RMS Queen Elizabeth 2

Here is the RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2 as she is usually called) of Cunard Line.

She was completed in 1968, and was launched by Queen Elizabeth II. Despite her name, she wasn't named after the monarch since the ship used the Arabic numeral "2" instead of the Roman numeral "II", she was instead named in honor of the first RMS Queen Elizabeth. In 1974, she briefly held the title of largest passenger ship in service until the SS France was recommissioned as the SS Norway. In 1982, she saw service as a troopship during the Falklands War before returning to passenger service in August that year. It was thought QE2 would be the last ocean liner until 1995 when Cunard Line announced the construction of RMS Queen Mary 2. Queen Mary 2 took the title of Cunard's flagship from QE2, and in 2008, she was finally retired from service. QE2 can still be seen today as a hotel and museum ship in Mina Rashid, Dubai. QE2 currently holds the record for the longest serving ship of Cunard Line.
