How to play the Sturmtruppe

Perhaps one of the hardest to unlock characters within this game, also known as Day of Defeat: Origins, is the German "Sturmtruppe".
While this class is mostly similair to the support class, it possesses a significant difference: more speed but less health. It also only has one grenade compared to the supports four however does have the significant advantage of using the Mauser-C78 rather than the standard Walther PPK, dealing more damage at the cost of having a lock on hopw fast you can fire.

Unlocking the class
The class is actually fairly easy to unlock. First go to the the Köln map. Upon arrival, head to the small sausage store found by the Allied spawn where you will have to shoot the sign's W six times with a single Kar98K clip. You will afterwards hear a jingle, which has been identified as being Sandra's "Maria Magdalena", and unlock the class. He will apear under the Support's "sub-class" menu and will have to be equipped before joining a game.

Gameplay
Playing the class can be extremely fun and rewarding as you basically become a speed demon.

Upon spawning in, you will want to loose as much weight as possible so you should drop both of your grenades (G+Left mouse click) (preferably in spawn as to give them to your teammates). This will allow you to run 121x faster than the standard soldier, giving you a massive advantage. You become comparable to "Team Fortrees 2's" Medic in speed (the games's fastest class) which means you will be almost invulnerable to any damage, especially if you have a high ping.

Lasty, in order to make proper use of your weapons you should try getting close to the enemy. the StG44 is still just the supports StG44 and thusly great and basically any range expect 5 miles across the universe. The revolver is also incredibly good at close range, boasting such a satisfying animation and sound design.

The classes melee (the standard shovel) also becomes basically useless as you are far too fast to ever hit anything.

Of note is that sneaking and proning makes significantly more noisy due to sound being bound to how fast you are going.
