Hey there! I just wanted to share with you how long it took me to create the guide that you just read. TLOU1 has a EXTREMELY long settings menu when compared to other games and finding the perfect balance between framerate and visual quality can be very difficult (especially when the game crashes every 5 mins lol)

If you found this guide helpful, please consider doing the things below, it costs nothing and helps others see the guide!

Of course, I will continue updating the guide as new patches gradually roll out or as i find better settings to use so stay tuned for that.

And finally, Thanks for reading!!!!!! :)

Still not getting more than 60 fps with RTX 4070. What i'm doing wrong? Part 2 runs waaay better.

Thank you so much! (Just gave you a take my points award).

I have a very similar setup as you and get identical performance with your recommended settings. I'm running a RTX 3070Ti on the Razer Blade 17 laptop.

I'm curious to see what would be the next settings I could enhance for a bit more graphical quality, without totally destroying the framerate etc.

Would you be open to sharing a recommendation?

Thanks again!

Goddamn THANK YOU, I was playing on medium settings and it was stuttery as hell. Now I'm running high/ultra with your recs and it is smooth as butter. Thanks, giving you as many awards as I can :lunar2019wavingpig:

yo bro, I'm here again, I just have some advice. Recently nvidia updated the nvidia app so maybe you can include changing the DLSS version to the latest and make sure to disable the steam overlay. I noticed a change doing the DLSS version thing, obtaining more stability and according to several benchmarks that I was looking at, the vast majority of games obtain between an average of 10 additional fps if the overlay is disabled. you should try it

@Deathkabob, from what i tested most if not all encounters behave the same its really just outside of encounters e.g. the opening scene where everyone is running and horse/partner ai, where you see a small difference but unless you know what to look out for, in terms of what changes between high and low you literally won't tell the difference (trust me i couldn't and i have 150+ hours) so i thought better to have it at low and gain a couple fps. If youre super paranoid about it just set it to high and don't bother tho.

ai quality at low? that wouldnt worsen the experience would it?
