Step 1 - DOWNLOAD THE FILES
Open your browser, and navigate to:

https://gamebanana.com/sounds/50534

Scroll down the page, then download the .zip file for each season you want to modify, in the mod's download section.

Step 2 - ORGANIZATION
Place the newly downloaded .zip somewhere that you can easily access it for the rest of this guide.

I recommend a temporary folder on your desktop.

Step 3 - EXTRACTION
Extract the .zip file into this location. You should end up with the following files:
- An "Archives" folder, containing 5 or 6 ".ttarch2" files (one for each episode).
- A matching set of "_resdesc.lua" files
- An "INSTALL-INSTRUCTIONS.txt" file.

You can safely delete the "INSTALL-INSTRUCTIONS.txt" file if you intend to continue using this guide, along with the original .zip file.

As long as you end up with a single "Archives" folder containing the mod files, you're good to move on.

Step 4 - PREPARE THE INSTALL
Leaving the files we just downloaded for now, let's go and get our game folder ready.

Navigate to the install location of your copy of the game.

If you own the game on Steam, you can jump straight to this location by right-clicking on the game and selecting properties...

...then clicking on "LOCAL FILES" in the left section and then finally clicking on "Browse...".

If you own the GOG version, you can find this same location by right-clicking on your game shortcut and navigating manually to the location listed under "Target".

Note: I don't own the game on GOG, so this is an unrelated game choice to demonstrate this :-).

If you're in the correct location, you should see an "Archives" folder located in the same place as either "SamMax100.exe" or "SamMax200.exe:" depending on which season you are currently installing the mod to.

Step 5 - INSTALLATION
In a separate explorer window, browse to wherever you left our modded files in Step 3.

Drag the modded "Archives" folder into an empty spot in the game's root folder. It will then merge automatically with the game's version of the "Archives" folder.

Step 6 - LAUNCH AND TEST!
If you did all of the above correctly, you should now hear the original Bosco audio whenever talking with Bosco in-game, along with matching subtitles!

If for some reason it didn't work, simply delete the files you just installed and try again.

If you bizarrely prefer the original theme tune (or you're just nostalgic for it) try out my classic theme restoration mod (currently only for Season One):

Worked like a charm! Shame the quality is still locked in mid-2000s mode, but I loved Bosco's voice in the OGs and was so sad to see him changed and it's more than worth the bit of scuff to have him back. :millafp:

For anyone curious, it actually took 18 months for Benjamoose to get around to typing it all up!

For anyone curious, I actually have no issue with the new voice/voice actor!

I just want to make options available to people so that more people buy the remasters.
