Stats:
200 hunger
100 sanity
175 health

Pros: wearing hats gives you special effects for gathering, exploration, combat, and more! Make sure to experiment with the hats at your disposal to find effective combinations.

Cons: with every hat comes a negative effect as well: either lose hunger, speed, sanity, or damage output as you wear it. Additionally, wearing no hats at all makes Winston go insane incredibly fast.

Hat effects:
Garland: Butterflies ignore you
Straw Hat: Faster building and gathering
Bush Hat: Slower hunger drain
Feather Hat: Birds ignore you
Earmuffs: Most prey ignores you
Winter Hat: instantly break ice caps
Rain Hat: faster building and gathering, get twice the resources from gathering
Moggles: mine faster
Fashion Melon: much slower hunger drain
Funcaps: act as light sources
Football Helmet: damage increases the longer you move for
Battle Helm: lifesteal ability
Beefalo Hat: greatly increased health, decreased damage multiplier
Hardwood Hat: chop trees faster, living logs increase damage multiplier
Bee Queen Crown: leave a sticky honey trail behind you
Slurtle Hat: Do more damage as the enemy loses health
Cookie Cutter Cap: thorns effect
Thulecite Crown: gems in the inventory give you various perks, but increase hunger drain
Beekeeper Hat: do significantly more damage when the enemy is at full health
Ice Cube: deal freezing damage
Miner Hat: nightmare creatures will not attack you
Balloon Hat: deal massive damage as balloon hat pops
Eye Mask: food gives health instead of hunger
Spider Hat: Collecting spider-related materials boost player stats
Tam O' Shanter: acts as a small light source
Gardeneer Hat: when eaten, food gives more health, hunger, and sanity
Premier Gardeneer Hat: Same effects as the Gardeneer Hat, but with the added bonus of acting as a fridge
Night Cap: decreased hunger drain, and a small health regeneration effect
Catcoon Cap: gain more sanity the more trinkets you have in your inventory
Pinetree Pioneer Hat: regenerate health during the day
Eyebrella: while raining, gain a large amount of sanity
Bone Helm: hunger drain is paused, at the cost of max health
Top Hat: pig king trades are better, and pigs stay with you for longer
Clever Disguise: swamp enemies are less hostile towards you
Turfraiser Crown: can break hard materials with basic tools, and mine much faster
Pirate's Bandana: turn into Wonkey immediately. taking the hat off does not reverse the effect.
Captain's Tricorn: monkeys are neutral, and you can understand them
Polly Roger's Hat: birds occasionally give you valuable gifts
Goggles: slight speed boost
Desert Goggles: moderate speed boost
Astroggles: large speed boost
Seawreath: the more moisture Winston has, the faster he moves
