Before we begin to get involved with all the Identities and the EGOs, we first must get a few things straight here.

1: All of my own takes on the Identities and the EGOs are based on my own subjective take on them. Keep in mind that when built with the proper team, ANY ID AND EGO IS GOD-TIER. Project Moon have done a fantastic job balancing content around these builds and have designed with the sole idea that you have built a team around it. TIERS ARE RANKED AS FOLLOWS: SS, S, A, B, C, D.

Yes a Bleed Team is the king of all builds, but good luck running that against Kromer and bearing witness to that casual 100 health regen and Attack Up.

2: This guide is built under the idea that you ALREADY know what each status ailment does and how Sin Costs work. For reference, here's a Status ailment picture below:

At the End of the Turn, take Gluttony Damage by the Count, Increase the Bleed Count by 1, then reduce this effect's count by 1.

If New Status Effects are Added, they will be updated within this Disclaimer tab.

3: Stats and Skill Values are viewed with the idea that the unit is Level 30 and at Rank III. This can Change depending on whether Project Moon increases the value or not.

4: Some images are taken from the Prydwen Site for ease of use, however, all thoughts and tiers are of my own subjective opinion.

5: Skill Ordering goes by the skill with the most of its respective affinity. Keep this in mind as you read this.

6: THIS GUIDE WILL BE LONG!!! PLEASE BOOKMARK WHEN GIVEN! (Given the Guide Cap that Steam has to offer, multiple different guides might have to be made.)

With this in mind, we have 4 new Status Effects that will be coming out with the new characters so:

NAIL:
At the Start of the Turn, gain 1 Bleed and increase the Bleed Count by this Effect's Count. At the end of the turn, halve the count (Rounded Down)

FANATIC:
Raise Skill's FINAL Power by the Effect's Count against Units with Nails.

GAZE:
Affected unit takes more damage from Pierce and Blunt skills for One turn. The ally that defeats the Marked Unit are healed SP; If this unit is from N Corp, apply Fanatic next turn.

Plus Coin Drop:
Affected Unit's Bonus Coin is reduced. For example, if one Unit has a base coin of 6 and a +5 on the bonus coin if they hit heads, this debuff will reduce that bonus coin's value. It will now have a base coin of 6 but only a +1 on the bonus coin if it hits heads and is hit with this debuff on 4 stacks.

I will try to Update this guide as often as humanly possible. For now, the guide has covered Yi Sang IDs + EGO and Faust (I need to sleep, I started this guide in the middle of the night), but I will quickly update it with a new character ASAP and go from there.

THOUGHTS:

Base Yi Sang carries a good few benefits with him. For one, he has absolutely AMAZING clash value, with End-Stop Stab and Enjamb being able to reliably clash against most enemies with little effort. Sinking is also a nifty debuff for manipulating the RNG that Human opponents hold.

And that's where it all ends there:

Unfortunately, Yi Sang suffers greatly from the fact that he situationally relies on Sinking in order to be very effective as a team member. Sinking doesn't do anything to Abnorms since they don't carry the rule of having SP as a value. This makes Yi Sang shockingly useless in terms of status ailments and abilities against foes like Kromer and Sacristy. He can however, clash reliably against those abnorms but it's hard to justify bringing him with your team if all he can offer is clashing against abnorms.

Base Yi Sang CAN fuel the Wishing Cairn EGO by himself, which certainly can help in building him around that particular EGO. However, that by itself doesn't justify bringing him along with the team.

THOUGHTS:

Seven Yi Sang is rather unique in that he is able to boost his allies' clash power with his support passive. Boasting a Paralysis that is applied next turn is also a huge boost to future clashes within the next turn. He also has decently high speed values so he can very easily set up his status ailments with Moulinet. He is also very capable of Supplying himself with EGO fuel for Wishing Cairn, though it will take a while given it's a skill 3. The ability to boost clash power, boasting a really nice paralysis debuff, and the concept of Moulinet should make him an A tier right?

Well unfortunately, the damage he himself holds is rather... lacking, especially compared to that of Blade Lineage Yi Sang. This however pales in comparison to the sheer COST of his passive. 4 Gluttonies in order to activate his passive is way too high for the effect it currently gives, making his unique ability to boost general clash power rather lacking. He also NEEDS set up in order to be able to perform as effectively as later IDs as Moulinet requires Yi Sang to either have a second skill at the ready within the chain to set it up or pray that his debuff lasts the rest of the turn.

Unfortunately, all of his current problems add up really fast to make Seven Section unfortunately average compared to his fellow Brethren.

THOUGHTS:

A really good ID at least for Yi Sang. Poise in its current state isn't in the best spot and it's mainly due to the fact that the majority of them only last the turn it is applied. Blade Yi Sang doesn't suffer from this however as he applies them Next Turn and can even extend it thanks to his passive. Blade Yi Sang fixes this issue and also is a pretty damn strong duelist by himself. Having 41 Power puts him at equal levels to Heathcliff in single coin attacks, and his Crits are NUTTY!

Thing is, you better pray to RNG because boy is Poise reliant on it. Any hit that connects with poise will disappear regardless of whether the crit was applied or not, and Yi Sang's damage is only Average without crits. It doesn't help that Flank Thrust is COMPLETELY RNG based when it comes to its damage. Either you hit like a truck or it does rather mediocre damage outputs. Blade Yi Sang also needs support in order to be able to fuel his EGOs as he lacks the Sloth Affinity to fuel them himself.

Super High Rolly character, but he is pretty fun when you hit big numbers :).

REVIEW:
A Potentially Strong EGO that has been absolutely shunted by its own Passive. Can easily win Clashes by itself having a base of 18, it has Incredibly strong party buffs in the form of Haste and Attack Power Down that it can apply to enemies. Sadly the damage it deals is rather middling compared to certain EGOs (like BodySack) and that Passive.... My god that passive...

First of all, this passive reduces Yi Sang's speed by a crap ton, which reduces his overall usage on the front line when it comes to clashing. 20% damage buff isn't worth losing the immediate initiative upon getting hit. This EGO also reduces the strength of Blade Lineage since you want him to be getting out attacks as soon as he can, not force him to wait on last. This EGO CAN work with Seven Section, but it's still incredibly niche and frankly I would only use Crow's Eye over Wishing Cairn if you really want the buffs it offers.

REVIEW:
Now this... THIS is a good EGO! It's passive giving a 30% Sloth protection and Blunt Resist makes it absolutely incredible against most of Chapter 3. It has better Clash Values against the likes of Kromer, It's Paralysis will become super useful since Yi Sang tends to start on High Speed to begin with, It does WAY more damage than what Crow is capable of, and Sloth Fragility is a surprisingly strong debuff since Sloth is a rather common skill type to build into.

It's Corrosion is also just as equally strong, since it will now become a 3 Slot AOE and applies Bind, which reduces enemy speed by quite an amount. Interestingly it's not an EGO you should build around as it doesn't hit the damage values that EGOs like BodySack is capable of, but you Can't go wrong at all with this one.

REVIEW:
It can hit hard, it applies a Decent amount of Burn, and it's an AOE at 3 Slots...

Yeah that's it.

Unfortunately, Burn just isn't that good of a status effect at the moment as there is no reasonable way to increase Burn's count so it will only proc once majority of the time. It also lacks support as the only reliable burn comes off of Liu Association and a couple other EGOs. It's also WAY too pricy for the effect it gives, and don't get me started on the Overclock price.

However, if Burn gets actual support, this could be a genuinely good EGO, what with how it's passive works. I will update this EGO with its New Tier once proper Support has been added but until then... just use Wishing Cairn.

Her S1 inflicts Paralysis in the current turn, which won't work half the time given she carries an abysmal base speed of 2-4. Her low offensive power means that her coin value is lower than it actually says on the tin, so you are more likely to lose later clashes than to get any bonus effect off of her S2 and S3.

So why is she B tier? Two big things and I'm not talking about her Cup Size.

1: Analytical Eye is an AMAZING passive given that it's incredibly easy to activate and gives a massive boost to general DPS as long as the opponent has ANY status ailment applied to them. You can't go wrong with this passive.

2: Her skill set directly feeds into Remission Emitter, one of the most BROKEN EGOs in the game right now, next to the fabled Faust Fluid Sac. This singular pro is what gives her a massive boost in playrate and the fact that her other EGOs are just as broken as Remission Emitter (Hex Nail and Fluid Sac are just 'chefs kiss')

Also she is Best girl so she is an immediate SSS tier to me :)

Uhhh.... She's hot and her general Visual Design makes her look badass, especially in max uptie...

Yeah that's all I got...

Charge is just way too weird of a status effect. In some cases it is downright nutty (Reindeer Ishmael, Rabbit Heath, and W Corp Don) and in other cases it just... sucks... like outright. You are rarely ever gonna be able to utilize Faust's Charge effects due to how little you generate charge to begin with. Your S1 and passive are your only Charge generation skills and both are just bad.
Your S1 only has 1 coin and NEEDS to hit in order to gain charge, if you lose one clash with it, you ain't getting that charge. Your passive costs THREE ENVIES to be able to get 1 charge??? Why run that passive when you can run Base Faust to have a cheaper and more useful passive. If you have no charge than you basically have an S2 and S3 that do literally nothing but middling damage???

She can't even feed into Remission Emitter and Fluid Sac. Hex Nail also costs way too many envies for it to be useful for W Corp Faust specifically (More on that with Hex Nail's section).

I pray she gets buffed in the future because her playstyle is genuinely cool and interesting but it asks for way too much for way too little.

Now you get to play Yuri and feel sad every time you see that damn apple!!!

But seriously this is a REALLY good ID. While she isn't as tanky as either LCB or W Corp Faust, she makes up for it in pure damage. Deep Cuts does a lot of individual damage while also buffing Faust's already high speed to even greater heights. Her Passive isn't gonna see much use however as you only get to generate at least 2 poises at a time, but frankly you don't run Lob Corp Faust for her Crits, you run her for pure old DPS.

And you should, because Opportunistic HURTS!!! Like we are talking very casual 50-70 damage outputs when you get head values on said attack. It will do even more if she hasn't taken damage which isn't hard to accomplish since her clash values are high and Deep Cuts is very easy to win clashes with. It sadly is another victim of RNG since hitting tails on this attack feels absolutely TERRIBLE doing a measly 8 damage when it would normally do upper digits.

She can feed into the legendary Fluid Sac, though it will take some time. RNG and having a kinda useless passive hurts her chances to go to S but DAMN is she close. Any buffs to poise will very likely push her into that tier.

The Great Gamer Girl Herself!! All in her glory and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is she Strong!!!

Where do I even begin with this character??? Her Clashes are insanely good, you are rarely going to be losing clashes running this character, Her Speed is incredibly high which coordinates greatly with her S2 and S3, She contributes to feeding ALL of her EGOs (though cannot self-sustain), She gives Paralysis on next turn which decimates boss coins, She does Great damage by herself, and her passive once activated just Auto-Wins the wave. Heck even her Defense skill is useful since it lowers the enemy's SP upon dodging a skill, thus reducing the chance they get at hitting heads!

Her S2, the Gripping, is also one of the BEST second skills in the game bar none. Boasting an insane 4-16 clash value by itself while also applying The Gaze. The Gaze applies a mark that gives all units targeting it extra damage on all blunt and piercing attacks. This contributes to a MASSIVE amount of damage and is one of the biggest contributors to her general flexibility. You can run her with a lot of different teams as long as they run blunt and pierce and you will never go wrong with her.

Whistles is also an insanely powerful passive that gives both Sanity healing on 2 targets and the Fanatic buff to those in N corp. While it is INSANELY pricy, boasting a whopping 5 cost on Lust, it kinda has to be because once activated, nothing stands in your way.

Execution, while having low damage values by itself, is incredibly powerful in its effect. 4 Nails on Heads is a LOT of bleed, not to mention the party-wide buff given after killing turns your whole party into Damage machines while healing Sanity at the same time.

Her only flaw is that she cannot self-sustain any EGOs other than Hex Nail and that her Passive is very high costed, but those are the only things that keep her from becoming literal god-incarnate.

Beware the 4-Chan Gamer Girl!

This EGO singlehandedly increases Faust's play rate even on Base Faust. It heals SP for all allies, it has an AOE of 3 slots, it's easy to build into since Base Faust feeds directly into it, and it has decent clash values. Its only problem is that the passive begins to lose power come turn 10 but even despite that, the passive makes the EGO already even better than it currently is.

You can't go wrong with this one at all.

This EGO is really good at Damage Amplification. Since it provides both Pierce Fragility and Envy Fragility, you will be boosting a lot of damage for everyone doing Pierce and Envy Damage. Its Passive works based off of status ailments YOU have however, which does dock the EGO some points in general usefulness. W Corp can feed into it, but it isn't as effective since she uses Blunt while the EGO wants Pierce damage to take full advantage of its kit. It's because it wants a specific damage type however is why it is only S tier, as it isn't as flexible of an EGO as that of Fluid Sac or Remission Emitter.

This EGO is EXTREMELY good with N Corp, as Envy is a very easy Sin to build with this kind of team and Pierce Fragility + the passive (once active) ramps the damage of the N Corp group (and by extension Grippy Faust) significantly.

Behold the most powerful EGO in this game as of right now!!! Become Dr. Faust, PHD with the touch of a button!

This EGO is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Amazing! It's easy to build into, the damage it dishes out is GNARLY, it's an AOE at up to FIVE slots, Its passive grants both Faust and the weakest ally a protection buff which is a lifesaver in many instances, its corrosion grants a Damage Down debuff.

But none of that compares to the sheer healing that this EGO gives. Healing 15 SP to everyone just by existing while also healing 10% of the ally's MAX HEALTH makes Fluid Sac a lifesaver to anyone who is nearing a stagger threshold or near death. This EGO is known to singlehandedly win encounters that seem to be hopeless just because of that healing.

Legit the only, and I mean ONLY con this EGO actually gives is that it has low clash values being at 16-24 compared to other EGOs. Even so, this EGO is way too damn strong for the clash con to actually mean anything in the grand scheme of things (especially since not many attacks can break this ego to begin with).

Use this, it saves lives.

What even is this?

Probably the worst ID in this game period. Her S1 and S2 need to win a clash to gain its benefits, but they also are 1 coin skills with low clash values? Her Passive is straight up useless for her, her S3 wants you to have 10 speed on a character that will almost never get enough speed to use it, her EGO is actual garbage. I could make a literal essay about why Base Don is just terrible at what she does.

Just use her other IDs, they are WAYYY better in every way. Speaking of...

REVIEW

This ID is honestly underused. People see Shi Section Don and look at her 50% health gimmick and think she just isn't good because of it.

But don't let that fool you, cause this Speedster can hit, and she can hit REALLY HARD.

She has a lot of good things going for her. She has very high clash values. Besides her S1, her S2 and S3 can clash into a lot of attacks and she will do fairly well. She is incredibly easy to build up during a fight, her Haste requirement on her S3 is surprisingly easy to attain thanks to her S2 providing her with Haste. Her passive is also very good at giving her some free haste and is relatively easy to build into.

But that S3... ooohhh boy... Overbreathe hits like a TRUCK. It is not uncommon for her to easily hit 60+ with a Heads hit Overbreathe, not to mention it can crit thanks to the poise her S2 and S1 give. The +3 skill power will also apply to the clash, making even a Tails Overbreathe at least decent for clashing against opponents.

Unfortunately, the fact that she cannot feed into her EGOs very well apart from Telepole and that she is another sufferer of RNG keeps her well away from ever entering the fields of SS. Now if only she can do absurd damage, is not suffering from RNG, and is incredibly reliable for any team.

REVIEW

This ID is one of the best DPS IDs in the game, only beaten out by Bunny Ears Heathcliff.

Unlike W Corp Faust, she is surprisingly easy to charge up for Rip Space due to having Charge generation on her S1, S2, and Passive. Even despite the clunky mechanic where charge loses count by 1 on each turn, it's easy to maintain it up to 10, even more so with Telepole.

She almost never loses clashes due to having so many damn coins and bonuses to work with, she grants rupture which is really good at increasing DPS. Fragile is another really nice Status effect that Leap can easily produce. Rip despite being her worst skill, still has a good clash value at 5-11 and provides charge + rupture. She is INCREDIBLY versatile, you are likely to see her being used in nearly every team that requires DPS due to how good she is at her job.

And this is because of Rip Space. Rip Space is like a Dealing Devil. You give him 10 charge or you suffer the health loss. Even despite that, Rip Space is so nasty that it is completely common to see it hit 90- TWO HUNDRED DAMAGE!!!! It is just that scary of an ability. Rip Space is the perfect example of a skill where the benefits far outweigh the cost to using it.

And it is even more broken now thanks to Telepole's existence, more on that on the EGOs.

Remember that this guide was made before the Sanity changes, 12 +11 was significantly worst when heads chance capped out at 70%, I've had that E.G.O lose clashes verses normal attacks.
RedCobra May 28, 2023 @ 4:48am
don base E.G.O is not useless or bad, if the enemies weak to orange & piercing it still deal a lot of damage.

what i like about don base E.G.O the heal Based on% damage deal to enemies / bosses. she is just like gregor can life steal and can be immortal hard to die.
Lycan Apr 7, 2023 @ 1:22am
Yeah, I can't believe they just up the head rolls without telling anyone beforehand. I used to place BL Yi Sang at A for the clash winning and he can go solo in abno / human fight, but now, he is B. Until they release something that revolves around Poise (like Nails with Bleed), Poise is terrible (unless you use Shi Ishmael).

W Don is S, SS with EGO. Fragile is not just "good". 2 Fragile means 20% damage up against that target for all of your units, which is ... better Poise.

Shi Don is terrible. B for me because of the new passive system. 5 Own Red for +10% Slash dmg. If you think her skill 3 is good then you better go for G Outis, who has more base value without the need to have 10 Speed.
Birp Apr 6, 2023 @ 4:00pm
Yeah so 95% chance to land heads (at max sanity) is a massive buff to single coin skills. Shi Don got saved hard, her s3 is basically an EGO now. But idk I'd say tentative A for me.

On the other hand, anyone with "high base power low coin power" kinda sucks a bit more now. Notably base and BL Yisang.
Zalgo  [author] Apr 6, 2023 @ 11:41am
Seven Section Outis is bonkers. Number speak for everything, She is either an S or an SS since she has everything she needs to be an effective Damage enabler.

Hong Lu is A, his addition was a massive buff to burn teams but unfortunately his skill set doesn't contribute to some of the burn egos that are out.

W corp Faust did get buffed by Telepole by a surprisingly great deal, the cost reduction being 2 charge instead of the expected 1 allows her to use her Skill 3 with 0 issue whatsoever. It also makes her Skill 2 cost only 1 charge and she will have 7 charge after using Telepole. This enables her skills to a huge degree and pretty much is a requirement if you want to run W corp Faust.

Without the Ego, W corp is a D, but with Telepole, she's a B as she still suffers from low clash values and speed.
Zalgo  [author] Apr 6, 2023 @ 11:36am
I would consider a great deal with the RNG comments Lycan if PM didn't recently buff the SP system. Since now at max SP you have a 95% chance to hit heads, characters like Don's Overbreathe and Remnant Faust's opportunistic slash will easily be hitting high numbers.

TingTang got buffed by proxy as well and might be an easy SS just because his Mutilate is way easier to land heads on by a landslide.
Dispel Apr 6, 2023 @ 8:19am
For W corp Faust, if you have the Telepole E.G.O., it removes must of the need for charges that she is usually craving.

Remant Fause is B because her passive is useless. If she triggers it, she has to use skill 2, but skill 2 gives her enough of Haste that make the passive... useless. However, her suppport is kinda good, but we have to see how the defense strategy will change after the patch.

Also, before saying Yi Sang's base EGO's passive useless, remember that we can let him Counter to take in the damage, so that we can crit non stop next turn.
Lycan Apr 5, 2023 @ 1:31pm
Faust Gamer is the most OP unit in the game at the moment. She has everything. Damage? 4-16 roll in skill 2 and 50% extra damage on skill 3. Debuff? Nails, Bleeds, Paralyze, Gaze (Jesus, what is going on?). Buff? Sanity and DMG Up on kills. Support? A bit costy but worth it. She gives 15 SP for 2 members and if they are from N Corp as well, 1 Fanatic (damage up and Attack Power against Nailed). Even when you bench her, she is still good. She doesn't even need EGO to win. Her skill 2 and 3 are her EGOs.

W Corp Faust is a noob trap. It's funny that you have to spend 5 Charge to get the -2 Attack Power from the base Identity.
