How to play on windows 11/10.

In this guide i will show you how to play Grand Theft Auto on Windows 10/11 using dgVoodoo2.

Install dgVoodoo2

First of all we need to install the latest version of dgVoodoo2.

You can get it from this link: dgVoodoo2 [github.com]

Then we need 3 files from the dgVoodoo2 zip folder. These files need to be added into the "Grand Theft Auto/WINO" folder from the local files of the game.

• File 1 is the dgVoodooCpl.exe. Which is located in the first area when opening the zip.
  
• File 2 is the D3DImm.dll. This one is located in the MS/x86 folder in the zip.
  
• File 3 is the DDraw.dll. in the same folder as File 2.

Configuring dgVoodoo2

Launch the dgVoodooCpl in the "Wine" Folder in local files of the game.

Go to DirectX and input these settings.



Hit Apply. Then OK.

If you wan a more traditional look. You can use the 4:3 aspect ratio from the Windowed setting in general settings within dgVoodooCpl.exe

Launch The Game

Now you can Launch the game and should be able to play it.

Nothing even opens when I click play, it says I’m playing it on steam for like 30 seconds, then it goes away

if it shows an error on launch after the fixes. Try launching the settings thing first in the main folder outside of the WINO folder, and then launch the game again.

It's strange. I have some sound in the menus, but no sound playing the game. I'm pretty sure it's an issue on my end though.

Hi There. Just tried it again and it seems that the sounds work just fine on my side. So i don't think it is a problem with dgVoodoo2. Though i cant say if it might have a problem with certain audio driver and or cards.
