1996 Daihatsu Midget II R-Type

The name "Midget" refers to Daihatsu's single-seater three-wheeled mini truck that saw production from 1957 to 1972. It is in 1996 the name was reused for a four-wheeled kei truck, often dubbed as the "driving billboard." The Midget II sports a 659cc 3-cylinder SOHC in compliance to Japan's kei car standards of 660cc maximum displacement, in addition of its outlandish body shape. The car comes in many variants, including the R-Type which features a covered spare wheel, a rear rollcage, and additional set of lights.
