Introduction
God Mode is a cheat accessed through the console command "Toggle God Mode" (or TGM). At the beginning, it seems like all God Mode does is prevent you from losing Health, Magicka, or Stamina, but as someone who uses this cheat to an alarming degree, I've found it does some other things too.

This guide is split into two sections: Confirmed Effects (things that I know happen due to the cheat) and Unconfirmed Effects (things I'm unsure about).

If you happen to know of any information in this guide being inaccurate, please let me know!
Confirmed Effects
  • No loss of Health, Magicka, or Stamina - this is all most sources will tell you about God Mode. According to UESP, this also isn't the full story; if you're fighting an NPC or creature with Reflect, the reflected damage will hurt you.
  • No loss of Weapon Health - No matter how much you use your weapon, it never degrades.
  • 100% chance to cast Spells - You will always succeed when casting a spell.
Unconfirmed Effects
Logical Conclusions - Decent evidence to support
  • No loss of Armor Health - I don't wear a lot of armor, but I don't remember having to repair it, and the armor I do wear is at 100% health. Given that weapons don't degrade, this would make sense.
  • Higher chance to hit enemies - I don't find myself in situations where I have trouble hitting the enemy; as far as I can recall, most times I hit, I do damage. I could, however, just not be noticing the times I don't do damage as I spam attack pretty fast haha.
  • No need to recharge Enchanted Items - I don't remember ever having to do this, so I'm assuming it's because of God Mode.

Theories - No backing whatsoever
  • No loss of Lockpick Health - Currently, this is not something I experience; however, I vaguely remember a time when my lockpicks were invincible. My theory is that lockpicks lose health in OpenMW (which I now use), but they'll be invincible in the Vanilla game.
  • Ability to cast spells that cost more Magicka than you have - Unfortunately I don't have any spells like this currently, but I think it's possible that, since you can't lose Magicka, and you have 100% chance to cast successfully, it may be possible to cast spells that use more Magicka than you have.
Feel free to test my theories (let me know what happens if you do)!

The only downside that occurs is that if you find an enemy with reflect affecting them your magic damage and enchants can then kill you I died many times before realizing what was killing me in god mode.
