Neil Breen Doubles Down Against The Zombies

This map was made by myself, Abnormal202, during Noahj's June 2023 Zombie Map Contest. The theme for the competition was movies, so I picked one of the best worst movies of all time... "Double Down" by Neil Breen! If you haven't heard of it, I don't blame you. He is a small director coming to prominence thanks to his movies being so bad they're good. Double Down (and many of his other films) feature lots of themes of spies, corruption, hacking, and supernatural powers, so I tried to incorporate all those things into the map! I even made two important plot points in the movie into fun challenges in the map, so get ready to protect your wife from assassins, and don't forget to poison the lake with anthrax, agent.

Results: This map tied with copforthat's Hellraiser and esper's Odyssey map for 20th place in Noahj's competition, making it a winner!



- Specials that appear include the Fire Margwa, Napalm Zombie, and Rex's Skullbreaker



- Enjoy all 3 of my custom perks I have created over the years! This is my debut map for Windrunner Whiskey as well, a perk I hope you'll find very useful for the pool area of the map in particular
- Classic 3arc perks include: Quick Revive, Speed Cola, Double Tap 2, Juggernog, Deadshot Daiquiri, Staminup, Electric Cherry, Vulture Aid, Who's Who, Mule Kick, and PHD Flopper (Note: Some perks are only accessible through the nefariously placed Wunderfizz)



- You must complete the 2 different challenges in order to unlock the Pack-a-Punch area. The challenges take on a new role afterwards though, as you can earn lots of extra points from repeating them, helping you get closer to that buyable ending faster
- Save your wife from waves of assassins, and earn points from your wife insurance when she joins you as a buddy!
- Memorize the pattern and hop on the wooden planks to get to the remote islands. But be careful, time is short and the zombies can walk on water, so don't get stranded!



- Is this driver a friend or a foe? Hard to say because they kill zombies and people alike. Take advantage of the dangerous road to deal with tanky special zombies or hoards, but be careful not to get run over yourself!

- A weapon lineup consisting mainly of Black Ops 2 weapons, with some Black Ops 3 and World at War weapons thrown into the mix
- After completing your first challenge you can use the Hacking device from moon to repair barriers, roll powerups into max ammos, and more!
- After completing the second challenge enjoy improved melee with one inch punch from origins
- Construct the dragon shield from Gorod Krovi
- Donate points to a massive buyable ending, and see how many you can get before you die (or win! if you do win post a screenshot to the discussion board, we can get a leaderboard going)

Making a map in one month by yourself is really hard, and this has honestly been a death march. I'm aware there are lots of cracks in the seams (quite literally, in some areas of the map...) and I wasn't able to make everything I had planned on (R.I.P secret government base under the mountain, that would've been cool...) but I am still proud of what I've made in a month. Feel free to report bugs and share criticism in the comments or discussion boards but please be nice :)
