RMS Carpathia

Here is the RMS Carpathia of Cunard Line!

She was built in 1903 for Cunard's Liverpool to Boston route, before being transferred to the Mediterranean route in 1904. Under the command of captain Arthur Rostron, RMS Carpathia gained her fame on April 15th, 1912, when she rescued more than 700 survivors from the RMS Titanic, which sank earlier that morning after striking an iceberg. Carpathia was one of the ships Titanic contacted that night, and Carpathia rushed to her position, but sadly couldn't make it in time before Titanic went fully under (she was about 4 hours away from Titanic when she started sinking). In WW1, Carpathia was used to transfer Canadian and American Expeditionary Forces to Europe. On July 17th, 1918, Carpathia was torpedoed 3 times by the submarine SM U-55 off the southern coast of Ireland, with the loss of 5 crew members. The survivors were rescued by the sloop HMS Snowdrop.
