Introduction

This is a guide that details how to acquire the Modder! achievement, which requires you to upload a workshop item, using easy-to-follow steps and images.

If there are any errors with my information, or you have new information to add, then leave a comment with proof of your claim (a screenshot or video) and I will eventually look into it.

Step 1

Choose to launch the Workshop Manager.

Step 2

Click on Create New Workshop Item.

Step 3

Click on Yes.

Step 4

Click on Ok. The Workshop Manager will automatically close.

Step 5

Follow Step 1 again but this time you will see your workshop item named CHANGE_ME. Click on Open F... (Folder). Your computer should open up the folder which contains your workshop item (as seen in Step 6).

Step 6

This step has a few different steps of its own:
  • Delete the preview.jpg file;
  • Find a JPG image that is a minimum of 100x100 pixels large and paste it into this folder; and
  • Rename the newly-pasted image to "preview.jpg".

Step 7

This step has a few different steps of its own:
  • Open the config.xml file with a text editor;
  • Change the title and description from CHANGE_ME to something that is a minimum of five characters long; and
  • Change the three tags from CHANGE_ME to something that is a minimum of three characters long.

Note: the owner user id will list your 17-digit Steam user ID. I've hidden mine which is why it says xyz. Do not change this otherwise the game will not be able to recognize your workshop item.

Step 8

Return to the Workshop Manager which should still be running. Click on Upload ... and you should get the achievement.

Note: if you re-launch the Workshop Manager then the name of your workshop item will be changed from CHANGE_ME to whatever you named it in config.xml. Otherwise, it should still be listed as it was when the Workshop Manager created it.

Conclusion

I decided to create this guide because I initially had no idea how to upload a workshop item using the game's integrated Workshop Manager and had to figure it out through trial-and-error. As such, hopefully this guide has helped you get this pointless achievement and if it did then feel free to like it, favorite it, or even give it an award!

Thanks for reading!
