THE CINEMA CHALLENGE

This map is part of the cinema-themed map contest by NoahJ456, designed and developed by DonAndres_666.


"The Cinema Challenge" is a unique map where you will face various challenges and mini-games, zombies, and much more, all set in 8 different movies.


After the success of my previous maps in this format (Retro Arcade Challenge and Rock Music Challenge), I have decided to create another "8 door challenge" map. In this case, the starting area is a cinema room, a safe zone without zombies where you can buy weapons and drinks and access each of the 8 challenges in the order you prefer. Each challenge corresponds to a different movie, and each one has a different Easter egg.




In each challenge, there is a Quick Revive bottle to purchase and a sniper bullet to obtain ammunition.

The Godfather
In the beginning, it is a One Window Challenge in the Godfather's office. After surviving for a while, the zombies will disappear, and you will have to rearrange the paintings in the room according to the order of the movie scenes. If you are not familiar with this order, you can call the Godfather using the phone in the room, and he will inform you of the correct order. To rearrange the paintings, you must pick them up and place them in another position. You can only pick up one painting at a time and place it in an empty space. (The first empty space is marked with an X on the wall.)

The two stone swords are used to collect souls. Once you have completed collecting souls, the "Spartan Kick" ability will be unlocked. This ability is activated by jumping and knifing in the air. You will need to kill several zombies with Spartan kicks to complete the challenge. You can try kicking zombies into the well to make it more fun!

The Shining
You will have to survive in "The Shining" hallway. At some point, the lights will flicker and go out. After a few seconds, the zombies will die, and one of the light bulbs in the hallway will illuminate. Depending on which bulbs are lit, you will have to call out to a specific door in the hallway. There is a painting that will indicate which door corresponds to each bulb position. You must open the correct door three times.

Pulp Fiction
In this challenge, the dance scene from Pulp Fiction has been recreated. The song "You Never Can Tell" plays in the background, but it's sung by the map creator to avoid copyright issues (I did what I could, HAHAHAHA). The objective is to have at least one zombie on the stage for a certain amount of time.

Ratatouille
This challenge takes place in Gusteau's restaurant kitchen, but players and zombies are the size of rats. In one area of the kitchen, there is a recipe that needs to be followed. The steps are as follows:
1.-Cut the potatoes with the knife. The potatoes are located next to the sink, and you must knife them 10 times to cut them.
2.-Take the cut potatoes to the fryer and wait for them to fry.
3.-Take the fried potatoes and place them on the plate in front of the recipe note.
4.-Look for the bottle of ketchup and pour it onto the plate with the potatoes.
5.-Look for the salt and sprinkle it onto the plate with the potatoes.

Basic Instinct
In this level, you will have to collect souls and feed them to the monkey on the chair. Once it's fully fed, you can solve a puzzle on the screen by shooting the lines to draw or erase them. If you find the puzzle too challenging, you have the option to pay to skip it. Once you complete the puzzle, you need to collect souls for the monkey again and solve another puzzle. There are a total of 3 puzzles to solve, with each one being more difficult than the previous one.

Matrix
This challenge takes place in the white room of The Matrix. Different training programs will be loaded, consisting of two phases. The first phase removes your weapon, and you can only dodge the enemies, while the second phase allows you to eliminate the enemies. There are four training programs: the first one pits you against zombies, the second against parasites, the third against Shrieker zombies, and the final one combines all of them together.

Rio Bravo

This challenge takes place in the Rio Bravo prison. It is inspired by the famous scene where the protagonists sing the song "My Rifle, My Pony, and Me." To avoid copyright issues, the map creator has recorded the song himself. At the beginning of the challenge, you will be given a guitar as your weapon, and you must defend the area solely with the guitar while the song is playing. Once the song is over, the challenge will be completed.

To avoid copyright issues, I have personally recorded the songs myself. The music in the initial room is silent film music without copyright restrictions.

Since NoahJ456 released this contest (on June 1st), I have dedicated a lot of hours to bring you this map. It consists of almost 2000 lines of code and a lot of work behind each of the areas and ideas for each challenge. Undoubtedly, when this map is released, there will be a ton of amazing maps made by people with a much larger social following than mine. I would appreciate it if you could give the map as much support as possible because what I wouldn't want is for this map to get lost in the workshop due to being released at the same time as other maps from bigger creators.
