"An example of how each of the three different Automatic Updates settings affect the acquisition and deployment priority of game updates.

"Always keep this game updated" is the default setting for all installed games. It may attempt to schedule an update at a later time or date based on how frequently you play the game. If you are actively playing the game, it won't be scheduled at all. If it's been a few days or weeks, or even months, since you last played the game, the update will be progressively scheduled later based on how long it's been since you last played the game. The update will still automatically be downloaded and applied the next time you launch the game, or you can manually start the update on your own.

"Only update this game when I launch it" will prevent an update from being downloaded until you either attempt to launch the game or you manually update the game on your own. It will remain in this Unscheduled state until that time.

"High Priority" will bypass the attempt to schedule an update and download and apply an update as soon as one is available. This was the old update behavior before scheduling was introduced.

These are set per game. There is no global toggle for all of your games. If you want a game's update priority to change, you will need to set it for each and every individual game."
