Controls
Most of the obvious one are shown in the in-game control list, but there are also a few that aren't listed in-game.

Move: WASD
Jump: SPACE
Build: LMB
Remove: RMB
Select hotbar item: 0-9
Scale item: Mouse scroll
Curve item: Shift+scroll
Copy build scale and curvature: Middle mouse

All Building Blocks and Tools Explained
Good amount of blocks and tools are hidden within the inventory, press TAB and drag to hotbar to use them.

{ TOOLS }
Scanner
Save and load ship designs, more on ship saving explained below.

Pistol
A handgun, quick rate of fire.

Rifle
High accuracy, slow rate of fire.


{ BUILDING BLOCKS }
Beam
Thick structural block with varying length and curvature.

Wood
Thin structural block with varying length and curvature.

Joint
A connector between blocks, rotate using button, or manually by middle scroll, can be used in doors or stationary turrets.

Propeller
>Regular: small power output.

>Big: big power output.

>Huge: huge power output.

Controller
>Up: controls vertical movement of green axis propeller.

>Speed: controls forward-backward movement of blue axis propeller.

>Turn: controls left-right movement of red axis propeller.

Button
Activates object that it attaches to (Propeller, rotator, gatling, cannon).

Rotator
When activated with a button, continuously rotates anything attaches to it, can be used for doors and wings.

Gatling
When activated with a button, shoots rapid hail of bullets.

Cannon
When activated with a button, shoots an more powerful projectile with extra damage.

Shield
Protects a circular area around it from bullets. (currently will mess up ship save, only add if necessary)

Radar
Shoots a beam of blue light that points to the ground (most of the time)

Range finder
Shoots a beam of red light that points forward, if placed on top of a weapon such as the cannon it will fire when anything gets in front of the beam

COS
When interacted, ramps up the power of an object, then reverses it, usefull for doors/wings.
Airship Basics
A functional airship must consist of a main body, at least one propeller, and controller that dictates the speed of the propeller.


Main Body of an Airship
Any building blocks in the game could be used as the base of an airship. Under normal circumstance beam and wood is the most reliable choice for an airship's structure.


Beam and wood could be scaled in length by mouse scroll. place the block down by left-click, remove by right click. Block will auto-snap to other block when aimed at it.
For advanced shape, wood and beam could also be curved by shift+scroll.
Symmetry is automatically applied to all building blocks (except controllers) along the airship's red axis to maintain balance.


The first block acts as a base and will determine the airship's overall axis, which will be useful for symmetry and later propeller positioning. Attach a range finder to check which direction the ship is facing.


The axis lines also shows the center of gravity of the airship, which will change according to the placement and size of blocks.


Aim to keep the center of gravity as close to the red and blue axis' middle, this will provide the optimum balance for vertical flight. Center of gravity's position along the green axis determines how the ship will turn.
Center of Gravity
Something you should take in mind is the center of gravity, a white dot that appears once you build anything, the center of gravity can be used to give you foward momentum, however, it can also throw you offbalance.
- For Helicopters, you should want your center of gravity to be around the cockpit, but remember, if it's too front heavy, it will spin out of control, so keep it in mind.

- For Airships, you want your center of gravity to be exatly in the middle, as it will give you the most
control, however, it will reduce your forward speed.

- And for more experimental designs, you will mostly want to get the center of gravity on the center. however, for planes, sometimes depending on your design, the center of gravity being close to the cockpit can work.
Propeller and Controller
There are 3 types of propeller, "propeller", big propeller, and huge propeller, each corresponds with the output power.

The amount of blocks affect the performance of propellers. Numerous propeller could be installed to improve the overall flight capability.
Propeller's behavior changed based on which axis the propeller is facing, in which each is controlled by its own type of controller:

>Propeller facing green axis is controlled by the up controller, that move the ship vertically


>Propeller facing blue axis is controlled by the speed controller, that move the ship forward and backward.


>Propeller facing red axis is controlled by the turn controller, that move the ship left and right


Each propeller could be individually controlled with a button.
Saving and Importing Airship Design
Using the scanner tool, a ship could be easily saved and carried over to all future sessions. Quitting the game doesn't remove your save.

>Pull out the scanner.
>press "E" to bring up the text field.
>fill in the name of the airship.
>Right click on an airship or any valid object to save them.
>To spawn simply left click while the airship name is shown in the scanner's screen.


If multiple ship are saved under different name, pull up the text field and fill in the saved airship name, left clicking would spawn the appropriate ship, while right clicking on other object will overwrite the ship under that particular name.


All ships are saved as a .SHIP file inside
C:\Users\(Your PC name)\AppData\LocalLow\Landfall\Airships 2\SavedShips
Files could be backed-up, deleted, and renamed. Name of the file is used to spawn it inside the game.

Sharing is also possible, in fact here's the ships showcased above[drive.google.com]
Simply extract the contents into the directory above, and spawn using the name attached to the file.

Bug: saving a ship equipped with shield will mess up its axis once spawned (and you'll lose all of the shield installed to it), making further modification that relies on symmetry difficult.
Closing Statement
Making my first ever guide for the reason that "I've faced difficulties in finding guides about this game therefore I had to make one myself" type of deal. Shout out to @Lord of Ducks for his input in the community discussion, ain't gonna reach this far without ya.
