General Notes

• When starting out, you will only be able to buy basic black, bay or chestnut(including flaxen) horses from the 'wild' AH tier (this is different to wild horses). Each addition tier (common, rare & legendary) can be unlocked by progressing through the story and completing the relevant quests
  
• Horses will spawn with one of 4 different mane/tail lengths. You can cut them short, but given time they will grow back to full length
  
• Coats can have various additional white face and leg markings. These markings can be hidden if the horse is already white in those areas (but may still transfer when breeding)
  
• Patterns can be applied over any colour
  
• Silver (white mane + tail) can be applied over any colour (except chestnut)
  
• Flaxen (cream mane + tail) can be applied over any chestnut coat
  
• Colours vary greatly depending on the time of day, season & ambient lighting. I have images of each coat colour both outdoors and inside the stable to provide a better overview of the changes.
  
• The game does not have realistic genetics when breeding horses

Breeding: Pattern [Pintaloosa]

These can be acquired by breeding an appaloosa with a tobiano.

Breeding: Pattern [Tovero]

These can be acquired by breeding an overo with a tobiano.

Wild: Overlay [Dapple]

Dapple coats can be found on wild horses in the Rocky Mountains.

It is an overlay that can mix with any base colour/combine with any other patterns
It comes in 5 different strengths: Minimum, Light, Medium, Strong & Maximum
It is white tinted on black and chestnut based coats, but more yellow tinted on bays.

Obviously there is a huge amount of combinations, so I will just show a few of them!

@Kiligami The coat does change the price of a horse. I don't have numbers for it but a cream appaloosa will sell for more than say, a plain chestnut (stats and races won matter more though).

One suggestion would be to break them up by which are bays/blacks/chestnuts, so people who dont know can see which base color dun/creams to breed for the mix they want <3

@ SpookySushi I wasn't planning on adding the face markings (as there's a tonne of them and its hard to get good matching images as many do not show from the side view). I'd suggest joining the discord and installing the Horse Editor Tool if you wanted to easily browse through them yourself.
