Omnibus - Horse-Drawn 19th Century Bus

Deskripsi
The Horse-drawn omnibus was the first vehicle that we would consider a public bus - no prior booking was required, and passengers could request to be let on or off at any point. Apart from 1662-77, when a similar service was developed by Blaise Pascal in Paris, the first bus lines began in 1824 in Machester. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsebus for more details.)

This model is based off of George Shillibeer's first omnibus in London, although I made it slightly taller to make the proportions look a bit less odd. The horses themselves are from the horse-bay prop by niis-ku ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=531375563), who in turn got it from "the internet", with no source given.

Carries 20 passengers, all other stats are standard articulated bus stats.

Known Issues:
1. The horses are not animated. Not really feasible to get around this one, animated parts (besides wheels) aren't natively supported in Cities: Skylines.
2. The light cones aren't exactly connected to the actual headlamps. There seems to be a bug in Cities: Skylines where road vehicle trailers (where the headlamps are located) don't actually show their lights, despite having their locations set. So I put them on the horses and moved them back to line up with the trailer, but they'll float away during turns. If I made this all one vehicle it would work, but then you wouldn't get the trailer animation, so I chose to do it this way.

Hey Chappington, been enjoying Skraeligge on youtube for a while now. An artist I'm in a discord with would be interested in porting these models over to Transport Fever 2 if you'd be willing to share them; feel free to DM and I can put you in touch, or ask him to message/friend you here?

Interesting that you got the police car lights to go away and not the others. As far as I can tell, the sirens are set by the "color" texture: https://cslmodding.info/asset/vehicle/#color

Note on police, ambulance and fire: I just released the "Sheriff" asset, a man on horseback that replaces a police car. Using a mod I was able to remove the emergency lights from the "police car" but the ambulance and firetruck still have some underlying flashing light that alternates front/back, left/right on the model as it drives. I have an "ambulance" ready to release once I resolve this issue, but so far the solution is elusive. You will run into the same problem so let me know if you figure it out first!

Thanks m4gic!

leftcoastfunk - Thanks! So I have some plans to do vehicles that make sense with retexturing, but not significant remodeling. So I think a police van would definitely work, and an ambulance could be at least historically plausible. (From my initial research, they were a lot smaller initially, but as long as it looks semi-historical that's good enough for me.) Not so sure about a fire truck though, there would be a lot more equipment to model. With the looming release of CS2 and limited free time, I don't see that happening. (When CS2 is out though, it's a solid possibility.)

This is great, thank you! I'm using a few of your new assets :) May I ask if you have any plans for a fire truck or ambulance?
