Description
Compatible with Elder Kings 2 Version 0.13 "Warp in the West"

Elder Council Elective Succession

Purpose: Adds more flavor to playing as the Empire, presenting both benefits and challenges that makes playing as the de-facto heir to Reman more unique. This succession law is only available to the Empires of Cyrodiil and Tamriel.

Benefits: +10 vassal opinion, +30 vassal limit. As the Emperor of the Ruby Throne, the Elder Council will handle many of the more menial tasks of governing the empire, allowing you to effectively rule over a much larger empire.

Challenges: Elective Succession. As Elder Kings takes place during the Interregnum, the lack of a true Dragonborn empire means no one has a true legitimate claim to the Ruby Throne, so your vassals will attempt to convince the Elder Council that their dynasty is more worthy of the Seat of Sundered Kings then yours.

Compatibility: Requires Elder Kings 2. Will likely be incompatible with any other submod that edits laws (common/laws). Load below Elder Kings 2 in your load order. Should not require a new game as long as your savegame is the latest version of EK2.

@Freddy Benson - this simply added a feudal elective succession law - Admin gov is a more flavorful replacement with the new update

Any event would not be an efficient way of doing this. I could see possibly adding a trigger that prevents vassals from declaring war though. I’ll look into it, though keep in mind I’ve kept it simple thus far for a reason. The more stuff I add, the less inherently compatible it becomes with other submods.

Advise: Voters are more likely to vote for people with dragonborn trait.
Dragonborns' voting weight will increase dramatically
