How to fix PopCap Games Framework games not saving upon exit. [Windows Vista+]

This guide will hopefully help you be able to save your progress in PopCap games if you're using Windows Vista and up. I am not too sure how widespread this issue is, but if I'm able to help at least one person with this fix I'll be happy. I haven't seen another guide addressing this issue and because PopCap games basically doesn't exist anymore and EA are always sitting on both of their fists at all times I'm not seeing a developer issued fix in the future. Please note that I have only tested the Peggle games and the Zuma games, but I believe this will work on most if not all games that work on the PopCap Games Framework engine.

Step 1

Access your Steam installation folder by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam (or wherever your Steam installation is located) find the file called "Steam.dll" and copy to clipboard.

Step 2

In the Steam application right-click the PopCap games game and select properties.

Step 3

After selecting "Properties..." on Steam click "Browse..."

Step 4

After clicking from Steam "Browse..." your directory of your game with pop up with all the files. Go ahead and right-click Peggle.exe (in my case PeggleNights.exe), and select properties from the drop down menu.

Step 5

After clicking Properties from the Windows drop down menu click on the "Compatibility" tab and check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator", and then click "OK" to save changes.

Step 6 (optional)

This step is more of a demonstration why Step 1 was important. After you select your game to "Run as administrator" and click "PLAY" on your game through Steam (note from this point on Windows UAC will pop up because administrator is enabled, just click "Yes") You will get this error message:

While you are still in your game directory go ahead and paste "Steam.dll" (assuming it's still copied to your clipboard from Step 1)

By the time you reach this step your game directory should look like this:
You can now launch PopCap Games with you being able to save your games without progress being lost. I realize how unnecessarily convoluted I made this guide, I just want to make sure it makes sense for any non computer savvy people out there. TL;DR

Copy and paste "Steam.dll" found in your Steam directory into your PopCap Games game folder and launch it will elevated permissions.
