[RoR] How to play RoR with Steam version

This guide was made to explain quickly how to play Return of Reckoning with the Steam Version of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.

How to play RoR on the Steam version of Warhammer Online

It's quite easy.

First, you need to install Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning before everything is done.

Second, you have two choices :

1. You download RoR through their way and then you replace the original files with RoR

2. You only download the launcher and let it replace the files for you
   http://launcher.returnofreckoning.com/RoRLauncher.exe

If the links don't work, just copy&paste the URLs in your web browser

Steps to follow (launcher only)

You need to have the launcher at the root of your WAR's Steam Folder, for example, in :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning

Then, you will need to redirect the original launcher since with Steam it will try to start the original "warpatch.exe". You could try to rename the "RoRLauncher.exe" into "warpatch.exe" (but I doubt it would works) or you can add a line in the Steam Launch Options :

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning\RoRLauncher.exe" %command%

To do that, right click on your installed game and do "Properties", then you should see "Launch Options" in the window. It needs to target your RoRLauncher in the folder of your Steam installation. You can close this window after you targeted the RoRLauncher and you can start the game on Steam.


The RoRLauncher will check your files first, then you are in for hours of downloading.
