This is a 100% comprehensive walkthrough of all 41 achievements for new players and will cover everything about this game in details from the basic, walkthrough, and step by step. I hope achievements you miss can be replicated by such from this guide.

We will go two playthroughs for this game. Original and Adventure which will be explained later.

All collectables, endings, speedrun and miscellaneous, I will try my best to make it better for you to follow. Check the checklist when I mention a [crewmember for example] collectable in-text due to how much text I can write but the limit is there.

You can save as many times as you want, no notes will be erased as long as you read them then save. Keep track of the number of notes you have and when in doubt check my checklist which shows all three collectables such as notes, memory, and crewmember cards. As the amount you only need 80 out of 115 notes to collect from you can miss maybe 10-15 notes and still get the rest for the achievement.

Numerous miscellaneous are present and such you might load in your previous save and do that.

As always my guide will be in order of such chapters.

Stoic will be earned when you do not succumb to fear as the resist fear prompt appears do not wait even though you can reload save just do not die. Another thing is you can reload saves to get the few other endings either Provider or Iconoclast to trigger the Stoic achievement. You should not die more than 4 times. I forgot that I died one time but I keep going and so after that I have to save and exit at the safest area then exit if I got killed, try loading the previous save if you mess up.

When you 'die', a flashback of you being a ghoul can be seen and you wake up later so you want to avoid that during your first playthrough.

It's suggested that even when papers are not stored inside your journal (refer to The Desert Path), although it is not there you must interact with them just to be safe than sorry such as the photographs, writings etc.

While after communicating to the doctor on radio. You must now be aware at this point of enemy encounters. Make sure to not die here because you need the Stoic but if you are about to die or for the second time just quit and reload or continue. Also do not forget about the last key item at the wooden door before the enemy appears that is for the shell.


The Fortress Courtyard revisit I:

You are ready to another area after firing the tank with your shell after all notes collected (you can revisit places like the inner Fort but one enemy can be waiting at the exit of it (up to #57).

You need 80 out of 115 or so. It seem that the crew member notes and the cylinders also count.

Once you are done with the hub, go to the right before moving forward to the tent and enter the next area.


The Chamber of Pillars:
There is one ghoul but it's no big deal. A room with a pillar puzzle and few collectables.


The Portal Chamber revisit I:

After all the troubles and going through (not a sweat), you must go back with the second leyden jar you got. Go to the exit of this level.


The Portal Chamber revisit II:

Nothing much other than passing through more ghouls and collecting notes. After all that, just run like a crackhead and try to keep Stoic safe to get before you leave.


The Portal Chamber revisit III:
Now you got all 2 leyden jars you can use it on the portal but the Shadow will try to stop you while rotating the mechanism for the portal. Also there is a ghoul so jump right.

The Theater:
This is straightforward, only one note but everything else is otherwise.


The Laboratory:

Moving on to finding more memory cylinders and few notes. After finding more memory cylinders and notes, move on and bring the connector. Watch out for the enemy who will damage you so you have to struggle so you can bring it.

After that, go back with the connector and everything. I think this should not affect the ending of the game but this is missable so save at this point and reload.

The two achievements will appear on the next chapter since it always pop-ups every story-related achievements. After doing all of the collectings and puzzles, just run to the shuttle.

The Factory:

To beat this 100%, we can speedrun the game in any modes in less than 2 hours 20 minutes, I prefer you doing this in Adventure mode because it counts fortunately and as always there is no enemies present most of the time except for the boss but we need to do this quick really had no idea why the devs forgot to add the timer for this speedrun I will assume the speedrun timer starts when we begin our first introductory cutscene after new game. There are videos showing how you can beat it glitch or not which we won't rely on and that is up to you but there is one area which is a must to glitch skip (Alchemist's Chambers). I will provide some examples you can use by someone. Also no glitches is used here I had messed up many times.

Achievement #40: If you're doing this in Adventure mode, here is the difference of obstacles.
- Deeper Caverns
- Inner Fort

They are not that bad so you just do some few things to progress which won't change the whole story at all these are where I experience things such as moving rock from Deeper Caverns, and draining the water from the Cistern.

The Leyden jar skip in the Alchemist Chambers works wonders still to this day so you skip the puzzles and most of Portal Chambers area. Even the ending is scripted so you can put what you have but make sure to have one left in your inventory before the Portal Chamber level finished.

To note:
- You can save and exit then reload the game if you mess up which I did not bother so just try your best not to mess up just to test this I may had few embarassing stops so you can be faster than me (assuming my time I beaten since I forgot to record is 2 hours close to the mentioned time).
- Puzzles/obstacles blocking your path that were not in the original mode.
- There were some enemy encounters even inside the Cistern and Factory but mostly I was able to run without any problems.

Conclusion:
Where do I begin... The story is average and the scares do not make me feel dreaded as well. However, I do find some reference a welcome addition such as the Dark Descent notes related to it. Since it's built in an upgraded engine it is better to play also but the game do not feel scary like I said but it's fine. Speedrun on adventure is a breeze so like every modern games this does not feel that bad.

Overall, having this at the lower price made me finish this game without regrets.

Prolivije Good addition to the guide but I will figure out how to add that and others but on the other hand if I add this Note #X to whatever on Act sections I might need to add much more so the guide will essentially be more sections and this takes much time hence the checklist section so yeah I'll plan to go back to this guide soon and fix the formattings on it like my other guides thank you for that I haven't planned on abandoning this when I have things to fix mostly.

Just need to add, for the Archivist achievement, you don't need all notes, you need 80 out of 115 or so. I didn't collect all yet got it. And for this achievement it seem that the crew member notes and the cylinders also count.
