SFS Kassel - Würzburg: Fahrplan für Personenzüge

Hier ist der Fahrplan für die Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel - Würzburg im Tabellenformat. Gut für ein paar Mitfahrten auf der Strecke. Der ganze Fahrplan inklusive Anschlusszüge und Nebenbahnen an den drei großen Bahnhöfen ist enthalten.
Timetable for the German high speed route Kassel to Würzburg. Comes in handy if you want to travel around as a passenger. This includes all connecting trains and branch lines you can see from the three big stations.

Einführung

Die eigentliche Schnellfahrstrecke wird von Fernverkehrszügen befahren. Dabei sind im Spiel Züge der Bauart ICE 1 und ICE 3 neben IC-Zügen zu sehen. Auch wenn drei Bahnhöfe erst mal nach wenig aussehen, ist der Fahrplan dieser Strecke einer der aufwändigsten, die es in TSW überhaupt gibt. Das liegt an den Nebenstrecken, die man sehen, aber nicht selbst befahren kann. So kreuzt die alte Strecke unter der Brücken der Schnellfahrstrecke und wird auch von Regionalverkehrszügen befahren.

The actual high-speed main line operates ICE and IC trains only (except for freight trains at night). You'll get ICE 1, ICE 3 and IC trains to see here. Even though just three stations doesn't sound like much, the timetable of this route is one of the most complex ones eveer created for a TSW addon. This is caused by all of the other train lines around the main line. You can see them, but you can't drive trains on them. Yet they still have trains operating on them. You can see these trains at all three stations and at some sections along the high-speed line where the old line can be seen next to the high-speed line or the high-speed line crosses other lines on a bridge.

Kassel - Würzburg

Einige Züge im Fahrplan halten nicht in Fulda. Somit fahren diese Züge nach ihrem Halt direkt ins Portal hinter Fulda. ICE 1689 spawnt bei Kassel, durchfährt aber alle Bahnhöfe bis Würzburg. Damit kann man also nur fahren, wenn man am Portal wartet und dann schnell einsteigt, bevor der Zug anfährt. HIerfür wird eine Mod benötigt, die verhindert, dass das Spiel beendet wird, wenn man den sichtbaren Bereich der Strecke verlässt!

Some trains on this timetable don't call at Fulda, they just pass through and head from Kassel straight towards the portal behind Fulda. ICE 1689 spawns at the portal north of Kassel but passes through all stations until Würzburg. If you want to catch that train, you need to wait at the portal and quickly enter it before it starts moving. This requires a mod that prevents a game over screen if you leave the "visible area" of the line.

Würzburg - Kassel

Auch hier gibt es wieder Züge, die nur ein mal halten. ICE 1688 hält nur in Würzburg und fährt in Fulda und Kassel ohne Halt durch. Es gibt mehrere ICE, die von Frankfurt kommen und nicht in Fulda halten. Um mit diesen Zügen zu fahren, muss man wie weiter oben beschrieben am Portal warten, bis dieser spawnt. Die Uhrzeiten, zu denen die Züge im Portal spawnen, sind im Fahrplan angegeben.

Once again thhere are some trains that only stop once. ICE 1688 only calls at Würzburg and passes through the other two stations until it reaches the portal north of Kassel. Several ICE trains spawn at the portal from Frankfurt but do not stop in Fulda. If you want to ride these, you have to wait at the portal for them to spawn as described above. Spawning times are included in the timetable.

Altbaustrecke Kassel - Fulda

Nahe der Schnellfahrstrecke gibt es auch die Altbaustrecke. Diese ist auch in TSW vorhanden, aber nur abschnittsweise. Genau genommen gibt es den Bereich bei Kassel, dann einen Streckenbereich bei Altmorschen, der unter einer Brücke der SFS kreuzt, sowie die Einfahrt nach Fulda. Der Bahnhof Altmorschen existiert in diesem DLC nur als Definition, er hat keine Bahnsteige. Züge, die von Frankfurt kommen oder dort hin fahren, sind bei Altmorschen nicht zu sehen. Aufgepasst: Man kann nicht über die ganze Altbaustrecke fahren, weil die Züge in Portalen despawnen! Erkundung auf eigene Gefahr.

Near the high-speed line there is the old line. This one also exists in TSW, but only some sections do. This includes the tracks around Kassel, then there is a section at Altmorschen where the old line goes under a bridge of the high-speed line. Altmorschen station only exists as a definition. It doesn't have got platforms in this DLC. Train to or from Frankfurt can not be spotted at Altmorschen. Finally there is the station approach in Fulda. Be aware: you can not travel the entire old line as trains will despawn in portals! So explore these areas at your own risk.

Anschlusszüge in Kassel

Diese Tabelle zeigt alle Züge, die am Bahnhof Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe halten, aber nicht südlich auf die Schnellfahrstrecke oder die Altbaustrecke nach Fulda fahren. Diese Züge kommen von Norden und fahren dort hin wieder zurück.

This table shows all trains that stop at Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe station but don't enter the high-speed line south or Kassel or the old line to Fulda. These trains all arrive from the north, change direction and head out back north.

Anschlusszüge in Fulda

Diese Tabelle listet alle Züge auf, die auf der Relation Frankfurt - Bebra fahren und deswegen nur in Fulda zu sehen sind. Die RB5 ist nicht hier aufgelistet, weil sie über die Altbaustrecke von Kassel fährt. Siehe dort.

This table lists all trains that go between Frankfurt and Bebra and - for that reason - can only be spotted in Fulda. RB5 trains are not listed up here as they operate on the old line from Kassel. Check out the timetable above to see them.

Altbaustrecken Lohr / Obersinn - Würzburg

In dieser Tabelle werden alle Züge aufgelistet, die bei bei Lohr oder Obersinn erscheinen und nach Würzburg fahren, sowie die Züge der Gegenrichtung. Die RE und RB-Züge fahre nicht durch, sondern verschwinden zwischen Gemünden und Veitshöchheim von der Strecke. Man kann damit also nicht von Lohr oder Burgsinn nach Würzburg oder anders herum fahren! Bei ICE und NJ-Zügen ist das anders - diese können zwischen Würzburg und Lohr genutzt werden. Dafür braucht es aber eine Mod, die es erlaubt, den sichtbaren Bereich der Strecke zu verlassen. Die Bahnhöfe Obersinn, Mittelsinn, Rieneck, Langenprozelten, Veitshöchheim und Würzburg-Zell gibt es in diesem DLC nur als Definition. Bahnsteige gibt es dort nicht.

In this timetable there are the trains that enter the line at Lohr or Obersinn and head towards Würzburg. Same on the way back. RE and RB trains don't go all the way through as they will despawn between Gemünden and Veitshöchheim. An an example, this means you can't ride these trains from Lohr or Burgsinn to Würzburg! You can however, ride ICE and NJ trains between Lohr and Würzburg as they do not despawn. That is, if you have a mod installed that allows you to abandon the "visible area" of the map. The stations of Obersinn, Mittelsinn, Rieneck, Langenprozelten, Veitshöchheim and Würzburg-Zell lack any station design. They just exist as definition in this DLC, so they don't have got platforms.

Anschlusszüge in Würzburg

In Würzburg gibt es zahlreiche Regionalverkehrszüge, die von Süden oder Osten her kommen und auch dort hin zurück fahren. Der Fahrplan ist daher sehr groß und wirkt auf den ersten Blick ziemlich verwirrend. Einige Züge werden auf sichtbaren Abstellgleisen auf der Karte abgestellt oder kommen von dort. Züge, die nördlich weiter fahren, sind nicht in dieser Liste enthalten (siehe Kapitel oben, Lohr/Obersinn - Würzburg).

In Würzburg there are a lot of connecting regional trains that arrive from the south or east where they terminate until they re-enter service and depart in the direction they came from. Either that or they just head to a siding that is in the visible part of the map. Due to the amount of trains, the timetable for this station is very big and might be confusing at start. Trains that continue to the north (or come from there) are not in this list. Check out the chapter above (Lohr/Obersinn - Würzburg).

Schlusswort

Der Fahrzeugeinsatz zeigt sich in alter TSW-Manier als nicht sehr akkurat, was wieder an fehlendem Rollmaterial liegt. Züge, die im realen Vorbild mit ICE 2 oder ICE T unterwegs sind, werden hier mit ICE 3 gefahren, während ICE 4-Leistungen mit ICE1-Fahrzeugen bedient werden. Überhaupt ist in der wirklichen Welt der ICE 3 nördlich von Würzburg selten auf dieser Strecke zu sehen.

Es sei positiv anzumerken, dass die meisten Regionalverkehrszüge an den Stationen simuliert werden, wenn auch nicht immer mit dem korrekten Fahrzeug. Dadurch wirken die Bahnhöfe belebter als in älteren Add-Ons wie etwa der Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr.

As we know from other TSW routes, the trains are not always correct. Trains that would normally operate ICE 2 or ICE T can be spotted as ICE 3 in this DLC. Trains that are ICE 4 in real life will be ICE 1 here. North of Würzburg, ICE 3 are a rare sight in the real-life counterpart.

It is quite nice to see that most regional trains are simulated which lets the stations appear a bit more busy compared to older DLC like Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr. However, once again, trains are not always correct.

Mir hätte es ja schon gefallen, wenn parallel zur NBS auch die Altbaustrecke existiert hätte so wie damals beim ProTrain Addon für den MSTS...leider macht sich DTG da gerne eine schlanken Fuß...

Wie geil wäre das noch von TSW wenn sie den Fahrplan mit der Kinzigtalbahn abgestimmt hätten... Ist aber leider nicht der Fall ;(
