Introduction
In order to be able to repeate this route, you need to understand some basic movement mechanics
Super dash
If you dash horizontally and right after jump, you will get horizontal boost
→ + jump
Hyper dash
To make hyper you dash horizontally and down. You have less upward momentum than with a super, but you fly horizontally much faster and farther
↘ + jump
Extended hyper/super
If you wait a couple of frames after dash, you will regain dash while keeping your velocity

Extended super
→ + wait + jump

Extended hyper
↘ + wait + jump
Wavedash
It's the same as extended hyper, but your vertical position is higher
in the air + ↘ + wait + jump
Reverse super/hyper/wave
Also you can dash in opposite direction while holding movement in the right direction and still get absolutely the same result. Works with super, hyper or wavedash

Reverse wavedash
in the air + ↙ + wait + jump(while holding movement to the right)
Wallbounce
Just dash up along the wall and jump to bounce off wall. The later you jump, the higher you'll bounce
↑ + wait + jump
Regrab
You can throw jellyfish and regrab it with dash. You will get a massive boost
grab + (jump if needed) + ungrab + wait a couple of frames + ↗ + grab
Cornerboost
Jump horizontally to the top edge of the block, hold grab and press jump while holding movement when you collide with it.
→ + grab + jump
Demodash (crouch dash)
Bind crouch dash in the settings. Some of the kill colliders have textures much bigger then their hitboxes. When you in crouch position, Madeline's hitbox about 2 times smaller (from 9 to 4 pixels). So you can jump through some obstacles.
jump + crouch dash often in a pixel perfect moment
Spikejump
In order to execute this I highly recommend to bind 2nd jump button.
Spikes can't kill you if you move in opposite direction. You can kinda wallbounce of the wall even if there's spikes. You just need to press 2nd jump right after collision with the edge
jump + collision + ↑ if needed + 2nd jump
Ultra dash
This is pretty hard compared to other dashes. So you can dash ↘ at the edge of the block, jump right after landing and dash ↘ after about 5 frames. If 2nd dash is too early - you'll bounce really weird on the next platform. Less airtime = more speed. So you want to dash as early as possible in most cases. If jump too early it will be counted as extended hyper. Ultra will give you abnormal velocity boost if used properly.
↘ + wait + jump + 5 frames + ↘ and repeat

Chained ultras
Chaining ultras will make you zoooop.

Double block ultra
And even more if you ultra from moving block

Kevin hyper b-hop
Also, speedrunners usually do some trick on this kevin block in reflection. This is not ultra, but uses simmilar mechanic of keeping momentum as ultra from moving block. If you short hyper + immediate jump (just bunnyhop) on kevin, Madeline's momentum increases 1st time from kevin, 2nd from hyper, 3rd from b-hop and 4th time from kevin. Just 2 jumps and you'll fly
And finally, fun part
Using this obiously non-tas speedrun, you can point every mechanic above on the video and try it yourself!

Thats...
Thats illegal
Stop that
what am I even doing here Jun 30, 2023 @ 9:19am
idk you missed the part where you play strawberry jam's Superluminary to learn the superdash mechanic fully, so you can do ultras that start with an upwards diagonal with ease

also you should teach them spinner stunning to make the route easier (maybe), though it doesn't matter since you go that fast anyway

Yeah, this guy just started learning. I think it's possible to optimize it to sub 1 min. :celeste_strawberry:

Just beat it in two minutes, obviously not TAS, that guy made so many mistakes...
