[OBSOLETE] How to Play as The Noise in Pizza Tower

Don't wanna wait for the eventual release for The Noise? Well this guide will teach you how to play as him early.

Method 1: UndertaleModTool

UndertaleModTool[github.com] is the program we will be using to put The Noise into the game for this method, it allows you to to edit the data.win in the game's directory.


Once you're on the page[github.com] you want to download the GUI version of the tool, on the "Bleeding Edge" release.

Using UndertaleModTool

Step 1: Now that you've installed UndertaleModTool, you'll be greeted with this interface.


Step 2: Click file, and open. Go to your Pizza Tower directory and select data.win, make sure you make a backup of the file just in case.


Step 3: Once UndertaleModTool is done loading, you'll be seeing a whole lot of things. Just ignore those things and type in the filter by name box, "obj_mainmenu" Then you click "Game objects" on the side bar and double click "obj_mainmenu".



Step 4: Now that you're in obj_mainmenu, you'll see a lot of confusing stuff. None of that stuff is important, what you'll want to do is scroll down to "Alarm" and double click "gml_Object_obj_mainmenu_Alarm_0" shown here.

Step 5: Now that you've double clicked that, you'll see the decompiled view of Alarm 0, where it says target room, change the number to 3.
Step 6: Now that's done, press Ctrl+S to save, and replace the current data.win, wait for it to finish saving and start the game and select any file. And if it worked, you should see this.

Step 7: Press Z on The Noise and you will be able to play as him!

Method 2: Debug Console

Don't feel like installing a stupid modding tool? Well method 2 is just for you!

Step 1: Right click your game, and click Properties.

Step 2: Look down and you should see "Launch Options" put "-debug" without the quotations inside of Launch Options.


Step 3: Launch the game, and press F5, and type "player_room characterselect A" and you should be greeted with the character select screen.

Method: 3 switch_char

This can only be used in the Halloween update

go into the debug menu (press F5) and type switch_char

easy as that

Bonus: Playing as Pogo Noise and other Characters

Wanna play as The Noise like he was in the Noise's Hardoween demo? Or do you wanna play as the Vigilante? Or hell, even an unfinished Pepperman?

For this, you will need to install the mod tool as seen in method one, I don't know of a console method yet.

DO NOT FORGET TO BACKUP YOUR DATA.WIN OR YOU WILL HAVE TO VERIFY/REINSTALL

Step 1: Start the mod tool, select the data.win like normal.
Step 2: Type gml_Object_obj_characterselect_Step_0, and go to code.
Step 3: on lines 19 and 37, it will say character = P. What you'll want to do is replace both of them with N (for Pogo Noise), V (for Vigilante) or M (for Pepperman).


Step 4: Get to the Character Select via Method 1 or 2, and select The Noise. And if everything is done correctly, you should be able to play as said characters.

Other Information

Since The Noise isn't complete, some animations are missing, but they just default to Peppino's Animations. There are also other issues, such as his color pallete, a bug where if you exit a level you get softlocked until you go back to the main menu, and probably some other things I've missed.\

Make sure you're using the arrow keys and Z to select The Noise, for some reason custom binds don't work.

If you use Method 2 and use the command while you're in-game (the lobby or a level) the technical difficulties screen will pop up while you're in there. It doesn't matter though, you can still select The Noise as normal.

If you play as The Vigilante, metal blocks will be impossible to break because of his bomb feature being removed.
If you play as Pepperman, you can't wall climb, and a lot of other features are missing because he's unfinished.
