Overview
Learn step-by-step how to add your textures to apply custom patches to your operators easily.

Categories
It is important to note that each patch is assigned to a category using specific dimensions. There are three types of patches:

  • Square 1 patches placed on body jackets
  • Square 2 patches placed on headgear, bulletproof vests
  • Rectangular patches placed exclusively on body jackets.

Observe the examples.

Correct dimensions
To help you, here are examples of textures with the correct dimensions for each category. The white rectangle indicates the allowed area to place your texture. Each texture must use the following dimensions: 512*512px. You can download these examples to overlay them on your creations to have the textures with the correct dimensions.

Build base texture
Use the program of your choice and create a PNG texture (with transparency) in the 1:1 format with a resolution of 512*512px. Be careful to ensure that each texture does not extend beyond the white area used in the templates.

Build normal texture
Once the base texture is built, you need to create its "normal texture" to improve the final rendering in the game. You can use the excellent free program created by Christian Petry to quickly create a normal texture.

Recommended settings:
Strengh: 1
Level: 9
Blur/Sharp: 0

Correct names
In order for the game to correctly recognize your textures and the assigned category, you must name your textures very precisely. Here is the exact naming convention for your files by category.

Square 1:

Base texture: Patch_Square_1st_NAME.png
Normal texture: Patch_Square_1st_NAME_Normal.png

Square 2:

Base texture: Patch_Square_2nd_NAME.png
Normal texture: Patch_Square_2nd_NAME_Normal.png

Rectangle:

Base texture: Patch_Horizontal_NAME.png
Normal texture: Patch_Horizontal_NAME_Normal.png

The "Name" used must be exactly the same between the base texture and the normal texture.
Add in the game
Once you have created all your textures and named them correctly, you need to add them to a specific folder so that the game can find them and integrate them.

  • Add folder "Games" in "C:\
  • Add folder "BOBB" in "C:\Games\
  • Add folder "Patches" in "C:\Games\BOBB\"
  • Final result: C:\Games\BOBB\Patches
  • Add your textures in this folder
