Beginner's Guide to Sunrust Zombie Survival

A very simple guide that allows new players to learn what the game is about and how to play it! Veteran player's may also find useful information or even learn something they didn't know before.

Welcome to Zombie Survival!

Sunrust ZS (Zombie Survival) is a gamemode that showcases human's indomitable will against impossible odds! You play as a human where you much survive against an onslaught of increasingly difficult zombies that have 1 goal in mind, killing you. You will use a variety of weaponary including bombs, guns, and knifes to keep the jombies back until you can escape to safety. There will be blue crystals known as sigils which you protect as they are the gateway to safety, these will be protected by you and your teammates using props which will be nailed down to halt the zombies advance.

Sunrust, A Warm Welcome

Outside of the gameplay (which is very fun!) the server and the people you will meet on it are quite possibly the best part.You will always be welcomed on the server.
The server is very accepting too, whatever you are. Everyone is welcome!!!

If you are ever confused, just ask out in chat. The people on the server will ready to help you at anytime!

Finally, you will meet all sorts of characters. If you ever just some place to go to meet new people or have deep and genuine conversation, look no place further than Sunrust!

First Time Into ZS

You are now excited after seeing all that, so you want to play. You run to your nearest thrift shop to buy a laptop and boot up Gmod. You look in the Zombie Survival servers to find Sunrust and then you join. You'll be greeted with a screen that looks similar to this.
What do you do now? That is very simple! Buy yourself a gun and some ammo. Make your way to the gun tab and you will find a large selection of guns to choose from. While you can choose any gun you want I would personally recommend the Peashooter pistol. While it's stats may seem kinda bad, don't be fooled. It is a gun that uses half ammo AND gives an extra point per kill!!! You will be sure to dominate the scoreboard with that gun in your hands!
Now if you are curious on if you should buy a melee weapon for when the zombies get up close and personal, don't bother. You spawn with not only your gun (which should be Peashooter), but also your fists which allow you to fend off the zombies with your bare knuckles.

Now you are Armed

What next? Well you'll want to take your starting weapon you purchased (which should for sure be the Peashooter pistol) and make your way over to a sigil. Once the waves start you'll go looking for the nearest zombie spawn which is marked by a green skull and will be a big cloud of green smoke looking something like this. Once you find it, you'll shoot at those zombies that are leaving their spawn. Make them regret the day they chose to mess with you! Now you must make sure you remain alert to not die, for there will be many challenges that arise. An example of this would be a "Greater Evil" which are slightly more difficult that average zombies. They may be big and scary but be sure you show them who is boss! When they spawn you will see an alert such as this. Now you may also see something else. The "Nydus Worm". This is a special event where it will change zombie spawn and force them to come out of the worm. The best way to counter this is to break it, quickly! The best way to break it is to not waste your ammo, as that is best used against zombies. You should pull your fists out and begin punching it till it goes away. It will look something like this.

You are Going Beastmode

You survived the first wave!!!! Congratulation!!! What next? Well you should have a mountain of points from your starting weapon (assuming you chose the Peashooter). What should I do with it? You will find a special sort of crystal somewhere in the map known as the Banished Sigil. It sells extremely overpowered items and ammo at cheap prices! What you should do is look for it and spend all your points there, as it is worth it and there is no consequences to purchasing from it. The shop you should buy from will look like this. A small preview of the shop so you know what to look for.You will notice a tab called trinkets, they add some sort of buff to you or your guns. All the banished trinkets are very strong and you should buy all of them. Don't worry either about taking too long to decide what to get, you are protected from attacks while looking around the shop!

Special Events

You may find that when wave ends a special blue icon appears somewhere on your screen. This is known as the rift. The rift is a way to get free ammo or other special rewards. When the wave ends all the zombies get teleported away so you should quickly make your way before it's too late. When the wave ends run outside the barricade and look for the rift that should look like this. ALWAYS go for rift, it is free ammo and there is no reason to not go for it. Do not be like this person and be too scared to get your free ammo!

You Are Now a Pro

CONGRATS!!!! You made it to end of this guide (which is subject to change later depending on what people have to add on it). You are now prepared to kill those zombies and find a victory royale. Good luck and good hunting!
