Mod Credits
Out of respect for the many mod authors who have contributed the Darktide Modding scene, PLEASE sign-up at Nexus Mods and downloads and/or endorse each of the mods included in this pack to ensure that authors receive accolades. Doing so will also get you used to using Nexus for tracking mods and being able to update on your own.

Darktide Mod Loader
Recent changes in Google Drive security limits the ability to include .exe and .bat files within archives uploaded to Google Drive, which affects the Darktide Mod Loader[www.nexusmods.com] package. As a result, you will need to manually download this file from Nexus Mods. installing it first and then installing this mod pack.

who have not all necessarily given permission for their work to be redistributed, the instructions for this mod require you to download mods individually through Nexus. It's the right right thing to do. By downloading mods through Nexus you are also providing tracked downloads to the mod author and the opportunity for providing your endorsements and feedback.

PLEASE SEE THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS BELOW FOR THE INSATALL PROCESS TO STAYING UP TO DATE
install & Update Process

Installation Process

The installation process requires a few, fairly straight forward steps:

STEP #1: Download the Darktide Mod Loader[www.nexusmods.com] package from Nexus Mods

STEP #2: Extract (unzip) the Darktide Mod Loader package to your Darktide folder.
  • Darktide is typically located at: X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\
  • Unzipping will add several folders to your game files, including a mods folder, binaries folder, and tools folder.
  • In the root of your Darktide game folder you should see a "toggle_darktide_mods.bat" file.

STEP #3: Download the Mez Mod Pack - CORE (see link above for latest version)

STEP #4: Unzip the Mez Mod Pack zip file into your Darktide folder
  • Same location as above
  • Unzipping will add many sub-folders int your "mods" folder.
  • Say YES to overwriting any files. In particular, the "mod_load_order.txt" within the mod folder will overwrite the version from the Darktide Mod Loader.

STEP #5: Run the "toggle_darktide_mods.bat" file located in your Darktide folder
  • This file modifies your Darktide.exe (executable) file to enable mods.
  • This file is located in your root Darktide folder (i.e. not inside any subfolders)
  • Accept the windows warnings (yes, this file is verified and safe)
  • IMPORTANT!! Whenever Darktide is officially patched, you will need to re-run this .bat file to re-enable mods.
  • If you experience any problems and want to disable all mods, running this .bat file again will disable mods completely.

STEP #6: Load the game as you normally do!

STEP #7: Press F4 to configure mods in-game
  • Can enable/disable mods from within the Mod Options menu (access from the main menu or press F4 by default)

Mod Pack Update Process

To update the mod pack after performing a full installation:
  1. Download the latest Mez's Mod Pack CORE file (from the links above).
  2. Extract the downloaded mod files to your Darktide mods folder and overwrite any files when prompted. This will not overwrite your mod settings (those are saved in your user config file).
  3. If the base game was patched, be sure to run the "toggle_darktide_mods.bat" again.

"Disabled by Default" Mods
Note that the following mods included in this pack are "disabled by default" in the mod_load_order.txt file. These mods are disabled primarily because they require more tweaking and configuration on the user's part to get them working optimally. So for those that just want to jump into using the mod pack without too much fuss I've disabled the following:
  • Health Bars
  • Extended Weapon Customization
  • More Characters and Loadouts
  • Show Crit Chance
  • Crosshair Hud (requires a lot of painstaking configuration)
  • Ovenproof_scoreboard_plugin (requires reconfiguring normal scoreboard to make space for the new additions)
  • Inventory2D (requires some fine-tuning and I don't want the change to shock people!)
  • buy_until_rating (can cause players to burn through resources if not aware its active)
  • Clean Force Blocking (don't want to catch people off guard)

If you would like to ENABLE any of the above mods, go to your Darktide mod folder and open the mod_load_order.txt. You will mods that are disabled have a double-dash (" -- ") in front of their name. Remove these double-dashed and the mod will be enabled.

Mod Pack Contents

This section of the guide describes all the mods included in the Mod Pack and a quick summary of the mod and why's worth having in the pack. In some cases, I've given configuration recommendations. Overall, this selection of mods captures all of the most popular Quality of Life along with a few other noteworthy selections.

Links to the source of each individual mod are provided. Please give the modders some love/endorsements directly!

Base Mods

The mods below enable mods to be used in Darktide and/or are supporting mods that provide expanded mod framework functionality that other mods may be dependent on. All of these these are included for improved functionality and future-proofing.

Darktide Mod Loader[www.nexusmods.com]
This, along with the Darktide Mod Framework (below) are the two core file sets that enable mods to work.

Darktide Mod Framework (DMF)[www.nexusmods.com]
The other essential file set to enable use of mods.

Master Items Community Patch[www.nexusmods.com]
Resource mod shared by other mods.

settings_extension[www.nexusmods.com]
Provides additional functionality to inject settings options into the game.

ui_extension[www.nexusmods.com] (currently disabled in mod pack - not required)
Allows new UI elements from other mods to be added into the game.

More Graphic Options[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds additional graphic settings to the game, specifically allowing you to lower / disable certain graphic effects to further improve performance.

animation_events[www.nexusmods.com]
Allows for certain animations (e.g. window pop ups and displays) to modified by mods.

What the Localization[www.nexusmods.com]
Framework mod to support expanded localization features for in-game text. Basically allows the mod community to fix broken text in-game.[/i]

View showing the mod options menu in-game and Hub Hot Key mod as an example of settings.

- Combat UI & HUD

Mods related to the user interface (UI) during a mission and relevant to combat.

NumericUI[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds additional, configurable, and detailed information to the combat Hud. Most notable, provides exact count and/or %-based count of ammo held by your teammates, timers on your ult ability, dodge counters, and more. Essential QoL mod!

Healthbars[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds health bars that can be enabled/disabled individually for each specific type of enemy.
Recommended Settings: I only use health bars for mutants, maulers and ogryns (bullwarks, crushers, reapers) to keep the visual clutter manageable. The health bars on other enemy types are less critical.

crosshair_hud[www.nexusmods.com] (Disabled by Default)
Adds simple coherency indicators and health/toughness displays near your crosshair. The position of these can be adjusted.
NOTE: I've disabled this mod be default in the mod load order file. You'll need to manually turn it on if you want to use it. The reason is that it requires quite a bit of tinkering to get it setup, and the default settings are pretty obtrusive. Still a good mod.

custom_hud[www.nexusmods.com]
Allows you to resize and reposition elements of the HUD. Hit F3 (by default) to enable configuration mode. Useful for putting key information closer and centered in your view (e.g. buff status icons)

crosshair_remap (continued)[www.nexusmods.com]
Allows you to adjust cross-hair styles on a per-weapon basis and when hip firing or aiming down the sights.
Recommended Settings: I've mainly used to this to add a simple "dot" to the center of my view when using weapons with iron sights. Helps aiming immensely given the iron sights are not well-centered.

Outline Colors[www.nexusmods.com]
Allows you to adjust the color of various outlines (e.g. player outlines, tagged enemies, volley fire highlighted enemies, etc). Can also adjust the priority of highlighting and which takes precedence.

player_outlines[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds the ability configure how other players are highlighted during missions.
Recommended Settings: I disable the normal "hologram" effect and enable permanent outline (glowing outline). Makes it much easier to identify your teammates during crowded fights as it is always visible.

PingMonitor[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a ping display when you press TAB to view mission information.

Dynamic Crosshair[www.nexusmods.com]
Crosshair adjusts according to your perspective. Allows proper aiming if using the Perspectives mod to enable 3rd person view.

volleyfiretimer[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a simple timer to volley fire (this ability doesn't show in the buff status bar in the normal game!). Very handy to tell how much time you have left to proc another reset.

Peril Gauge[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a better (IMHO) Peril Gauge that is highly configurable as well. Retains the same basic numeric design as the default interface but adds a visual bar that be configured as well to make the whole thing easier to see in the heat of combat.

Show Crit Chance[www.nexusmods.com]
Simple mod (disabled by default) that shows a live crit chance widget on your hud.

Numeric UI provides more in-game detail, including ammo %, health/toughness, and dodge counters. Also shown are True level indicator of players, and configurable crosshair HUD elements.

View showing 1st person mod (option) in Hub and player outline styles.
- Utilities & Tools

These are mods that add additional gameplay features and tools to the game.

Extended Weapon Customization[www.nexusmods.com] (Disabled by Default)
This mod provides an incredible overhaul to weapons by allowing you to modify the look and certain functions of weapons through a new interfaced accessed through a new tab in the weapon cosmetic menu (i.e. where you apply skins and trinkets). Disabled by default since the default mod settings are a bit jarring if you aren't ready for it!

Ovenproof's Scoreboard Plugin[www.nexusmods.com] (Disabled by Default)
Provides much better organized and detailed breakdown of damage, kills, crits, and other metrics compared to the default scoreboard. Requires disabling most of the rows of the default scoreboard in order to make space for the new items.

scoreboard[www.nexusmods.com]
This adds a fairly comprehensive and configurable scoreboard to the game, viewable after the mission or pressing TAB during the mission. Also has options for additional kill feed details and notifications, such as when teammates pickup certain items, deploy gear, etc.
Recommended Settings: The mod includes an overall “score” and “sub score” calculation that is a large and cluttered looking, not to mention ambiguous in how it works. I disable the score calculation to keep the score board looking much cleaner. Makes it easier to read.

Scoreboard Tag Counter[www.nexusmods.com]
Plug-in adds a line to the scoreboard mod for tracking how many times each player tags an enemy.

creature_spawner[www.nexusmods.com]
This mod allows you to spawn and enable AI on any combination of enemies of your choosing in the test chamber. This is great for testing out equipment and defensive abilities in a live practice environmet.
Recommended Settings: To get started with testing, DISABLE enemy respawn (which will prevent the normal enemies from spawning in the test chamber) and ENABLE Enemy AI. I bind the left/right arrows keys to cycle through enemies and the up arrow key to spawn an enemy, and down arrow to clear all enemies. It's probably also worth binding keys to adding health and toughness (bindings are all in the mod's settings menu).

bot_spawner[www.nexusmods.com]
Allows you to spawn bots in the practice chamber. This is a nice compliment to creature_spawner as you'll be able to test teammate abilities, coherency effects, etc.

- Hotkeys & Controls
Darktide was missing (IMHO) a lot of basic hotkeys and control options in the game. The mods below expands on control and input functionality in many aspects of the game.

Full Auto[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds the ability to fire semi-fire / burst weapons at their max fire rate by holding down the attack button instead of having to spam attack. A configurable hotkey allows you toggle between fire modes.

TagKeys[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds option to bind hotkeys for directly selecting comm wheel items (e.g. "Need Healing!"). It's a lot quicker than fussing around with the social wheel.
Recommended Settings: H = Need Health, T = Tag location
Note - if binding tag wheel keys to to normal letter keys, the For The Emperor mod above does NOT work as well, because the that mod triggers the keys even when typing in chat.

Multiple Keybinds[www.nexusmods.com]
Mod allows you to bind multiple keys to the same in-game function, integrated into the main keybinding menu options.

hub_hotkey_menus[www.nexusmods.com]
Add configurable hotkeys for accessing shops/mission board/etc in the hub without having to run all over the hub (boring!) to do basic stuff.
Recommended Settings: Requires setting up your key bindings in mod options. Try this: V = basic shop vendor, C = Crafting Shop (Hadron), K = Melks Shop, P = Psykanarium Test Chamber, M = Mission Terminal.

ShowEquippedInLobby[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds option to toggle between viewing ranged or melee weapons for all players while waiting in the lobby. Useful for seeing others’ loadouts and adjusting yours accordingly.

Tap2Dodge[www.nexusmods.com]
Vermintide 2 had this. What happened in Darktide? Adds the option to enable vermintide-style double tap sidestep/backwards to dodge in that direction.

ForTheEmperor[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds additional options to the tag wheel (yes/no and "For the Emperor!" war cries). All of the new and old tag wheel options can ALSO be bound to dedicated keyboard buttons! Exceptionally nice!
Note - Patch #13 added this to the tag wheel, but NOT as a hotkey button. Go figure. So this mod still has some utility.

Show Equipped in Lobby allows you to toggle between showing ranged and melee weapons.
- Quality of Life: In-Mission

These mods add Quality of Life (QoL) improvements to the in-mission experience. Includes more minor HUD/UI improvements that typically need less configuration.

Guarenteed Special Action[www.nexusmods.com]
Mod improves handling special action button/use to make its use more reliable.

Guarenteed Weapon Swap[www.nexusmods.com]
Mod improves handling of weapon swap input requests to make weapon swaps more reliable.

Guarenteed Ability Activation[www.nexusmods.com]
Mod improves handling of class ability / ultimate input requests to make triggering your ult more reliable.

Clean Force Blocking[www.nexusmods.com] (Disabled by Default)
Allows you to disable and/or control the display conditions of the Force Sword blocking effect. Disabled by default because I don't want to catch players off-guard!

Stimms Pickup Icon[www.nexusmods.com]
Mod enhances the pickup icon you see in the HUD for Stimms, color-coding them to match the stimm color and also color-izing the icon in your HUD once you've picked up a stim.

Recolor Stimms[www.nexusmods.com]
Let's you change the color of stimms around if desired.

Collectable Finder[www.nexusmods.com] (Replaces Book Finder)
Did you know that books emit a slight sound effect when you are close? I have a REALLY hard time noticing this sound alert. This mod adds a configurable visual message indicator when the sound effect is played so that you can more easily locate books. This version of the mod also provides an indicator for Martyr's Skulls and Heretical Idols.

ChatBlock[www.nexusmods.com]
Makes it so that you auto-block during missions when you open the chat window, options menu, etc. Literal life saver.

SpectatorHUD[www.nexusmods.com]
Preserves HUD information (eg player health/status, notifications, Mildred, etc) while in spectator mode (i.e. when you're waiting to be revived). It's nice being able to follow what the heck is happening!

Ration Pack[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a small floating indicator above deployed ammo crates displaying the remaining ammo refill charges left on the crate. Hugely useful for better ammo management. This mod also enhances the visual radius effect of health packs, making it easier to tell where the boundary of the healing aura is.

DisableScreenEffects[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a range of options to disable various screen effects (blood effects, blurs, peril, etc) in case any of those are causing discomfort for you.

Look Around[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a configurable hotkey to look around (pan camera angle) without moving your model. When used with the Perspective mod (included in this pack) you can orbit and view your model from whatever angle you want.

Perspectives[www.nexusmods.com]
Allows you to swap into 3rd person view during missions and/or into first person view in the hub. It's not the most effective actually fighting in 3rd person, but it's nice for snapping photos during the mission. I also like staying in first person in the hub!

pickup_notif_tweaker[www.nexusmods.com]
Removes (or allows you to configure) the huge crafting material pickups indicators that got added to the right side of the HUD in an official patch.
Recommended Settings: i suggest fully disabling these using this mod. The scoreboard mod add options to put pickup indicators in the killdeer notification area.

Show Insignia[www.nexusmods.com]
Shows players' insignias next to their portraits during missions.

Many mods add features to the in-mission overlay screen, including ping monitor, scoreboard, and weekly contract tracking.
- Quality of Life: Crafting & Inventory

These Quality of Life mods pertain to improvements to the crafting system, menu navigation, and inventory management.

Retain Selection[www.nexusmods.com]
Fixes a bug in inventory menus restoring functionality for the inventory display to properly jump to the currently selected item when navigating between menus.

Red Weapons At Home[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a customizable color option that displays items at maximum rating as "Red" weapons (ala VT2). Makes it easy to tell what your maxed weapons are!

My Favorites[www.nexusmods.com]
Revised to integrate with the new official "favorites" feature. Allows you to recolor favorites tag and setup multiple different tags.

Mark Preview[www.nexusmods.com]
Shows additional weapon information when selecting marks to allow for easier comparison/identification of mark options.

Go To Mastery[www.nexusmods.com]
Expands menu options and adds hotkeys in your inventory for view weapon cosmetics, marks, details and jump to crafting (replaced Direct to Hadron mod), jump to sacrifice, and jump to mastery.

Filter Sacrifice[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a toggleable filter in the Sacrifice menu to only show weapons from the same family as those selected to boost mastery.

Quick Look Card[www.nexusmods.com] (Disabled by Default)
Provides additional weapon details on the inventory cards, including base rating / stat totals, blessing icons, perks, and stat distributions. Fully configurable. Disabled by default since it takes a bit of fiddling to get configured to your liking. Also doesn't play well with Inventory2D (also disabled by default).

More Characters and Loadouts[www.nexusmods.com] (Disabled by Default)
This mod allows you to add up 8 character slots (allowing for two of each!) and up to 12 loadout slots per character. IMPORTANT - If this mod is removed your additional characters beyond the default limit of 5 are NOT removed from your account. However, you won't be able to make new characters until you first delete down below the normal limit of five.

Show me Real Weapon Stats[www.nexusmods.com]
Modifies the weapon stat bars and detailed stat attributes so that "80%" is displayed and described as the max stat. Makes stat comparisons to the "max" a bit easier.

Equiped Icon Plus[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a more visible icon to your currently equipped items and also displayed an icon for items equipped in other build configuration slots. Colors of icons can be customized.

Inventory2D[www.nexusmods.com] (Disabled by Default)
Allows you to display inventory items as 2x or 3x grid of cards rather than a single column list. Requires some configuration to arrange to taste.
NOTE: Disabled by default as of Update 16-02 due to crashing associated changing the item sorting mode in the craft menu (Hadron). You can use this mod fine otherwise, so long as you set your desired crafting sorting method first and then enable this mod.

Buy Until Rating[www.nexusmods.com](Disabled by Default)
Allows you to batch buy items from Brunts armory that meet a configurable base rating target and auto-sell those items that don't meet a specified threshold.
NOTE: Disabled by default in mod_load_order.txt - don't want to surprise players and cause them to lose money.

ItemSorting[www.nexusmods.com]
Expands and remembers sorting options for item lists in your inventory and vendor shops. Sorting by Blessing Category (Grouped by Mark) is pretty excellent for more easily managing items IMHO.

BetterMelk[www.nexusmods.com]
Tweak to Melks shop that automatically gives you the completion bonus and contract progress without having the actually open his shop window. In the normal game, it's possible to not get the completion bonus if you logout after a mission without first going to his shop!

Nothing New[www.nexusmods.com]
This mod provides tools to clear out and remove broken or stuck "new items" indicators in your inventory (the yellow glowing dots). Thank god. Why hasn't this been officially fixed yet?!

Inventory Hider[www.nexusmods.com]
Allows you yo set a keybinding to hide your inventory screen. This allows you to take clean screenshots of your character - if so inclined!
- Quality of Life: Misc. Interface
These mods make other general improvements to the game and interface.

Penances Improved[www.nexusmods.com]
Shows more detail for penance rewards, recently completed penances, etc.

Inspect from Party Finder[www.nexusmods.com]
Allows you to access the inspect character button to look at other player's loadouts from within the party finder interface.

Show Current Penance Stats[www.nexusmods.com]
Shows the current progress on certain penances rather than the maximum achieved stat (for example Auric storm survivor, Flawless execution, Untouchable operative).

Mission Brief[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds some mission briefing information to the dropship loading screen.

Archivum Messelina[www.nexusmods.com]
Simple mods that adds a few filter options for penances in the penance interface to make it easier to find penances. Expands the number of tracked slots as well.

View Premium Character Cosmetics[www.nexusmods.com]
This mod expands the cosmetic inventory to also show you ALL potentially available premium cosmetics and even jump directly to the store if they're available for purchase.

View Locked Weapon Cosmetics[www.nexusmods.com]
In your inventory when viewing weapon cosmetics, this will let you see all potentially available cosmetics, including premium skins. You can't of course use these skins without acquiring them first.

How Did I Get That[www.nexusmods.com]
Expands details in the inventory for how you acquire/acquired cosmetic items. Ties in to details on specific penances and the task needed to unlock the cosmetic.

Commodore's Vestures Improved[www.nexusmods.com]
Expands options for previewing items, bundles, and individual bundle items on your characters. Also lets you view items on your actual character for other classes (not just the one you have equipped).

Penances for the Mission[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds an option to the mission selection screen that let's you see penances tied to each available mission.

Loadout Names[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a small text box below the loadouts on the character screens where you can provide a custom loadout name.

Merged Talent Stats[www.nexusmods.com]
Simplifies the "Full Build" list in the talent tree by combining individual nodes into a single aggregate line.

Inspect from Social[www.nexusmods.com]
Lets you click on characters from the social menu and directly access their loadout view.

AFK[www.nexusmods.com]
Resets the idle check 10 times (up from the default of 3) so you can be away from keyboard (afk) longer before getting booted out of the game.

Share Talents[www.nexusmods.com]
This is a very cool mod :) It lets you use the new "View Operative" feature in the base game to look at other player's talent tree and "copy" their talent tree with a button and then go to your own talent tree and "paste" the copied tree into place. Let's you share builds with your teams or steal them from random strangers.

Enhanced Descriptions - Blessings & Talents[www.nexusmods.com]
This mod is two mod elements (ENLocalizationFIXBlessings & ENLocalizationFIXTalents) which vastly improves the in-game descriptions of blessings and talent effects, fixing many errors, omissions, and misleading descriptions. Even includes some extra "tooltip" like terms in the descriptions to help clarify mechanics. Amazingly useful.[/i]

Talent Tree UX Improvements [www.nexusmods.com] (formerly Refund Talents Below)
This makes the Talent Tree easier to modify by allowing you to deselect any talent and immediately have it clear all the talents below it at once. You can also double click on talents to switch between branches (provide you meet the prerequisites). Makes it so much easier to adjust talent builds.

Smaller Talent Tree[www.nexusmods.com]
This mod allows you scale the vertical spacing of the new Talent trees. Can even make it fix on one screen for easier navigation.

Reorder Characters[www.nexusmods.com]
Reorder characters in the select menu (use W & S keys)

Prefer Auric Missions[www.nexusmods.com]
Mod allows you to set the default (or remember the last) mission screen you had up in the mission menu (either Auric or normal missions)

True Level[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds configurable options for displaying character levels above the max of 30. Great for being able to see how much experience other players have with a given character. Replicates a feature from Vermintide 2!

who_are_you[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds player's steam names after their character name so you can find them in social menu easier. Can be configured a few different ways based on what names you want to show up.

bugfix_loc_markers[www.nexusmods.com]
"Go Here" location markers correctly match player colors. A no brainer.

sorted_mission_grid[www.nexusmods.com]
Better organizes the mission grid. Missions are grouped by difficulty and further by low/high intensity. Makes it less annoying to parse the mission board.

LogMeIn[www.nexusmods.com]
Bypasses all the logon splash screens. Has options for automatically loading your last character into the hub and skipping the character select screen as well.

Psykanium Default Difficulty[www.nexusmods.com]
Allows you to specify a default difficulty for the practice chamber and other options for quickly getting into the test chamber.

psych_ward[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds ability from character select screen to enter shops and the test chamber directly. This is awesome for checking shops, because you don't need to fully load into the Mourningstar on each character in order to check their shops!

Many additions to the character select screen. You can now check all shops/vendors from the character screen and avoid having to load into the Hub on each individual character!

Mission grid is organized for better usability.
Managing Mods & Troubleshooting

This section provides some basic How-To information for those looking to manually manage aspects of their mod installtation.

How-To Disable/Enable Individual Mods from Loading
If you're having a problem with the game crashing and you think might be mod related, you can disable individual mods by doing the following:
  1. Browse to your mods (e.g. located here: X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\mods) and open the mod_load_order.txt
  2. Locate the line listing the mod you want to disable
  3. At the start of the line, comment out the mod by adding two dashes (i.e. " -- " without the quotes) to the start of the line.
  4. Save the file and launch the game as normal. The mod should be disabled.

How-To Manually Install or Update Mods
If you want to manually install a mod you've downloaded on your own or update a mod outside of this pack, perform the following:
  1. Download your desired mod and open the downloaded mods .zip file.
  2. Copy the folder inside the zip file into your mod folder (e.g. located here: X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\mods). If you are updating a mod, I'd recommend first deleting the original mod's folder in your game files and then copying in the new folder.
  3. If adding a new mod, open the mod_load_order.txt file and add the name of the mods folder to the load list. Mods are loaded in reverse order, so should generally be placed above the "base" mods listed at the end of the mod_load_order.txt file.
You can do similar steps to remove a mod. Remove the mod line from the mod_load_order.txt file and delete the mod's folder from your game files.

Resolving "Out of Memory" Crash Error

If you experience issues with the game crashing and reporting a "Out of Memory" error, it may be because the amount of memory allocated to Lua tasks is relatively low. But it can be increased!

Here's what you do:

(1) Navigate to your Darktide folder and the "Launcher" sub-folder. On steam, this may be located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\launcher

(2) Open the "Launcher.exe.config" file in notepad.

(3) There is a new block of code to insert. Look for the following block of code:

<setting name="DefaultResolutions" serializeAs="String"> <value>1280x768;1024x768;800x600</value> </setting>

Add a line space after the above block, and then PASTE IN the following code:

<setting name="ExeArgs" serializeAs="String"> <value>--bundle-dir ../bundle --ini settings --lua-heap-mb-size 2048</value> </setting>

This will increase the amount of virtual memory that can be allocated to Lua and should reduce or eliminate the out of memory errors.

Removed Mods

The following mods were included in a prior version of this pack, and have been removed as of the current version.

barter_with_hadron[www.nexusmods.com] - Broken and not updated
Adds the ability to sell items directly from Hadron's menu. Now you can quickly sell off all your bricked items. Yay!

Barter at Once [www.nexusmods.com] (Disabled by Default)
Allows you to tag multiple items in your inventory and delete them all at once.

Direct to Hadron[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds an button [SPACE by default] to the inventory menu allowing you to jump from a selected item to Hadron / the Crafting menu with that same item selected. Makes it easier to navigate between the two interfaces.[/i]

reveal_blessings[www.nexusmods.com]
Shows a full listing of the blessings in the crafting menu available to an item (instead of the unknown "?") and simply fades out the blessings you don't currently have. So much better!

Blessings of the Omnissiah[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds indicators to all weapon blessings in inventory/shops for blessings available to extract. While this is somewhat duplicative with the official patch changes to the same effect, this mod makes it easier to parse items at a glance AND it provides an distinct indicator (orange color) when you have a higher tier version of a blessing already extracted, which is super useful.

PsykaniumInvHotkey[www.nexusmods.com]
Adds a hotkey ("I") in the practice chamber to open inventory without having to run to the chest in the middle or open the main menu first.

PreviewCosmetics[www.nexusmods.com]
Fully shows YOUR CHARACTER as the base model when previewing normal and premium cosmetics in the shops. This is HUGE, especially for premium cosmetics, to see how things will actually look and check for conflicts with hair/face and and clipping issues.

CharWallets[www.nexusmods.com]
Shows resources and other details under each character during the select operative menu.

reroll_until_rarity[www.nexusmods.com]
Allows you to select a desired weapon or curio perk and tier level from the mod menu and then auto-roll at Hadron (refine crafting option) until the desired perk is rolled. Huge time saver and it goes very quickly! Just be mindful of your crafting material reserves.

- Added:
--- Buy Until Rating: Added by popular demand. This is disabled by default in the mod_load_order because the default settings could cause people to auto-purchase a bunch of items and burn their dockets!
--- Equipped Icon Plus: Makes the equipped item icon in your inventory more visible and also shows items equipped in other build slots.
--- Full Auto: Added by popular demand. Can be configured to taste.
--- Look Around: This can be used alongside the Perspective mod to be able to hold a key and pan around your character to take those money shots.
--- More Graphic Options: Replaces the old "graphic options" mod - works with the newer game version and expands settings.
--- Range Finder: Disabled in mod_load_order.txt by default since you need to configure it.

NOTE: I've updated the Crosshair_HUD mod to the latest version, but also disabled it by default in the mod_loard_order.txt file, since it may be causing issues for some users. You can manually re-enable it if desired. Note that this updated version includes a bunch of additional HUD widgets that you'll likely want/need to tweak to taste.

May 7, 2023 Update 002
Updated for compatibility with Patch #9. Following adjustments to the mod package have bee made:

Removed: PsykaniumInvHotkey (folder was in the package but mod wasn't active as its redundant with other mods in the pack)

DISABLED TEMPORARILY (via mod_load_order.txt): ui_extension
Disabled due to a conflict with official Patch #9. This does not seem to be causing any dependency issues in my testing.

Added mods:
  • Contracts Overlay - shows in the tab menu your active Melk contracts
  • Volley Fire Timer - adds a simple timer to volley fire (it doesn't show in the buff status bar in the normal game!)
  • Psych Ward - adds ability from character select screen to enter shops and the test chamber directly.
  • Dynamic Crosshair - allows you to aim properly in 3rd person (if you use the perspectives mod)

Mods Updatesd: Health bar, NumericUI, Scoreboard, reveal blessings, contracts overlay, who are you, perspectives, forthemperoer

You should replace Multiple Keybinds with https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40kdarktide/mods/337

@Nosseric No son you won't get banned, you'll be fine. The only time you get banned is when you make fun of liberal marxists in the Mourningstar public chat and they mass report you to the liberal marxist employees over at FatShark.
Mackintoke 5 de abr. às 17:28
I downloaded the updated file pack but every time I am on the Mourningstar and pause the game, open up the options menu, the game crashes shortly after. I might have to do a fresh install of the game, start a clean slate.
Nosseric 4 de abr. às 5:57
can u get banned for using any of these mods?

7. I find the thick blue outlines super distracting so I changed it to original but when players are downed I gave them a outline when vanilla does not have one I think.
ЯeÐ ĄnimaŁ ШaЯ 3 de abr. às 16:43
4. The "Full Auto" mod does not seem to work correctly. Is it even needed? Can I not just hold with vanilla for lasgun? The "enable auto fire by default" and the "remember for gun" setting do not work for me. I like to line single headshot up with lasgun and with the mod it defaults to a salve that makes the crosshair shake a lot and is not super accurate so I do not like it at all for the gun and its reenabled all the time so I disabled the mod. Same with plasma gun, because the gun has a delay to the gun auto fire does not fit the gun at all and its just annoying to have it fire multiple times by default.

5. I get crashes in various screens when trying to do things from the character selection like buffing weapons ... but I have no boiled it down to what screens exactly, seems rather random or depending on weapons.

6. The mod that lets you join games without even loading the bug works is my favorite mod and I do not even know which one does that.
ЯeÐ ĄnimaŁ ШaЯ 3 de abr. às 16:43
Thanks for the modpack. I want to give some feedback. Obviously you are not the author of all mods but ...

1. I find it a bit bloated, feels like it includes all the mods.

2. The "Log Me In" mod does not work for me. I have the intro disabled and it says "press space" and when I do it says "automattic char selection cancelled" it it supposed to select one for me after a time or something? There is no timer and the screen where I have to press space is endless.

3. The description says the ovenproof_scoreboard_plug with all the detailed info is disabled by default, it was not in my case and the scoreboard was way to big to fit the screen, I fixed it now with manual settings. But the screens to bring the history with scoreboards up always crashed. End screen work fine and since I slimmed it down I have not tried to go into the history again.

The pack down load has the mod load order file in it if you need to pull it out again. It's on the mods sub-folder.
Yukonaeus Cornelii Scipio 2 de abr. às 9:37
I accidently downloaded the "new" mod loader and lost my mod_loader_order file which is now blank from the "new" mod loader. Can anyone paste their order with all of the mods from the pack?
Mackintoke 2 de abr. às 9:05
Hey Mezmorki Darktide was updated a couple days ago. Is the mod pack updated now?
