This guide
Problems dealing with certain characters? Need tips on how to play specific roles? I've got you covered in this (almost finished) guide.

Most advice is aimed with the game's default settings in mind (15 players, 3 Gnosia, all roles). It should work in most other cases as well, but especially playing with missing roles might require different strats to be employed.

These are my other guides:
Gnosia
In instances in which Gnosia infection has been confirmed, the crew must find a way to reduce their risk level to zero. A method that has been found effective at reducing risk levels is putting those suspected of infection through a procedure known as "cold sleep". This allows the crew to use the infected person's use of impersonation to their own advantage, as well as to avoid instances of mass panic that can occur when more aggressive methods are employed for containment. Depending on the crew, military suppression is often used to control infection, but this increases chances of violence and death, as seen in the Hengupus case, and should not be used when the AI-evaluated plan is scored at 0.78 or less.

When employing cold sleep, the crew must first be informed that their foremost goal is to ultimately reduce risk of infection to zero by determining thise with the highest possibility of infection and systematically putting them into cold sleep with each Schrimpf transger. To achieve this, candidates for cold sleep treatment are to be decided through direct and clear communication between crew members. When infection has been confirmed, AI and embarkation functions are severly limited, so communication must be carried out berbally and face-to-face. This can also help to better see through an infected member's impostoring.

Additionally, upon confirmation of onboard infection, the ship's destination is automatically updated via AI to the solar system reachable with the highest number of Schrimpf transfers, and with the ship's current resources. If Schrimpf transfer to the target system is executed before the risk level has dropped to zero, the ship will self-destruction via extreme compression. This is, of course, to avoid spreading infection to the target solar system. Considering the Amange and Handan systems, which remaina threat to manking even after destruction, this process of purification via self-destruction is an unfortunate, yet unavoidable.

Achievement or failure of risk eradication will be determined and announced via the ship's AI upon completing of Schrimpf transfer. (Additionally, all interstellar vessels now require infection detection, destination designation and navigation control access restriction, and compression-based self-destruction features as anti-Gnosia protocol.)

General Skills
Doubt
Cast suspicion on someone else, Logic and Performance enhance effect, Charisma helps convince more people. Backfires on you when used on characters that are not found to be suspicious. Can be dangerous when used on characters that can Retaliate or use Don't Be Fooled.

Agree
Used to agree with someone's Doubt, making their effort more effective. Safer than doubting directly, also makes you stand out less.

Refute
Generally ineffective, though Logic and Performance help a bit. The weakest response to being doubted, but it may help a little with other characters coming to your defense.

Defend
Defend someone who is being doubted, Logic and Performance enhance effect, Charisma helps convince more people. Might make other characters suspect you and the character you're defending are working together, which may or may not be beneficial to you, depending on the situation.

Join Defense
Help someone's Defend skill. Just like Defend might make other characters suspect you and the character you're defending are working together, but it's not as out there as straight up defending someone.

Cover
Vouch for someone else, Logic and Performance enhance effect, Charisma helps convince more people. Backfires on you when used on characters that are found to be suspicious. Might make other characters suspect you and the character you're defending are working together, which may or may not be beneficial to you, depending on the situation.

Cover Together
Help someone's Cover skill. Just like Cover might make other characters suspect you and the character you're defending are working together, but it's not as out there as straight up defending someone.

Say Thanks
Can be used after someone covering for you. Affects amicability of other characters, both positively and negatively, depending on the situation.

Argue
Argue over the trustworthiness over someone who is being Covered for, Logic and Performance enhance effect, Charisma helps convince more people. Affects how other's see you, often with the covered being trusted and you being doubted, or the other way around.

Join Argument
Strengthen someone's Argue without standing out too much yourself. Isn't very effective.
Note: The game wrongly states that this is only used after Refute, but it's also used when you join someone in Argue.

Reveal Role
Reveal your role, fake or real, to everyone else. Only possible for Guard Duty, Engineer and Doctor. Gnosia, Bug, AC Follower and Guardian Angel can never announce their true role.

Reveal Own Role
When someone falsely claims to have your role, or when you can lie you can also step forward in response. You should always respond if your role gets falsely claimed by someone else.

Shut Up
Unlisted command, can be used when a character speaks too often, directing suspicion towards them.
Stat Skills
Step Forward
Charisma 10, usable by Gina, Raqio, Stella, Shigemichi, Setsu, Jonas, Otome, and Sha-Ming
Urge Guard Duty, Engineer or Doctor to step forwayd, once a day per unclaimed role. Higher Charisma has greater success rates, though it is almost guaranteed to work, especially during the first day.
(Wiki says usable by everyone but Remnan, but I've yet to see it.)

Exaggerate
Performance 15, usable by SQ, Raqio, Jonas, Kukrushka, and Sha-Ming
A stronger Agree, with having higher Performance enhancing effects. (I do suspect this might draw slightly more attention to you, though that's speculation on my own part.)

Seek Agreement
Charisma 25, usable by Shigemichi, Setsu, Jonas, Sha-Ming, and Yuriko
As strong as Agree, but with the added bonus that you call everyone at the table to action. A lot more characters will voice their opinion on the character that is being Doubted or Defended. That in turn might sway other characters. The amount of people that join in and voice their opinion is based on your Charisma.

Block Argument
Charisma 40, usable by Shigemichi, and Yuriko
Shuts down discussions around a Doubt or Defend. Might help solidify a Doubt or Defend, but will draw a lot of attention to whom used Block Argument.

Obfuscate
Stealth 25, usable by SQ, Shigemichi, Jonas, and Sha-Ming
A stronger Refute that gets more effective the higher your Stealth is.

Retaliate
Logic 25 & Performance 25, usable by Raqio, Setsu, Remnan, and Yuriko
An effective reverse doubt. Once hit by a doubt, you can use this skill to immediately cast suspicion on whoever doubted you. Ineffective if you're already hated by everyone. Makes doubt other characters who also know this skill much riskier.

Seek Help
Performance 30, usable by SQ, Stella, Kukrushka, Sha-Ming, and Yuriko
Ask someone to Defend you, which may or may not proof useful. Depends on whether your request gets accepted or denied, and whether the person that's defending you is suspected or not. Performance and a bit of Charisma enhances this ability.
(Wiki says also usable by Remnan, requires verification)

Regret
Charm 25, usable by SQ, Kukrushka, Otome, and Remnan
A stronger Refute that gets more effective the higher your Charm is.

Don't Be Fooled
Intuition 30, usable by Gina, Chipie, Comet, and Remnan
A strong Refute that can be used on characters that you've noticed that were lying, or if you are capable of lying on whomever you feel like. Functions like a Retaliate, but is dependent on whether other characters have noticed the lie or if they trust you. Effects get stronger with higher Intuition.

Vote
Logic 10, usable by Raqio, Setsu, Jonas, and Yuriko
Usable on someone that's been reported as Gnosia or Definite Enemy. Might convince characters to vote for them, though can backfire when used on wrong charactersor by those called out by a distrusted Engineer.
(Wiki says also usable by Stella, requires verification)

Don't Vote
Logic 15, usable by Gina, Raqio, Stella, Setsu, Otome, and Yuriko
Like Vote, but specifically used when you suspect the Bug is still in the game. Gnosia and Human both want them out of the game, so as long as enough characters fear the bug to still be there, you can redirect a vote on a possible Bug.

Definite Human
Logic 20, usable by Gina, Raqio, Stella, Setsu, Jonas, Otome, Remnan, and Yuriko
Only usable when the game determines someone as a Definite Human. Incredibly useful as it makes sure that the low Logic characters don't waste their time discussing moot points. Just don't call out the wrong person, as that makes you distrusted.

Definite Enemy
Logic 20, usable by Gina, Raqio, Stella, Setsu, Jonas, Otome, Remnan, and Yuriko
Only usable when the game determines someone as a Definite Enemy. Incredibly useful as it makes sure that the low Logic characters don't waste their time discussing moot points. Just don't call out the wrong person, as that makes you distrusted.

Freeze All
Logic 30, usable by Raqio, Stella, Setsu, Otome, and Yuriko
Attempt to convince everyone but the role you want to freeze whether or not to freeze everyone of that role. If the consensus is high, the following round people will constantly vote for those roles until they've all been frozen or eliminated. Especially high succes rate when 3 or 4 characters all claim to be a role. High Intelligence characters almost always agree with this proposal.
(Wiki says not usable by Setsu, but my notes say otherwise. I'll double-check.)

Small Talk
Stealth 10, usable by SQ, Shigemichi, Chipie, Jonas, and Sha-Ming
Waste a round of discussion by having Small Talk. Anyone that joins in becomes less likely to be targeted by Gnosia. Raises amicability between Small Talk participants, though might get interupted and raise suspicion towards those participating.

Let's Collaborate
Charm 15, usable by SQ, Chipie, Kukrushka, Sha-Ming, Remnan, and Yuriko
Attempt Collaboration with someone. Higher Charm helps, but there's a lot more things that influence success chance, such as your trustworthiness, being a Definite Human and amicability between you and the character you're trying to collaborate with. Only one attempt a day as long as you're not already collaborating.

Say I'm Human
Intuition 20, usable by Gina, Setsu, Comet, Jonas, and Yuriko
Have everyone state that they're human, which forces a lie from any Gnosia. Anyone that interrupts the session or withhold an answer is likely an enemy. SQ, Sha-Ming, Remnan and Yuriko will often withold an answer, even if they are humans. Usable once a loop.
Mind that the Bug is also considered lying during this check, as they are not considered Human. Im unsure if the person initiating Say I'm Human states their own humanity. Jonas' quip for it implies it does, but I don't have verification yet.

Grovel
Stealth 35, usable by Sha-Ming
Once a loop, try and get out of being chosen for cold sleep. High Perfermance might help the attempt. Whilst it often doesn't work, it might just get you out of trouble. In the edge case that you grovel yourself out of a situation where you and another person are being frozen at the same time, both of you don't get frozen if Grovel succeeds. But if Sha-Ming uses it with someone else in the round, the other person still gets frozen.
Roles
Gnosia
Considering whom to kill during the night? Here's some advice:

Advice on characters to kill, if your only options are crew. (From most to least important to kill)
  • Yuriko is kill on sight if she's not on your side.
  • Stella, Jonas, Remnan, Otome, and Setsu can all become problematic with powerful skills and thus are next on the priority list. Remnan is less of a priority in early loops and ends up in this category once late game hits.
  • Gina, Raqio, SQ and Chipie are next. These are characters that might be an issue, but tend to have some clear vulnerabilities that could be epxloited depending on the situation. Chipie and SQ are all-rounders, but both can't call out Definite Enemies. Gina has high Intuition, but generally lacks the presence to convince others and Raqio is smart, but a know-it-all and generally disliked.
  • Kukrushka and Comet are slightly lower on the priority list. They do still have good Intuition, but poor Logic. Again, they cannot determine Definite Enemies, which is perfect. Their danger is that they're emotional voters, especially Kukrushka. Consider killing them if they hate your guts.
  • Sha-Ming and Shigemichi you always keep alive unless they hate your guts. They have low Logic and Intuition, which means they likely won't spot your lies nor are clever enough to determine a Definite Enemy.

Need a quick check whether a character hates you even though they've not outright voted against you or doubted you? Visit them at night, if they respond hostile, you should consider eliminating them. Because they've not openly doubted you yet, nobody will see it as an act of revenge.
Bug - How to play?
Bug might be one of the easiest roles in the game, when played correctly. The upside of the Bug is that any win condition is a good condition. Gnosia seems to be playing bad? Help the Crew. Crew is being decimated? Help Gnosia.

However, as Bug there's only two things you should keep yourself busy with. First off, don't draw any suspicious attention. But more importantly, determine the real Engineer and get rid of them.

The Engineer is the only person that is a direct threat to you. If there's multiple Engineers and one claims you're Human? That's a guaranteed liar and now your best friend in ridding yourself of the real Engineer. If you should risk being conspicous for any reason, it's when you have the real Engineer in your sights. And ideally you have some smart Gnosia who are willing to chuck the real Engineer under the bus for you as well.

If you do get rid of the Engineer, good lie spotters and Gnosia become your next big threat. Lie spotters will make your life harder, especially if you have claimed a role. If someone doesn't disappear overnight, check if someone suddenly hates your guts. Chances are Gnosia tried to kill you and you are now likely to them to be a Bug. At this point it's best to retaliate and side with crew. Because especially the smarter Gnosia players (Stella, Yuriko, Otome, Raqio) will try to get rid of you as soon as possible.

You can claim a role falsely as Bug, but it's more difficult and risky. On top of that, if the roles that came forward guarantee Bug and AC Follower are among the picked roles, a smart Engineer will check other roles with a higher likelihood. It's a good way to hone your skills, but ultimately more dangerous.
Bug - Who is it?
Everyone's highest priority in the game should be determination of the Bug player. Strats are different for Gnosia and Crew and most advice here will be given with default settings in mind (15 players, 3 Gnosia, all roles).

Advice For All Roles
There's a couple of things to keep in mind that are relevant for all roles.
  • When there's a double death, the Bug is gone. You can focus on getting your win as Gnosia or Human.
  • Count role claims. In default settings, claims are made for Doctor and Engineer. No two Gnosia will both falsely claim to be the same role (unless you yourself do this as Gnosia). This means that if four people claim the same role, or three people Doctor and another three Engineer, it is guaranteed that the Bug is among falsely claimed roles. Otherwise, there is a possibility that the Bug is posing as Crew.
  • If someone really weirdly gets voted out, often with very little discussion or immediate bandwagonning hate on someone in round one, there's a high likelyhood that was the Bug. I don't know if it's the game being a bit weird under the hood or what, but I've noticed a bunch of games where the Bug gets voted out in the first round with pretty much all votes on them.

Advice For Gnosia
With default settings, Gnosia need to determine first who is Bug, AC Follower and the real roles. Gnosia have the upside that they can tell who is lying when they give their report as Doctor or Engineer. If there is three people claiming to be Engineer, and one of those people is Gnosia, just go about killing the competition. If you find someone you can't kill early, there's a high probability they are the Bug. Just take the L if it turned out to be the Guardian Angel protecting someone, RNG will sometimes just bite you where the sun don't shine. Finding out who is the Bug also has the upside that you can figure out who is the AC Follower. Don't be afraid to kill the AC Follower as you're figuring out who the Bug is. It's often a 50/50 whether you're trying to kill the Bug or the AC Follower, so flip that coin.

Advice For Crew
Figuring out the Bug as Crew is pretty rough unless you're the Engineer. Counting role claims is your best bet, especially if there's four people claiming the same role. In this situation you should almost always ask for a Freeze Everyone if you can and agree with anyone proposing so as well. The other characters can be complete dum dums and disagree that this is the best course of action. Though this is statistically worse for Gnosia than it is for Crew, as they lose two people for their win condition. So if someone with high Logic like a Yuriko opposes it, then they're probably on the Gnosia side. In general hope for your Engineer or the Gnosia to figure them out, it's not really your responsibility. (Unless you have the Intuition high enough to snuff out liars, or characters whom you trust calling out liars.)

Advice For Engineer
Keep in mind the counting role claims advice in Advice For All Roles. If there's a guarantee the Bug is among the claimed roles, start checking out any claimants until the Bug dies or you checked all roles. (Because they may have gotten frozen in the process, you should be thorough and check everyone still.) Your priority is always Bug first, Gnosia second. If claiming roles does not have a guarantee of a Bug, go with the flow. Checking out roles first is generally still advised, but make sure to find the Bug sooner rather than later.

Character Specific Advice
There's a few patterns I noticed with a couple of Bugs who I lost to more regularly.

First off, if you know the Bug is among picked roles, there's a few specific characters to watch out for. Anyone dogpiling on Shigemichi who has a role claimed, means he's a likely liar.

Secondly, if Raqio is among claimed roles, they have a higher than 4/6 chance to be a liar, due to their added likelihood to falsely claim roles when playing as a role that can lie.

Lastly, it's when there's less than six people claiming a role in total. There's a high likelyhood of a lying character laying low. Check the people that didn't claim roles. Are SQ and Sha-Ming among them? I've noticed that especially when one of these two haven't claimed a role, and AC Follower and Bug cannot be guaranteed among claimed roles, there's a massive chance it's one of those two.
Characters

These are their stat totals in order based on their max level. (As stated by the wiki's datamined information.)

Yuriko: 247.5
Jonas: 199.5
Kukrushka: 188
SQ: 187.5
Setsu: 187
Otome: 186
Remnan: 176.5
Stella: 174
Chipie: 173.5
Sha-Ming: 166.5
Gina: 163
Comet: 138
Shigemichi: 138
Raqio: 130
Gina

Gina is a strong all-rounder with especially high Intuition. She sees through lies easily and will often self sacrifice to help her allies win. She plays straightforward with very little theatrics. However, her Performance is low and she makes for an incredibly poor liar.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 17.5
  • Intuition: 45.5
  • Logic: 31.5
  • Charm: 24
  • Performance: 13
  • Stealth: 31.5

Skills:
  • Step Forward
  • Don't Be Fooled
  • Definite Human
  • Definite Enemy
  • Say I'm Human
  • Don't Vote

Player and Gina are Human
Gina is often easy to determine as a human, as she is a poor liar. This makes her claims easier to trust, especially considering she's really good at spotting lies. If she shows up at night claiming she found someone to be lying, it's best case scenario. If you're both crew, she's one of your strongest lie spotters and using her instincts should really help you on the long run.

Player and Gina are Gnosia
Gina will often get caught when playing Gnosia. The upside is that she will often go down with drawing all hate to her, taking the fall for the team. If you feel confident, take up the Engineer or Doctor role. If your lies are believable enough, you might also make Gina to become more trustworthy over time.

Player is Human, Gina is Gnosia
Most of the time Gina is not an issue as Gnosia. She's a poor liar and will often take the fall for another Gnosia. She rarely hits late game when playing as Gnosia (or any other lying role for that matter). Her charm can sometimes make it hard to have her frozen, but that's rarely an issue.

Player is Gnosia, Gina is Human
Watch out for Gina when playing as Gnosia. It's difficult to slip past her unnoticed and she will often spot your lies. Try and eliminate her as soon as she starts figuring out you're lying, preferably earlier if able. This is even more important if she's Guard Duty. Getting her implicated is an easy way to get rid of her, but it requires you to play a clever game, which often requires you to fake a role.

Miscellaneous
  • Gina will never initiate collaboration, neither during discussions or during the night.
SQ

SQ makes a formidable opponent. She has generally high stats with exceptionally high Charm, Performance and Stealth, making her a hard read. She plays the game fast and loose, often defying any logic. Coincidentially, her Logic is incredibly poor, making her miss obvious mistakes in other's rhetorics.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 22
  • Intuition: 21.5
  • Logic: 12
  • Charm: 46
  • Performance: 47.5
  • Stealth: 38.5

Skills:
  • Exaggerate
  • Obfuscate
  • Seek Help
  • Regret
  • Small Talk
  • Let's Collaborate

Player and SQ are Human
SQ is a strong player, but a self-preservation focussed one. Trust is important if you think SQ is on your side. She also often votes emotionally, so as long as you keep things friendly, SQ makes a pretty good ally.

Player and SQ are Gnosia
SQ is one of the best characters to have on your side as Gnosia. They tend to make it late game often when playing Gnosia. The only important thing to keep in mind is that SQ values self-preservation, which means she will ditch you the second you gain too much distrust.

Player is Human, SQ is Gnosia
SQ is a problem when Gnosia. She tends to survive for long and is great at getting people on her side. Doubting her often backfires. Instead, focus on your own standing within the group. Be on the defensive instead of the offensive. Defend people you trust, cover for them if you have to. Strike once you think more people trust you over SQ.

Player is Gnosia, SQ is Human
Try and not get on SQ's bad side. Her intuition is pretty decent and might figure out you're a liar early. Once SQ dislikes you, she will use her high Performance against you, which is often a slippery slope to being frozen. Try and eliminate her as soon as you suspect her getting fed up with you. A useful way to figure this out is visiting her at night and checking wether she responds cordially.

Collaboration
My general advice on collaboration with SQ is know what you're getting yourself into. I only recommend collaborating with her if you suspect she's on your side. She's not against killing her collaborators when playing as Gnosia. She's pretty open to collaboration on average. She also has an annoying habit of being good at collaboration with Guard Duty, which may or may not be a problem.
Raqio

Raqio is a smart-ass with a flair for the dramatic. Their insane Logic and great Performance stats make them a dangerous player at the table. However their remaining stats are low, making them generally disliked and easily voted out or eliminated. According to the game they love faking roles.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 16.5
  • Intuition: 0.5
  • Logic: 49.5
  • Charm: 7.5
  • Performance: 35.5
  • Stealth: 20.5

Skills:
  • Step Forward
  • Exaggerate
  • Retaliate
  • Vote
  • Don't Vote
  • Definite Human
  • Definite Enemy
  • Freeze All

Player and Raqio are Human
Raqio is a smart cookie and when you suspect they're also human, keeping them alive is useful. They draw ire quickly, which can be a double edged blade. If Raqio is being doubted despite you being sure they're human, you can attempt trying to vouch for them, but this can backfire. They are easy targets by Gnosia that eliminate emotionally. Which you can in turn use to determine who's Gnosia.

Player and Raqio are Gnosia
Raqio does not care about teamplay. They'll throw you and if they have to themselves under the bus. They'll sometimes implicate themselves if they catch someone in a lie. They are compelled to call out Definite Human/Enemy. Ideally, you use Raqio as a way to create a split in the group, with a Gnosia on both sides.

Player is Human, Raqio is Gnosia
My only advice is to not be the smartest character in the room when you suspect Raqio to be Gnosia. They eliminate the biggest threats first, which might be you if you sniff out their lies and their fellow Gnosia. They do however get voted out easy, so try and get them voted out immediately when you realise they're Gnosia.

Player is Gnosia, Raqio is Human
Raqio can be a danger if they're allowed to call out Definite Human/Enemy. They're pretty good at calculating the odds of the player being dangerous. However, they're Intuition is garbage, so lie to your heart's content when facing Raqio.

Miscellaneous
A Raqio that doesn't announce a role is almost guaranteed crew. Raqio loves faking roles, which means that if they're Bug, AC Follower or Gnosia, Raqio loves pretending something they're not. Which makes them easier to spot as crew.
Stella

Stella is a smart opponent, with Logic being her strongest suit. She tends to not outright anger other characters, often defending over doubting. She plays very risk-averse, which can be both a blessing or her downfall.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 27
  • Intuition: 18
  • Logic: 42
  • Charm: 27.5
  • Performance: 30.5
  • Stealth: 29

Skills:
  • Step Forward
  • Seek Help
  • Don't Vote
  • Definite Human
  • Definite Enemy
  • Freeze All

Player and Stella are Human
Stella as an ally is ideal. She's clever and generally pretty good at not angering people. She will often defend anyone under suspicion that she likes, so get on her good side when you can. Her weakness is however that she makes an easy target for most Gnosia and is often prioritised.

Player and Stella are Gnosia
Stella's risk-averse behaviour of mostly covering and not outright doubting other characters might be problematic. If Stella falls under suspicion, she might immediately try to cover for her fellow Gnosia. If she does this for you, reject it. However, Stella generally doesn't garner a lot of hate, as she is generally like, has high performance and isn't afraid of using Seek Help. Again, be careful on accepting the Seek Help if she targets you.

Player is Human, Stella is Gnosia
Stella as Gnosia is rather dangerous. She's smart and good at Performance, making voting her out hard. Plus, if she sees you as a threat, there's a good chance she'll make you disappear overnight. To identify her as Gnosia, make sure to see if she tends to cover for suspicious individuals. This is often a tell that she's not human. If you do doubt her, try to get her voted out that same round if you want to avoid disappearing overnight.

Player is Gnosia, Stella is Human
Stella is also a threat when Human, her high Logic and Performance makes her good at calling you out on any suspicious behaviour as well as getting other people on her side. If you can, make her disappear early on. She's dangerous when left alive for too long.

Miscellaneous
  • When faking a role, tends to play safely, rarely lying about her made-up findings. This tends to implicate her as a Definite Enemy if the round goes on long enough.
Shigemichi

Shigemichi is just happy to be here. He has great Stealth and Charisma stats, but that is also all he has. Being the very model of obliviousness, Shigemichi is just here for the ride and contributes not much more than the ability to vote. To put it in simpler and meaner terms: Shigemichi is the worst at the game, no matter what role he is.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 35.5
  • Intuition: 14.5
  • Logic : 9.5
  • Charm: 17.5
  • Performance: 6
  • Stealth: 45

Skills:
  • Step Forward
  • Seek Agreement
  • Block Argument
  • Obfuscate
  • Small Talk

Player and Shigemichi are Human
There is actually a really easy way to figure out if Shigemichi is Human, albeit a bit situational. If Shigemichi claims a role, and nobody suspects him in the first two days, he is almost guaranteed the role he's claimed to be. Because he is such a poor liar, it makes his truths easier to verify. He'll probably still get eliminated along the way, though. But in these situations he's a good way to get some information.

Player and Shigemichi are Gnosia
Toss him under the bus immediately. He's a poor liar and he is a danger to his Gnosia especially when he takes on the Engineer role. He takes on a role? Doubt him immediately. Three other characters have probably already noticed him lying. Might as well use him to raise trust between you and the Human players.

Player is Human, Shigemichi is Gnosia
I doubt you'd even need advice on this. Gnosia Shigemichi tends to not survive past the second day. Also when he's a Bug or AC Follower, he's just out of the game before you know it.

Player is Gnosia, Shigemichi is Human
Unless you suspect him to be a Bug, let this one live for as long as possible. A general rule of thumb is to keep characters alive with low Intuition and Logic when playing as Gnosia. Shigemichi and Sha-Ming are prime candidates for this.
Setsu

Setsu is a strong all-rounder. They play a clean game with very little extra flair. Despite being an all-rounder, they prefer to use skills in the Logic category and will outright not use theatrical actions. Their Stealth is on the weaker side, making them an easy target. They are your constant companion in the game, whether with or against you.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 35
  • Intuition: 28.5
  • Logic: 38.5
  • Charm: 36.5
  • Performance: 31
  • Stealth: 17.5

Skills:
  • Step Forward
  • Seek Agreement
  • Retaliate
  • Vote
  • Don't Vote
  • Definite Human
  • Definite Enemy
  • Freeze All
  • Say I'm Human

Setsu is here too, I guess
Setsu's presence in gameplay is actually pretty low considering them being the other main protagonist. They're less likely to call you out on any behaviour, nor do they speak up and throw accusations around a whole lot. Their stats are average around the board and Setsu never seems to really claim the spotlight. I actually see it rarely that Setsu wins a match as Gnosia too, and tends to be killed quite frequently. Their lack of engagement and otherwise useful tells makes them not very useful to any deducing on the player's part.

All in all, justice for Setsu, give them personality in their gameplay. I think the devs designed them too safe.

Miscellaneous
  • I dont think Setsu ever asks to collaborate, neither in or outside of debate.
  • Setsu is always in the game, no matter how low the amount of players there are in the game. They're 100% guaranteed to be in a match.
Chipie

Chipie's odd combination of strong suits being Stealth, Intuition and Charm make him a bit of a weird character. He can be hard to read, good at swaying the table and can really derail the game if you don't get a read on him quick enough. A true Jack of All Trades, Master of None.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 25
  • Intuition: 39
  • Logic: 18.5
  • Charm: 31
  • Performance: 26.5
  • Stealth: 33.5

Skills:
  • Don't Be Fooled
  • Small Talk
  • Let's Collaborate

Like Setsu, but at least has a tell
Chipie has similar issues to Setsu, being pretty much an all-rounder. However, Chipie's habit of 'social play' makes him at least a bit more interesting. He has a higher chance of asking, and getting accepted, for a collaboration. And this causes the table to swing more in his favor. His all-round stats, but his disposition of being 'a likeable guy' at least makes him somewhat more interesting in gameplay than Setsu is.

This more social play doesn't make getting a read on him easier. He will ask for collaborations regardless of roles, but generally only people he thinks are on his side when crew, and especially loves collaborations when Gnosia. That's about the best thing you can use when determining what Chipie's role is.
Comet

Comet is the very definition of a specialist, and a weird one at that. Her Intuition is ridiculously high, making her spot most lies. However, pretty much everything else, except her Charm, is complete and utter garbage. She'll miss the most obvious contradictions and will vote to eject Guard Duty if they look at her funny.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 17
  • Intuition: 49.5
  • Logic: 0.5
  • Charm: 32.5
  • Performance: 16.5
  • Stealth: 22

Skills:
  • Don't Be Fooled
  • Say I'm Human

Player and Comet are Human
If you suspect Comet is on your side, trust her doubts. She's fantastic at spotting lies and makes it especially easy to vote someone out if she tells you at night that someone is lying. Apart from her great lie detection skills, she's pretty run of the mill.

Player and Comet are Gnosia
Comet as a fellow Gnosia can be a death sentence. Comet sucks at lying. She is also terrible at faking roles. To ensure your own success, consider ditching Comet as soon as she draws the slightest bit of attention.

Player is Human, Comet is Gnosia
Comet is generally an easy spot as Gnosia. She's a poor liar and often gets called out. Sometimes she also gives herself away by visiting at night time and telling you someone else is lying. You can always use this to test Comet's alliance, but sometimes she also gives herself away by doubting someone you already find trustworthy.

Player is Gnosia, Comet is Human
Comet might sound pretty scary with her ability to spot lies, but she can struggle to have others back her up. Abuse that. If she does gets very hostile and there's no other priority targets, get rid of her. She has the upside that she can't call out Definite Enemies, which means that in certain situations she can't do anything against you.
Jonas

Jonas has incredible stats and has a huge pool of skills at his disposal. The downside is that he is a complete chaotic mess. He does as he pleases and especially enjoys exaggerating other people's doubts, whether or not he seems to believe it to begin with.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 38.5
  • Intuition: 25
  • Logic: 34
  • Charm: 21.5
  • Performance: 43.5
  • Stealth: 37

Skills:
  • Step Forward
  • Exaggerate
  • Seek Agreement
  • Obfuscate
  • Vote
  • Definite Human
  • Definite Enemy
  • Small Talk
  • Say I'm Human

Jonas is Jonas
Jonas is quite likely the most annoying character to deal with. He's got a big and broad stat pool, but sometimes none of that matters in the slightest, cause Jonas does as he pleases. Whatever is happening under the hood, Jonas seems to be programmed in such a way that he behaves differently each game. Sometimes he seems to play optimally, playing his role perfectly. Other games he just seems to make the worst conclusions, he might notice Shigemichi is lying and simply not care. Sometimes you might forget Jonas is even in the game, as he barely says anything in a game.

Best way to deal with Jonas is play clean, deduce Definite Enemies and get a read on the rest of the crew. You should be able to figure out what he is by the choices of the rest of the crew. Especially if you think he might be Gnosia, then his fellow Gnosia might try and cover for him at weird moments, so use suspicious people to snuff out a Gnosia Jonas.

All in all, be happy his Charm is on the low side, so he has a tendency to piss off other characters as well, getting voted out quite easy when he raises suspicion. Which in turn might be a double-edged sword if he was human and so were you.
Kukrushka

Kukrushka tugs on every emotional string she can find. She's great at shaking suspicion away from herself and people love collaborating with her. However, her Logic is incredibly low. She will often fail at faking a role and getting implicated as a Definite Enemy in the process.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 14
  • Intuition: 35.5
  • Logic: 3.5
  • Charm: 49.5
  • Performance: 45
  • Stealth: 37

Skills:
  • Exaggerate
  • Seek Help
  • Regret
  • Let's Collaborate

Player and Kukrushka are Human
Kukrushka is a rough teammate in general. She's an emotional voter and if manipulated by a Gnosia player, she will start voting to protect her collaborator. Trust and amicability are valued when you think Kukrushka is on your side. If necessary, protect a Gnosia she likes for a bit to first get rid of the others. Over time she may find her collaborator lying anyways due to her high intuition.

Player and Kukrushka are Gnosia
Kukrushka's habit of faking roles and immediately clearing her fellow Gnosia as humans is a problematic trait. If she gets implicated, there's a good chance you're next. When playing with her as Gnosia, be willing to throw her under the bus as soon as possible, especially in a round where she just cleared you as human.

Player is Human, Kukrushka is Gnosia
Kukrushka is hard to vote out if she's Gnosia. Her constant use of Regret makes it really difficult to doubt her. However, Kukrushka is also an idiot and more often than not implicates herself. She has a huge tendency to say her fellow Gnosia are human when faking Engineer or Doctor. Do be a bit careful when hitting her with a doubt and there's no follow-up. Kukrushka as Gnosia kills emotionally, so don't piss her off too much.

Player is Gnosia, Kukrushka is Human
Kukrushka's strong intuition makes her a bit dangerous. She's an emotional voter and liars are prime candidates for a hate vote. I always advice keeping an eye on her opinion of you, like other high intuition characters. If her mood suddenly shifts, she may have just caught you in a lie. Dispose of her if you can sooner rather than later. Due to her high charm it's hard to win a doubt battle between you and her.
Otome

Otome is incredibly clever, boasting high Logic and Charm. She hates doubting other characters and will often take the side of characters under fire, unless she knows them logcially to be a threat. Her Charisma isn't great however, and she tends to be voted off quickly at the slightest hint of suspicion.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 16
  • Intuition: 32
  • Logic: 46.5
  • Charm: 42
  • Performance: 23
  • Stealth: 26.5

Skills:
  • Step Forward
  • Regret
  • Don't Vote
  • Definite Human
  • Definite Enemy
  • Freeze All

Player and Otome are Human
Otome is a wonderful ally. With both good Intuition and Logic, she makes herself useful in many games. However, she has trouble voting against characters she takes a liking to, even if she knows that they could be trouble. She seems to very often have trouble voting against a Gnosia Kukrushka, though sometimes also SQ and Remnan when they're Gnosia. I think their capability to use Regret adds to this quite dramatically.

Player and Otome are Gnosia
Otome can be a bit of a liability when on your side as Gnosia. She has a habit of protecting people under fire, which is annoying if she starts implicating herself when trying to protect another Gnosia player. Especially when they're still a bunch of high Logic characters alive, this gets problematic. At times like these, take the side of whomever doubts her. However, Otome is generally liked, which does make her harder to vote out of the game.

Player is Human, Otome is Gnosia
Otome can be hard to get rid of. She's generally liked and her use of Regret makes her rough to vote out. Ideally try and have her implicate herself. She can be a bit of a problem later on, as her eliminations as Gnosia can be a bit predictable, due to both her Logic being high, but also her inclination to be kind, making her an emotional eliminator at times. She does have a tendency to protect her fellow Gnosia in discussions, so pay attention to who she covers for.

Player is Gnosia, Otome is Human
Otome can be dangerous when left around for too long. With both moderately high Intuition and Logic, she will at some point figure out what you're up to. However, she is a kind soul, which can be abused. She seems more sensitive to the skill Regret, and will hate betraying people she initially trusted. This interestingly often makes her side with Kukrushka, Remnan and SQ. Consider having her like you early on in the game, it should delay her turning on you if you can't get rid of her for whatever reason.
Sha-Ming

Sha-Ming is a sneaky rat that is very good at staying alive and often makes it to at least halfway through a round. His Intuition and Logic are complete garbage however, so his opinions are generally baseless.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 29
  • Intuition: 6.5
  • Logic: 6.5
  • Charm: 34.5
  • Performance: 40.5
  • Stealth: 49.5

Skills:
  • Step Forward
  • Seek Agreement
  • Exaggerate
  • Obfuscate
  • Seek Help
  • Small Talk
  • Let's Collaborate
  • Grovel

Player and Sha-Ming are Human
If you're fairly sure both you and Sha-Ming are human, consider staying alive to slowly tip the the scales in your favor. His Intuition and Logic are low, so don't start bandwagoning on his opinions. Instead, make sure to use Small Talk every turn. Sha-Ming is almost guaranteed to join in due to his personality, or start the action himself if you are unable. Wins with Sha-Ming often tend to have a high body count, so be prepared for a clutch final debate.

Player and Sha-Ming are Gnosia
Whatever you do, don't become suspicious to the group. Sha-Ming will ditch you without a second thought. Sha-Ming doesn't care about collective wins. As long as you are considered trustworthy, Sha-Ming will help defend you. If Sha-Ming become suspicious however, throw him under the bus immediately. Sha-Ming will try his best to survive, even if it's at the cost of the Gnosia winning.

Player is Human, Sha-Ming is Gnosia
Watch out if Sha-Ming suddenly halfway through the game starts looking out for collaborations or starts telling you that other characters are lying. Considering his Intuition is low, Sha-Ming is garbage at seeing through lies, so he's very likely to lie himself in this scenario. I see this behaviour of his often when he's the final Gnosia left alive. Other characters tend to not pick up on his intentions. So when he's starting to act out of character like this, throw him under the bus.

Player is Gnosia, Sha-Ming is Human
Sha-Ming's low Intuition and Logic are great assets to a Gnosia players. As long as he trusts you, combined with his self preservation playstyle, he will group up with you as Gnosia and never vote against you, unless you're a Definite Enemy. And he isn't smart enough to determine Definite Enemies, so that's an added bonus. Him and Shigemichi are both characters with low Intuition and Logic which are prime candidates for Gnosia to leave alive.

Collaboration
Sha-Ming is a great collaborator. It seems counterintuitive as he seems like someone who only cares about his own survival rate, but that's exactly why this works. I even recommend blindly collaborating with him.
  • In the case that you are a guaranteed Human, either by role or by deduction, Sha-Ming will almost always agree to collaboration, or even actively look for it. In this situation, he is very inclined to follow you opinions, even if he turns out to be a Bug or Gnosia.
  • In the case that Sha-Ming is Gnosia and you are not, it's still very useful to collaborate with him. Due to the fact that he values self-preservation, he will start tossing his other Gnosia under the bus to stay alive himself. On top of that, he will try and keep you alive. This is ideal. You can turn on him at the last moment, and even if he uses Grovel to get himself out, he will likely not kill you that night due to your Collaboration status.
  • The only time Sha-Ming seems to reject collaboration is if he is crew and not sure whether or not you are human. It's that, or he is a Detractor to you in that particular loop.
  • If he's an AC Follower or Bug, he will be much more inclined to accept collaboration from someone who is not a Definite Human.
  • His acceptance to collaboration is dramatically increased if you're playing as a female main character.
Remnan

Remnan is a shy character who will rarely speak up and is often at the receiving end of suspicion, sometimes even when proven human. His stats are decent, but his low Charisma does him no favors in debate. However, he becomes a real threat once you get to late game.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 2
  • Intuition: 41
  • Logic: 28
  • Charm: 29
  • Performance: 33
  • Stealth: 43.5

Skills:
  • Retaliate
  • Regret
  • Don't Be Fooled
  • Definite Human
  • Definite Enemy
  • Let's Collaborate

Oh hi Remnan, forgot you were here
Remnan's general disposition means you might often forget he's even in the game. He speaks up very little and generally doesn't add much to the conversation, especially in earlier rounds. The only time he shines is when he's under fire, either by crew or Gnosia.

Remnan, despite being quiet, does pick up on liars easy. When falsely targeted by Gnosia in debate, his sudden use of Retaliate can really shift the dynamic of the game, so do watch out when calling him out when playing as Gnosia. As Gnosia, Remnan can also be a pain to deal with due to his high Stealth and Performance. When Retaliate is not an option, Regret is his next go-to move, and other characters tend to feel really sorry for him easy. Bit of a rough character to play around, and probably requires the most insight in the game to truly make use of his skills.
Yuriko

Yuriko is the scariest character the game has to offer. She's clever, great at reading the room, an amazing liar and will rarely slip up. Her only weakness is her Stealth that is on the low side. Ally or foe, she is great at derailing the game in her favor.

Stats:
  • Charisma: 49.5
  • Intuition: 42
  • Logic: 44
  • Charm: 37.5
  • Performance: 49.5
  • Stealth: 25

Skills:
  • Seek Agreement
  • Block Argument
  • Retaliate
  • Seek Help
  • Vote
  • Don't Vote
  • Definite Human
  • Definite Enemy
  • Freeze All

  • Say I'm Human

Player and Yuriko are Human
If you're quite sure both you and Yuriko are human, defend her with your life. Yuriko is clever and can turn a room, having her trust you is a near guaranteed win. Look at who she calls out as being suspicious and follow her lead. Try and occasionally use Small Talk to keep yourself in the game, else Gnosia seem to love killing you first to get to Yuriko.

Player and Yuriko are Gnosia
Honestly pretty straight forward as long as you can figure out the Bug and get rid of them. Do mind that if you get too suspicious, Yuriko will turn on you. Play it safe and smart, and Yuriko will feel inclined to protect you as well. Honestly one of the best case scenario's to be Gnosia with Yuriko.

Player is Human, Yuriko is Gnosia
If you suspect Yuriko to be a Gnosia when playing as crew, play it safe. Unless the room is already suspecting her, try and be careful throwing accusations her way. Try and have high Intuition and low Logic characters follow your lead. If they don't, don't push too hard. Push too hard and she will either get you frozen or kill you the following night. Patience is key with Yuriko. Try have her throw her other Gnosia under the bus and hope for a moment to call her out on being a Definite Enemy.

Player is Gnosia, Yuriko is Human
If Yuriko is human and you're Gnosia, kill her round one. Yuriko is terrifying. She will call you out on your lies and convince everyone else to have you frozen. Eliminate her as soon as you can. If she turns out to be a bug, my condolences.

Collaboration
My general advice on collaboration with Yuriko is know what you're getting yourself into. I only recommend collaborating with her if you suspect she's on your side. She's not against killing her collaborators when playing as Gnosia. She's also generally reluctant to collaborate, especially when you have to ask her.

Miscellaneous
  • Yuriko will often withhold an answer during "State You're Human", whether she is Gnosia or not.
  • Yuriko does not show up in matches with 13 or less players. (Except for a few scripted moments.)
