It's an underused weapon because it requires 23 ARC, but shows D scaling, so people don't want to invest ARC for it.
Turns out it only scales slightly less on ARC than it does on STR. There's a quirk with weapons that scale one stat into two damage types (physical and magic, in this case) where it shows the scaling being much lower than it is, because it's being split. It is quite competitive with other Greatswords in builds where STR and ARC approach their softcaps.
I recommend the following:
Hero (will be at least 3 levels ahead of the next best class for this build)
40-60 VGR (40 should be minimum before leveling damage, 60 is required at high level)
8-28 FAI (depending on what Incantations, if any, one wants to use)
12-30 END (to preference/required weight)
24-55 STR
23-51 ARC
Dump MND for FP, since the build is based on Ash spam
