I had to watch some japanese guy (I think?) on youtube who played maps on HARD without a HERO.
He must have spend way too much time with this game. I did use a hero anyways. Just wanted to 100% the game.
The achievements are easy, but for the last view maps on the right side on the map you might need a guide. Or you could spend hundreds of hours figuring it out, which I find no fun in.

I completed all camping maps in casual difficulty but I couldn't achieve great defender achievement. any idea? should I complete normal difficulty ?
