it just requires proper configuration. it goes by your refresh rate as a target NOT frame rate so you need to be aware of that
with high refresh rates simply set it to 50% or i think you can do 25%.
so with 120hz refresh, set to 50% now it's only trying to achieve 60fps, which is more than achievable
and it DOES work, just only to a point. it's best used if you are just under say 60 fps and need a small boost.
and VRS appears broken in the screenshots, because it should NOT be degrading textures like that that are right smack in your point of view and its NOT that extreme. what it does us reduce shading quality on surfaces that are not directly in view that don't need to be at 100% quality, such as to the edges of your screen or in the distance
