Hornet

Skilled protector of Hallownest, Hornet weaves her way into Rivals of Aether!

Wielder of needle and thread, Hornet utilises agility and movement to dance around her opponents and the battlefield. Set up traps with her spiked barbs and silk wrap to extend combos or close out stocks.



Gimmick: Silk wrap
Certain moves can apply a Silk status onto opponents. Hitting silked opponents with certain other moves will wrap them in silk for a short period of time, allowing for an easy follow up.

Nspecial: Spike barb
Hornet throws a spiked barb in front of her, which remains in place on stage. The barb will hit any opponents in hitstun, and causes silked opponents to be wrapped on hit. Barbs can be bounced off using moves like Dair, Dattack and Uspecial.

Fspecial: Silk dash
Hornet encases herself in silk and dashes forwards. Opponents hit by the move will get the Silk status effect.

Uspecial: Needle throw
Hornet throws a needle in a straight line that travels a set distance before returning. The throw can be angled up or down by inputing direction during the move's startup. If the needle hits an opponent, the stage, or a barb, Hornet will grapple to the object. Opponents hit by the move will get the Silk status effect.

Dspecial: Silk sphere
Hornet's needle flies around her in a large sphere surrounding her, a large multihit attack that can kill off the top. Silked opponents will also become wrapped on hit.

Dair
Dair bounces off opponents and barbs, and can be b-reversed on startup. Dair can be canceled into a special, doublejump or airdodge after a certain amount of time.

Directional Taunts
Press a direction while pressing Taunt to make Hornet shout a voiceline while performing an attack (with much slower framedata)


A full voiced mode will be implemented whenever Silksong releases and I can extract the voice files.
