On an existing game, run World Fairs until you have enough Gold Tickets to buy a couple Bruno Ironbrights from the Grand Gallery on the Title Page.
Create a new game using the Guides settings EXCEPT for Victory Conditions... instead of population, set it to "250,000" cash.
On Game Start, "Call Paloma" from your Harbor. She'll drop off Brunos in a minute or so. Pack them up on a ship and send it south. Sell to Archie. Instant win. No building needed, no population.
One thing, ignore where this guide says to keep it at farmers, this is why it took him 90 minutes instead of only 30. Upgrade to workers asap = should be easy if you have 5-6 each of fish, wool, and clothing. Workers have 3x the population
Wash, rinse repeat the wood/city blueprint dropping as wood production permits. Archie is still in the southern corner, get to him and buy wood, iron and bricks from him
If you are still struggling, hit the Call Paloma button, summon your Grand Gallery specialists (you DO have some right?) and sell them to Archie for quick profit. =)
