Aussiedroid's GAS Achievement Guide
От Aussiedroid
To assist players in understanding what needs to be accomplished to get all achievements, I have created this concise breakdown of all the Grid Autosport achievements and how/where to get them. There are some helpful tips for beginners, also info on how to complete the other in-game non-Steam challenges ... on the way to becoming a Grid Autosport LEGEND!

General Info

There are 50 achievements in the base game of Grid Autosport (GAS). Most of these are straight forward to get, although not necessarily obvious when or where you get them without playing through the full game.

DLC content also adds a further 10 achievements to obtain.

The achievements listed in the below sections of this small guide, have been sorted into Single Player and Multiplayer. Within each section I have sorted the achievements approximately in order from first to last (top to bottom) ones that you will get. I have also provided an estimated time frame that an average racer may need to complete these achievements.

GAS Achievements are not linear to unlock, so your own order will vary, but none the less will give you a rough idea of when & where to get them.

Ravenwest loosing it on the grass!A few handy things to know about Grid Autosport achievements:
  • It's a long ride! To unlock all achievements, you will need to complete around 500 races in Single Player Career & potentially more than that to reach the final achievements in Multiplayer. Buckle in and enjoy the ride.

  • You can choose what to do next! Sparkling, or should I say Sparking, Pagani Zonda!Single or Multiplayer, Open Wheeler or Street, you can choose the order in which you unlock many of the achievements.

Note: Some achievements do require prerequisites to be unlocked before they are made available. For example the Grid Legend series.
  • If you want to get the most achievements as quickly as possible start with the Single Player Career.
There are 37 Single Player Vs. 13 Multiplayer achievements. (base game)

Some achievement counters may not work? This seems to be fixed now, but if it is still happening to you don't worry, your progress is still counting (as you will notice the periodic progress pop-up showing in the in-game overlay, for example, with the FTW achievement).
Single Player Achievement Tips

Single Player: Competing against the AI, Ravenwest is your Ultimate goal!
TOTAL of 37 of 60 achievements.

In Career mode, there are a total of 5 disciplines, each with a series of 9 championships to complete.

You will need to progress through to level 8 in each discipline to reach the 9th and final grand championship (9-12 event season).

Championships will unlock as you level-up, but you can choose to drive any championship you want to reach your level target. You are encouraged to race the new championships as they unlock due to the increased xp rewards earned, but the choice is up to you. You will however need to race the 6th and 10th championships to get all the achievements.

Completing the championships will increase your career level for that discipline only. You will need to reach the milestone levels of 3, 6 & 9 across ALL disciplines to unlock the Grid Legend series event (one at each milestone level for a total of 3 series). DLC Championships are available under the separate menu 'Extra Championships' from Career mode.

Once you have reached level 9 for all disciplines, and completed the Grid Legend series you will then need to work each discipline up to level 10 to unlock the remaining late-game career achievements.

Open Wheeler @ SPA (Reverse track).By this stage, you should have also won all of the grand championships (these are the final event championships in each discipline). Once you win a grand championship, you will be able to choose Ravenwest as your team for that discipline. Next time you will be able to play the grand championships again with Ravenwest and get the final post-game achievements.

You only need to get to level 10 for each discipline to be able to get all Single Player achievements. This requires 1 million XP points.

This feels slow going to begin with, but does start to come quick in the mid to later part of the game as rewards increase. You can also disable driving assists via the menu and increase AI difficulty to further boost your XP rewards each race.
→ Single Player Achievement List
Custom Cup 'Offline' Achievements (20-30mins)
Notes:

You can get these out of the way before you start the other single player career achievements. Good option to get your eye in with some practice before tackling the career full on!

Simply start a 5 race event in Custom Cup mode. 'Long-Haul Legend' will not trigger if you race 5 individual/single races.
Your First Career Completion Achievements (30mins-1hrs)
Notes:

These are easy to obtain as they do not require any specific position to be earned, only participation.

Racing through one of each discipline will ensure you have all of these achievements.
Early-game 'Easy' Win Achievements (1-2hrs)
Notes:

Unlike previous Grid games, qualifying has become more valuable exercise for bonus points, and also to avoid AI issues, so you will likely get the 'Leading Them Off' achievement quickly.

You will have earned the next 3 achievements for your first race, cup & championship win in any discipline. If you are strugging to get to the front, then turn down the difficulty for a few rounds to knock these off the list.

Satisfying all 6 sponsor objectives in a race event can be a little tricky sometimes, but really only need one really good run to get. Check the objectives prior to your race and ensure you try to complete them. If you don't get it just move on to the next event and keep trying.

The team target achievement I found to be a bit easier and should be accomplished generally if you place in the top few drivers in a championship season.

'Tweak to Peak' will be available after you complete a couple of championships in a discipline. When choosing your team for the season, make sure you pick one that has customisation options for their cars (not all do early on). Once you have chosen the right team, you will need to go to vehicle tuning before the race and change one of the settings. Thats it!
Mid-game Career Achievements (10-40hrs)
Notes:

The first 5 'Unlock' achievements are obtained at unlocking championship event 6 in each discipline. To reach this, you will need to finish 4 championship events in the discipline; it should unlock once you complete the event. Each of these championships has a total of 6 races each (and generally a cup, or maybe two).

The last 5 'Finish' achievements are obtained after placing in the top 3 positions in the final grand championship for each discipline. Each of these grand championships has a total of 10 races each (and generally also a couple of cups) and will take around 1-1.5hrs to complete.
Mid to Late-game Completion Achievement (1hrs)
Notes:

You wil need to complete an event for each race type, in any position to unlock this achievement.

Race types available in Single Player (via Career) are Race, Time-Trial, Endurance & Drift.

Race types available in Party (via Custom Cup) are Demolition Derby, Checkpoint & Eliminator.
Late-game Career Achievements (40-80hrs)
Notes:

Reaching level 9 across all disciplines will allow access to the final Grid Legend series event.

Reaching level 10 per discipline (Total of 1 million XP) will unlock each of the respective level 10 late-game career achievements.

'The Journeyman' requires the following 10 teams: Intel, Oakley, Razer, Kicker, Liqui Moly, Forge, Monster Racing, Cusco, K&N & Ravenwest. Not all teams are available in all disciplines so you will need to play most to complete. For the last team, Ravenwest, you will need to win the grand final '10 event' championship to unlock. For K&N, try finishing 2nd or higher overall in multiple seasons in the discipline, and try to hit your targets; they will not appear if you are performing poorly.
Post-game 'Ravenwest' Achievements (80hrs+)
Notes:

Ravenwest becomes available after coming 1st in the grand final '10 event' championship. Racing any championship after this gives you Ravenwest as a 3rd sponsor choice, with full customisation on cars & finally a decent team mate!

You will need to race all 5 grand final championships (again!) with Ravenwest to get Rick Scott's achievement.

“On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.” ― Ayrton Senna
Multiplayer Achievement Tips

Multiplayer: Drive all disciplines against real people!
TOTAL of 13 of 60 achievements.

The larger the number of opponents you race against online, the larger the XP & Cash reward will be.

If you do not have many real players around joining games, then a good option is to create your own custom cup and populate it with AI drivers.

The harder the AI difficulty the greater the rewards. Likewise disabling driving assists via the menu, increases difficulty and in-turn the reward bonus you get. Choosing a discipline that you own a car in will also assist obtaining some car upgrade/leveling achievements while you increase your multiplayer level.

Alternatively, you can also try find more players by changing your Steam Download Region (UK or US are good choices) via the Settings menu. Restart Steam, restart GAS and search again.

Concentrating on one discipline may also assist in speeding up the late game car upgrade/leveling achievements. Once you have an upgraded car, you will be in a better position to win more races, in-turn speeding up the FTW & I've Stopped Counting achievements.

There are no achievements directly related to RaceNet Clubs, but joining one can earn you more money through sponsors when the livery is applied. This can help you progress through multiplayer and ultimately obtain the achievements.

A lesson on how NOT to drive! Avoid this sort of repair bill!Avoid damage as much as you can to minimise wasting money on the repair bills!

You can also level up your purchased cars in Global Challenges. This will also help get improved times and greater rewards at the end of the week. You should also be able to use Global Challenges to grind out a Level 99 car & Level Up your Multiplayer rank if you really wanted to avoid online racing.

Some will find leveling up in multiplayer a slow process, others will power through it. The times below are only estimates on how long it may take the average player to reach and complete the achievements.
→ Multiplayer Achievement List

Global Challenge Achievements (1+ races)
Notes:

Depending on your skill level this may be a harder one to obtain. There is a new set of random challenges each week to try.

Keep practicing, use friends (or leaderboard) ghost times to see where you are loosing time. Try different loan cars (if available) or get a faster time using your 'leveled up' purchased car!

Better success can also be found by attempting a Global Challenge that is free of AI. They can greatly impact your times (and frustrate the hell out of you! lol!).

Drift, Time Trial etc can be good options when they appear or simply stick with what you are best at and keep at it!
Splitscreen Mode Achievements (30mins)
Notes:

You can get these out of the way before you start the other multiplayer achievements. Consider it a warm up :)
Simply start a 5 race event in Splitscreen mode. 'Side-splitting' will not trigger if you race 5 individual/single races.

If you do not have a buddy to race locally, then I recommend choosing the Endurance mode so you will not need to get both players cars across the finish line (event will simply end when the timer runs out).
Early-game Multiplayer Achievements (1-2hrs)
Notes:

It wont take long to accumulate enough money to purchase your first car. Approx 20-40k is needed to start you off.

Under Multiplayer > My Vehicles, choose an empty garage slot and then choose your car from the new or used list. Always good to start with a car/discipline you like to drive.

You can now start to level it up by racing the discipline online to help you accomplish some of the later multiplayer achievements listed below.
Mid-game Multiplayer Achievements (20-70hrs)
Notes:

Levels for each discipline count towards your overall multiplayer level. You will need to reach level 10 for each discipline which may take a few hours minimum (likely much longer) to reach per discipline. You can choose to play random playlists of all disciplines to level each up together or concentrate on one at a time.

These will help towards your late game multiplayer achievements as well.
Late-game Multiplayer Achievements (70hrs+)
Notes:

Unless you are an absolute gun and win every race, completing these achievements will take a very long time. I'm still working on these myself, but would estimate you will need to race 500+ races online to cross all these off the list.

'Tek-Domination' will likely come first and can be acquired once you get a car generally to Level 50. At this point you should have unlocked all the modifications & upgrade options. You will need to buy all of these on one car to trigger the achievement.

For the others, as mentioned in the opening statements, you can try concentrating on one discipline, increase the difficulty or doing some hard grinding in the Global Challenges to speed these along.

Update: There is an easier way to get the 'FTW' Achievement (100 online wins). You only need a friend and both of you can get this achievement in a matter of 2-3 hours. You have to create an online custom cup either drift or drag with 5 events in a row and the shortest tracks, then start duelling each other - one of you will get a win like every minute! **Thx Simboker**

Not much else to recommend here, other than putting in the time behind the wheel :)

** Keep it Clean out there on the Track! **

Good luck & Good racing!
DLC Achievements
Touring Legends DLCDrag DLC
→ DLC I: Sprint Pack

TOTAL of 4 of 60 achievements. RELEASED: 27th Aug, 2014.

First of 3 planned Mini-Expansions introducing point-to-point racing, 4 tracks from GRID 2 (California Coast, Hong Kong, Cote d’Azure & Okutama), a new Championship, plus 4 new achievements to obtain.
1) DLC Achievements: Sprint Pack (30mins+)
Notes:

If you want to get straight into the Sprint time achievements, then navigate to 'Extra Championships' from the menu, and pick the last (9th) World Championship Formula A (4 Events). All 4 grand tracks are here and you will have the speed you need to beat the times. The time are not too difficult to get, but if you are struggling try tuning your car.

I used Front Brake Bias, Higher Downforce, Softer Front Suspension and -20 or -30 Gear Ratio to complete the task.

"No, no, he didn’t slam you, he didn’t bump you, he didn’t nudge you… he *rubbed* you. And rubbin, son, is racin’." – Harry Hogge, Days of Thunder
→ DLC II: Touring Legends Pack

TOTAL of 3 of 60 achievements. RELEASED: 16th Sept, 2014.

Second of 3 planned Mini-Expansions introducing Silverstone & Donnington Park circuits, new Championship series, 5 classic Touring Cars, plus 3 new achievements to obtain.
2) DLC Achievements: Touring Legends Pack (3-4hrs)
Notes:

Navigate to 'Extra Championships' from the menu to complete the 30 races across 3 championships.

Can complete in any order, but unlike career mode, you are unable to save mid-season.

Your car has all the upgrade options available (like racing for Ravenwest), but on my playthrough the upgrades were not fitted to the car by default. Ensure you check this before your first race in each series.

Cars are well balanced in this category, making them fun to drive & achievements easy enough to get.

"Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary… that’s what gets you." – Jeremy Clarkson
→ DLC III: Drag Pack

TOTAL of 3 of 60 achievements. RELEASED: 14th Oct, 2014.

Final of 3 planned Mini-Expansions adding drag racing, includes 3 drag strips at Hockenheimring, Autosport Raceway & Detroit, 3 drag cars, new championship series, plus 3 new achievements to obtain.
3) DLC Achievements: Drag Pack (1-2 hrs)
Notes:

TBC

"Straight roads are for fast cars, turns are for fast drivers." – Colin McRae
Non-Achievement Challenges
So you have 100% achievements ... what is left to do?

There is always Time-Trials and beating your friends times, but for the completionists out there, getting 100% of the achievements still leaves a few other things to work towards. In Multiplayer, there is always more cars to level up or purchase to fill your garage (if not there already!) and in Single Player there is the path to becoming a Legend!

Generally, after completing the Single Player achievements you will be around level 10-11 in each discipline, but you can increase this to Level 12!

This will be 15-19 events per discipline; basically its the entire Single Player career all over again!

You can view you award overall progress via Career Hub > Awards tab. Also you will see this updated trophy label in the championship view:

Your standard 1st Trophy badge gets updated to this 1st Ravenwest Platinum Trophy after winning again.

For anyone struggling with the Sprint DLC achievements, I recommend using a Formula A car with all available upgrades installed and Downforce set to HIGH and unlimited rewinds. I was able to unlock all these achievements with ease and I'm not the greatest driver, so if I can do it, you can do it too.

Thank you ! Ravenwest achievements can be made even quiting every race and being in the last position with no points.

If you're grinding global achievements for online XP, I suggest you try to achieve bronze, silver, gold and platinum medals in separate events.
Going straight for the platinum medal will only give you XP for platinum and you will lose out on XP for all the medals below yours.

Anyone here still playing? I need a boosting partner - we can help each other.

About the split screen - if you have the DLC - just start 5 drag events, without bots. Took me literally 3 minutes to get both of achievements.
yansen 2 июл. 2019 г. в 0:34
No, he meant that you could get bigger rewards if you fill the rest of the race with bots.
You still need at least 1 player to start it
Peaky Blinders (Estrellita 🌟) 5 окт. 2018 г. в 16:22
so to clarify. There is no need of other human players to get the online achievs? Can you do it all with bots?
