Arcade Champion
  • Get a high score of at least 300 in the Arcade minigame

There is no difficulty requirement - you can do this on Easy.

My recommended loadout: Black Hole + Laser Cannons
Black Hole has big AoE and will oneshot all the small crabs, while Laser Cannons have hige fire rate and benefit from Piercing Shot. You can also try Rocket Launcher, but won't benefit much of Piercing Shot.

Utilize free 255 Piercing Shot by staying on the ground and avoid jumping at all costs - bullets will fly just above the ground, pierce, and hit multiple enemies.

Do not try to avoid damage, this will not help you - enemies won't be able to kill you.

Focus all the crystals that constantly spawn on the area, especially explodey ring ones.
The more enemies you kill - the faster new will spawn, so kill everything you see ASAP.
Big Spender
  • Make 100 purchases at shops in a single run
Pick Economy chests. Stack Crystal Dividends, Paycheck, Tony's Black Card and Special Delivery.
Cursed Lottery can help too.
Challenger
  • Get a win on any difficulty with 5 or more difficulty modifiers active
  • Get a win on any difficulty with all difficulty modifiers active
  • Get a win on Nightmare difficulty with all difficulty modifiers active

Go to Difficulty Totem, select all the challenges and win a run with them.
Game is way easier in co-op and will increase chances of victory.

I suggest you to turn all of them on at once, since you probably won't get much experience or knowledge trying them one by one.
About modifiers:

Random Islands - not a challenge, but rather a buff. You can visit Tony's Shop, play Horde and Elite fights more often. That's just win-win, no downsides.
Regenerating Enemies - regeneration start time for Champion enemies is 2.25 seconds after taking damage and Elites / Bosses have 3.0 seconds after taking damage. Just make sure to deal some damage to once in 2-3 seconds.
Locked Slots - you can win a run without unlocking all slots. As always, prioritize Economy Chests.
Buffed Enemies - the only noteworthy buff is Shield. Melee enemy once to remove shield. Be careful with exploding enemies like Pufferfish.
Manual Collection - crystals expire in 10 seconds. Run close to them to pick up. Dash above enemies if crystals are guarded, pick Stamina to make it easier.
Double Challenge - usually nothing scary. If you are unsure - pick another portal without challenges.
Resurrecting Enemies - these enemies will have lower HP after resurrection. AoE damage can kill them before they even spawn.
Evolved Enemies - Elite Barrel Skull, Laser Crab, Minigun Crab, Homing Grub. These won't spawn every Island. You might encounter 5-10 of them in the whole run. Nothing scary.
Unfair Bosses - double bosses. May spawn different enemies. I suggest avoiding elite fights up to Island 10 unless you already have good damage. For Island 30 that mod means double keys dropped.
Eternal Punishment - similar to Damage Seeker Greed perk. Nothing scary. Might want to buy couple hearts to mitigate debuff effect.
Volatile Explosions - you might want to increase melee range to remove shields from exploding enemies and negate this debuff.
No Safety Net - no one-shot protection. The most difficult mod you'll have to get used to. Nothing to add. Train your dodge skill and avoid damage at all costs. Otherwise you can try and prioritize Armor upgrades.
Crab Champion I, II, III
  • Get a win on any difficulty
  • Get a win on Nightmare difficulty
  • Get 5 wins total on Nightmare difficulty
Pick a weapon, sharpen your claws and kill enemies until victorious.
If you are familiar with similar games, you could start with Nightmare difficulty from the very first run.
For 3rd one, you are not required to win 5 times in a row. However, there is separate achievement for it (Master).
Crab Legend
  • Complete all challenges
Do I need to add anything?
Diamond, Ruby etc.
  • Rich Diamond (Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Gold, Silver) account rank

For Diamond, you'll need to make 1+ loop victory on True Nightmare with all weapons.
Check Weapon Master section for general perk tips and some weapon tips.

If you only need Emerald, or something lower - you can complete Diamond on most guns and leave some with Bronze - you'll only need to reach total account score, not the Emerald score on each separate weapon. Only Diamond requires you to play on every single weapon.
EZ
  • Defeat a boss in under 10 seconds
If you struggle to do this on 1st boss - loop and stack even more damage by picking Critical, Damage and Spiked chests.
Flawless
  • Get a win on Normal difficulty without taking any damage
You need to kill boss on Island 30 without taking any damage (to armor included). Use your favourite weapon, dodge and don't panic. Can be done in co-op.
Anything that breaks your combo will count as damage, including DoTs (becoming frozen from freezing ground doesn't count because it doesn't deal damage).
Normal difficulty only. You won't get achievement by doing that on Nightmare or Easy, confirmed by fellow players.

Do not use Spiked Chests, Chance Totems, Loot Totems and Crystal Totems - they reduce your effective HP.
Be careful with Greed Totems - they can give you items, that deal damage and brick your run.
Only Gold Totem is safe to use since it reduces your Max HP.

Utilize game saves - they occur every 1st island of the biome (Island 1, 9, 17 and 24).
If you take damage - return to lobby, choose "Continue" and you will resume your last saved gamed. That way you can have checkpoints at the start of every biome.
Flex I
  • Defeat an elite without taking any damage
You will encounter your first elite enemy at Island 10. Kill it without taking any damage during the fight.
Can be done in co-op. (dodge while your teammate kills it)
Flex II
  • Defeat a boss without taking any damage
You will encounter your first boss enemy at Island 30. Kill it without taking any damage during the fight.
Can be done in co-op. (dodge while your teammate kills it)
Flex III
  • Clear the first biome on Nightmare difficulty without taking any damage
You need to reach Island 11 without taky any damage on Nightmare. Use your favourite weapon, dodge and don't panic. Can be done in co-op.
Anything that breaks your combo will count as damage, including DoTs (becoming frozen from freezing ground doesn't count because it doesn't deal damage).

Frugal
  • Get a win on Normal difficulty with 5 or less shop purchases
Purchase 4 or less items from Tony, kill the boss, end the run.
Rerolling Tony's shop doesn't count as purchase.
Spend your crystals on Gamble Totems - they do not count as purchases.
Greedy
  • Defeat a boss with at least 5 greed perks in your inventory
Greed Totems are pretty rare. I suggest going full Economy and reroll Tony's shop until you purchase enough perks.
Cursed Lottery, Glass Cannon, Damage Seeker, Brute Force and Up The Ante are your best picks. To workaround 1 max health use Regenerating Armor. Insane damage from greed perks + endless armor plates will carry you through anything.
Gunslinger
  • Get a win with all weapons in the game
Kill boss on Island 30 and end the run. Do this with every weapon.
Playing on Nightmare will also give you Weapon Master I and II achievements.
Holdout Champion
  • Get a high score of at least 50 in the Holdout minigame

There is no difficulty requirement - you can do this on Easy.

My recommended loadout: Black Hole + Rocket Launcher or Black Hole + Sniper Rifle.
The idea is to constantly strafe and jump on outer circle of arena while focusing the most dangerous enemies - Skulls, Homing Grubs, Starfishes, etc., basically anything with big AoE or fast projectiles. Ignore the small crabs - just run away from them.
Use Black Hole for crowd control, stunning big targets.

If you have issues with hitting flying monsters with Rocket Launcher - aim below them at their shadow.
Looper
  • Get a win after looping at least once
Upon killing boss on Island 30 pick "Loop" option to play another 30 islands. Then reach Island 60 and finish the run.
Marathon
  • Survive until island 100
Upon killing boss pick "Loop" option to play another 30 islands. Play until you reach Island 100.
Can be done on any difficulty, shouldn't require any assistance.
Maxed Out
  • Fill all mod and perk slots in your inventory during a single run
You need to fill all your weapon, grenade and perk slots with items. Rarity doesn't matter
If you have issues finding that many grenade perks - loop couple more times and pick legendary grenade mods.
Easier to do in co-op, especially if one of you specializes on grenades.
Millionaire
  • Get a win with over 1M unspent crystals in your inventory
Pretty hard to complete in 30 Islands. Stack Bonus Crystals. On late islands enemies will drop thousands of crystals. Can be easily done together with Marathon achievement.
Playing With Power
  • Level up a mod or perk to level 20 in a single run
Some chests have way lower pool of possible items than other, e.g. Skill chests almost always give Big Mag.
Will probably complete itself during Marathon achievement.
Big Chests and Level Up can help you with it too.
Pro, Master
  • Get 2 wins in a row on Nightmare difficulty
  • Get 5 wins in a row on Nightmare difficulty
I suggest you completing all Weapon Master challenges before this one in order to find your favourite weapon.
Play with your favourite weapon. Do not ignore healing chests, unless you already oneshot everything/have enough recovery.
Game is way easier in co-op and will increase chances of victory.

Utilize game saves - they occur every 1st island of the biome (Island 1, 9, 17 and 24).
If you take damage - return to lobby, choose "Continue" and you will resume your last saved gamed. That way you can have checkpoints at the start of every biome.
Recycler
  • Salvage 100 pickups in a single run
Salvage 100 items for crystals. Hearts and armor plates count too.
Stack Faulty Chests with Big Chests to get some extra loot and salvage it. Also you may stack lots of economy upgrades, purchase stuff from Tony and immediately scrap it.
Care Package, Double Vision and Perfomance Bonus will increase the number of chests spawned and may help too.
Roller
  • Reroll shops 50 times in a single run
Same as Big Spender achievement. Pick Economy chests. Stack Crystal Dividends, Paycheck, Bonus Crystals.
Skilled
  • Get 3 wins in a row on any difficulty
Play on Easy with you favourite weapon if you have troubles with this one.
Slice And Dice
  • Get a win without firing your weapon
You can use melee and grenades to clear islands.
Go to Settings > Controls and change your "Fire" binding to save yourself from accidentally breaking the run.
Stack Blender + Sharp Claws + Big Claws, hold melee and watch everything die.
Solid Gold
  • Fill 20 weapon mod slots with legendary weapon mods
Important! Make sure you have all Weapon Mods unlock via Key Totem. You won't be able to get the achievemnt until you unlock all the mods.

Only weapon mods count - do not attempt stacking grenades and perks, these won't count.
Can be done after looping several times. Going Economy and rerolling Tony's shop will help.
Take Streamer Loot, Faulty Chests, Big Chests and Performance Bonus can yield you several mods per boss.
Speedrun I, II, III
  • Clear island 20 in 16 minutes or less
  • Clear island 50 in 40 minutes or less
  • Clear island 100 in 70 minutes or less
Aiming for 3rd Speedrun will most likely give you I and II. Play on Easy difficulty.
I suggest you completing all Weapon Master challenges before this one in order to find your favourite weapon, as well as learn best perks for it.
If you'll manage to get Shockwave from Key Totem, it will drastically speed up you first islands for Speedrun I, since reloading will instakill low level enemies.
Personally, I did with Minigun + Sharp Shot + Homing Shot + Juiced.
Tank
  • Get 10000 max health on a single run
Stack Fortitude and Big Hearts, purchase all hearts. Can be easily completed together with Big Spender.
Avoid totems that gamble on your health, if you don't want to risk it. Avoid Greed totems too, since there is high chance to recieve perk, that grants 90-99% maximum HP debuff (it will affect future heart pickups lowering HP boost).
Ultra Damage
  • Deal over 100K damage in a single shot
Just stack damage and crit items.
Will complete itself on long runs (30+ islands) unless you are playing with Flamethrower only.
Unstoppable
  • Get a win with over 7500 eliminations
Loop and kill enemies until you score 7500 kills. You still need to end the run by winning afterwards.
Co-op increases enemy spawn, but I suggest you doing it solo.
Greed perks Up The Ante, Rising Star and Juggernaut will speed up this process.

You can check you kill count in top left corner, beneath crystals.
Vandal
  • Destroy 25 totems in a single run
To destroy a totem you need to use it until it explodes. Sturdy Totems item won't help you - do not use it while aiming for this achievement.
Be careful - Glass Totems can be destroyed by shooting at them and won't yield loot if destroyed this way. Fuse Totems detonate themselves, so don't way too long if you see them.
Tony's Totem counts too.
Weapon Master I, II
  • Get a win with the *weapon name* on any difficulty
  • Get a win with the *weapon name* on Nightmare difficulty
Pick weapon, and complete a run to get the achievement.
Winning on Nightmare difficulty will give both Master I and Master II achievements.

If you don't like the weapon - you may focus on grenade or melee mods. Also you can ask someone to help you score a win in co-op.
My prefered skill - Ice Blast for crowd control.

General tips for perks:
Sharp Shot is very usefull for any low damage guns. It will add more flat damage, than any other mod for Minigun, Flamethrower, Lightning Staff and Laser Cannons.
Either stack Random Shot or 1-2 specific elements. Don't try to collect each separately.
I personally go for either Poison Shot for single-target DPS or Ice Shot for crowd control.
Arc Shot + Split Shot is OP. x28 damage multiplier for most guns, especially fun for Rocket Launcher and Sniper Rifles - this combo shines on these weapons.
Heavy Shot, Grip Tape and Accelerating Shot almost always are not worth it.
Spiral Shot tends to break any weapon when stacked with other mods. If you notice that your bullets/rockets do weird things, fly back to you, do not deal damage - try throwing out Spiral Shot.
When playing in co-op, you can share Big Chests, Coral Amulet and Streamer Loot before opening chests. It appears that Faulty Chests can't be shared that way.
Reinforced and Big Hearts can be shared before armor and health pick ups respectively.

Do not forget to use Key Totem before starting new run.

General tips for weapons:
  • Auto Rifle
Generic weapon. Slap anything on it and it will work.
However, making it a DPS weapon instead of proc machine will be easier.

  • Dual Shotguns
Close range weapon. Stack damage and mobility. Reload Arc is fitting too.
Trick Shot is free damage. Avoid Steady Shot - it won't work.
Take reload speed instead of clip size.
If you have issues with weapon range - use Fast Shot. It will increase effective range by increasing bullet speed.
When offered additional projectiles - prioritize Split Shot, since you already start with multiple projectiles to split.

  • Dual Pistols
Generic weapon. Slap anything on it and it will work.
Trick Shot is free damage. Avoid Steady Shot - it won't work.

  • Auto Shotgun
Has better range than Dual Shotguns and can aim.
Slap anything on it and it will work.
When offered additional projectiles - prioritize Split Shot, since you already start with multiple projectiles to split.

  • Burst Pistol
Take everything you can for grenades to ignore this weapon. Throw grenades until you win.
Or get some overpowered combo like Sharp Shot + Arc Shot + Bouncing Shot + Juiced.
Blind Fire is free damage, since weapon has no spread. Grip Tape is useless for the same reason.

  • Sniper
Highest per shot damage. Has built-in Piercing Shot.
Stack anything chance-based, because it will have higher proc chance.
Never take Sharp Shot - it will give you miserable damage increase.
Blind Fire will not work when scoped, but will affect spread unscoped.
I suggest avoiding pattern changing mods like Zig Zag Shot - you will lose sniper precision and miss a lot.
Poison Shot will not work on it unless you stack tons of poison effect or Fire Rate - it will wear off faster than you'll make next shot.

  • Crossbow
Built-in Arc Shot and Piercing Shot, no need to take it.
Blind Fire and Recoil Shot are free damage - debuffs are barely noticeable.
When offered additional projectiles - prioritize Split Shot, since you already start with multiple projectiles to split.
Grip Tape does nothing, since weapon has no spread and barely noticeable recoil.

  • Orb Launcher
Works similar to Auto Rifle, more or less. Slap anything on it and it will work.
Note that Big Shot is bugged - it will only increase visual size of the orb. The hitbox won't change.

  • Rocket Launcher
Stack anything chance-based, because it will have higher proc chance.
Recoil Shot, Blind Fire and Big Shot are free damage - debuffs are barely noticeable.
Avoid Bouncing Shot - rockets won't explode upon hitting terrain.
Never take Sharp Shot - it will give you miserable damage increase.
Grip Tape does nothing, since weapon has no spread and barely noticeable recoil.

  • Minigun
Highest fire rate.
Stack Sharp Shot+Mag Shot+Big Mag for insane damage.
Lowest proc rate, but high fire rate will compensate that, so stacking proc mods like Dagger Arc, Mace Shot, Piercing Wave will give you more damage, than Blind Fire, Zig Zag Shot, Damage Shot etc.

  • Blade Launcher
Orbiting Shot. That's it.

But if you still need more info - Built-in Piercing Shot.
Can hit same enemy more than once. Likes Bouncing Shot and Sharp Shot.
If doing Orbiting Shot memes - prioritize Bouncing Shot to make projectiles last longer. If you hate yourself - take some BigShot too. Additional projectiles will orbit around too, so they are still priority.

  • Cluster Launcher
Aura Shot + Glue Shot is a good combo for this gun.
Above average proc rate, could utilize it and stack different elemental types since each grenade rolls chance separately, for example stack both shock and poison up until 50% proc chance.
When offered additional projectiles - prioritize Split Shot, since you already start with multiple projectiles to split.

  • Flamethrower
One of the best weapons out there, insane proc machine, boss melter.
Avoid anything that gives weapon damage, and rather stack even more procs like Dagger Arc, Mace Shot, Piercing Wave, etc.
Oil Can is mandatory since enemies will always burn.
Light Shot is free fire rate if you are doing proc machine instead of direct damage.
Doesn't work well with Ice Blast skill.

  • Arcane Wand
Treat it more or less like Rocket Launcher. It has lower alpha, but built-in Arcane Shot.
More projectiles = more fun.

  • Laser Cannons
High fire rate.
Stack Sharp Shot+Mag Shot+Big Mag.
Lowest proc rate, but high fire rate will compensate that, so stacking proc mods like Dagger Arc, Mace Shot, Piercing Wave will give you more damage, than Blind Fire, Zig Zag Shot, Damage Shot etc.
Trick Shot is free damage. Avoid Steady Shot - it won't work.

  • Seagle
It feels for me like a smaller Sniper Rifle with x0.25 damage and x4 Fire Rate.
It has the same issue with pattern changing mods. I suggest avoiding mods like Zig Zag Shot - you will lose that sniper precision and miss a lot.
Never take Sharp Shot - it will give you miserable damage increase.

  • Marksman Rifle
Feels great both in close and long range. Probably the most versatile weapon in the game, even when compared to Auto Rifle.
When offered additional projectiles - prioritize Split Shot, since you already start with multiple projectiles to split.
Weapon Master I, II pt2
  • Ice Staff
Never take Spiral Shot - projectiles won't touch the ground and fly back in the sky.
Never take Bouncing Shot too - projectiles won't explode touching the ground and lower your DPS.
Boomerang Shot is free damage, since projectiles are unable to return to you.

I suggest pairing it with Black Hole ability - it will be easier to hit enemies.

  • Lightning Staff
Stacking SharpShot and projectile count mods will be easier that trying to make it a proc-machine due to lowish rate of fire.
Bouncing Shot and Fast Shot are priority if you want to increase weapon range.
If you ever find Ammo Ring - make sure to take it. This way you can fly and avoid all melee combat by dashing mid air > automatic reload > keep shooting to fly > dash and so on.
Closing Notes
There are several achievements, that are pretty impossible to complete without looping several times.
If you are aiming to complete one of them, I suggest you doing them all together, since you will be close to their completion.
Have a todo list:
    General
  • Survive until island 100
  • Get 10000 max health on a single run
  • Get a win with over 7500 eliminations
    Shop related
  • Make 100 purchases at shops in a single run
  • Reroll shops 50 times in a single run
  • Get a win with over 1M unspent crystals in your inventory
  • Destroy 25 totems in a single run
  • Salvage 100 pickups in a single run
    Weapon related
  • Fill 20 weapon mod slots with legendary weapon mods
  • Level up a mod or perk to level 20 in a single run
  • Fill all mod and perk slots in your inventory during a single run
  • Defeat a boss with at least 5 greed perks in your inventory

I hope it helps!

@mitri double check you are playing on Normal diffuculty.
Could be just bugged, game is really huge for only 1 developer - happens

for some reason frugal wont pop for me, literally sounds like one of the easiest ones to do and ive been doing it all day and it refuses to pop, ive tried buying just one thing in the whole run, not buying anything at all, buying 4,3,2, 5 etc and NOTHING will work. i dont get it

I'll update the guide with tips on new weapons as soon as I play around with them on release version.
big deechie grape Sep 1, 2024 @ 12:12am
more achievements added g. basically just win with X ability on any difficulty and a win on nightmare

I recommend trying the Blade Launcher and Ice Blast for Holdout. The Blade Launcher SHREDS bosses and crowds, and the ice holds non-bosses in place for a moment and lets you focus down more dangerous targets and has a 6-second cooldown over the black hole's 10.

Did the Arcane Wand ever get buffed or reworked? Because while it still feels like possibly the worst start of any weapon I've tried so far, it only took one perk (Triple Shot from the key totem) for me to realize just how busted it could be. For one reason: Its base scaling is ridiculous. It hits 100% on Triple Shot in two levels, Split Shot in three, and it also has comically high base damage scaling for its fire rate and mag size. Weapon takes a fat L if you ever take Bouncing Shot (for the same reason as Rocket Launcher) and otherwise sucks if your run doesn't provide any early power spikes like a % damage boost or a random roll of Triple/Split/etc, but if you do get even one of them it just snowballs into a full auto rocket launcher.

I have no idea if it was just way worse when it was launched and got buffed into the stratosphere, or if you were sleeping on it, but it's completely insane with a few damage chests.

@BlindGuyMcSqzy I'd say you best bet is going to Crab Chamions discord server and report a bug. I've also read similar reprts about weapon mastery achievements.

Does anyone else have problems getting any achievements? I should've gotten almost all of the achievements at this point in time, I have almost 26 hours and yet I don't have a lot of the basic ones like Crab Champion 1, Looper, plus many many others that I've dedicated entire runs for. But for some reason I don't get the achievements. Anyone have solutions? ;-;
