iKia's build collection and tools

In here you will find links to my build collection and several other spreadsheet based tools i have made over the years, with a short description to what each tool is for, and some extra stuff that can be used to increase your knowledge of the game.

Build Collection

in the following link you will find my build collection,
it is a google drive folder that contains build pictures, they are designed to show you the layout of the build and all the stats and talents assigned to the gear, in a quick and easy way,
it is all the loudouts i currently have and run on 5 characters across 2 accounts,
each having 16 loadout slots, so making a total of 80 active builds without many direct duplicates,
and a further 20 orso random older or not good enough builds that i have used over time. but are no longer in a loadout slot.

In it you will also find a recommended builds list as a written guide, that has some info on what build does what well, and it only lists the more effective builds, it also has a few recommended builds for newer players at the top.

i am still active myself and this is actively updated as i change or add loadouts, as new gear gets added i am very likely to make a few builds with them and add them in. as its a active reflection of my loadout slots ingame, that is also what it started as originally, as a tool for me to keep track of my builds and spiraled into what it is today.

all the builds themselves are also ran for atleast a few hours by myself, both in solo and groups and trough most of the content, while i wont say all the builds in there are all the best, as some are just trying a specific playstyle out, and some are even just testbeds for stats or talents. all have some value and can be used in atleast their intended for purpose. this is all to say, there isn't much useless stuff in there as much as some clickbait based sources.

but also for newer players, these build pictures do require a little knowledge of the game, as they can seem hard to understand if you are completely new to the game, if you find yourself lost by not understanding how to copy the build, give the links in the "other tools" section a look over, as there are easier for newer players written out guides available in there.

Burst DPS, Sustain DPS and Damage per Mag Weapon tables

i also keep and maintain a google folder with spreadsheets of weapon DPS for all the weapon types, sorted as both burst and sustain dps, and dmg per mag, also tables for when fast hands is used.

there are many sheets in there, most of the smaller ones are singular parts of the main 0.0 Burst, Sustain & Mag Dmg tables file, by single table as that is easier to parse for when used in discussions or when you only care about one part.

you will also find a short old written guide that really needs to be remade, that contains a brief explanation of what burst and sustain are, its still valid but just less good than i would like it to be nowadays.

these metrics are the hard stats regarding the damage of weapons in the game, and they are factored to include reload speed gained from watch points and the extended mag most players will run per weapon type. making it different from most other base stat weapon charts. as its closer to having the metrics in a way most people will actually deal with.

but i also want to add again as a reminder, that hard stats are only as good soft stats (accuracy in actual play for instance) let them be, don't be the guy that takes this as a tier list, there are other factors that matter and only use this as a tool alongside game knowledge

Build DMG calculators

and here is the link to my dmg calculators, to use them you will need to copy them from in there to your own google folder, and fill them in in there.

these will take the numbers you input from your ingame stats into the yellow fields, and it shows you your dmg outputs, both in burst and sustain,
in the main file you will also get a dmg per talent for some of the most used talents for that build, but it does not have all the talents as some are no easy to quantify, do keep that in mind
there is also a file setup as a fast way to compare 2 or more builds quickly. it may seem daunting at first, but just follow the guide and it will become clear quite quickly
finally there is also a file with some of the quick comparison you will want to do, like a quick what chc/chd combo is better for this build, all in one file for easy use.


these are what i and many others use to compare what makes the best layout for a certain build, as its best to have the highest dps possible if the choice is between 2 layouts that play the exact same (like having vs not having a fox's prayer in a red build).
just keep in mind that once it is no longer the case that 2 builds play the exact same way, you also have to consider those factors alongside the dmg output.

the discord spreadsheet: the people over at the official discord keep and maintain a spreadsheet that is one of the best knowledge bases on the game, with info of all the weapons, gears and skills in the game, there is also a whole section of written build guides that is especially great for newer players, as its easier understood when you can read and follow the directions than my build collection can be for newer players

the reddit spreadsheet: one of the other great resources of knowledge for the division 2, it is also still kept upto date and has allot more datamined info available. meaning drop chances and loot sources, well worth having in your back pocket.

the vendor site: Ruben, one of the longest active community pillars, runs a vendor contents site, it is updated weekly a few hours after the ingame reset, and makes it trivial to know what is on the vendors, while the vendors are not a good source anymore for normal gear or mods, like they used to be in div1, it is still valuable for the DZ vendors and Cassie, also it has a short guide on how to find the snitch for the aforementioned Cassie

Please, if you are following popular TD2 streamers on yt and their videos starts with "best build" and so on, please, close that vid. Most youtubers TD2 youtubers are are click-baiting you into cheap content just for views purpose. I am going to be fair and say that when I started the game 1 year ago, I was looking at every popular youtube for builds, tips & tricks to get a head start. However, soon I realized that most of their content is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for me as I got deep in the game. Most builds here shown by Ikia, I had to found myself, but when i saw his channel and the analysis that he is doing, he deeply impresed me. Ikia build collection is the only one you should follow out there!

also soon tm, i am working on a way of adding more variants of builds, especially gearsets, in folders in the collection. as to add build i dont specifically have saved, but think are decent enough variants to consider, but that will likely be starting towards the end of march/mid april.

@>i2rd hey, happy to hear you like my stuffs, and to answer your question on tu17 updates to builds, i will be adding in a hotshot build pretty soon, and am trying to find some of the better uses for the ninjabag, but its not really a great item compared to other options, but if i find something that is effective enough, i will add it in, as i do want it somewhere in the collection at the very least.

my collection usually goes slower than most other build sources, as i only add stuff in once i have played around for some time with that build and get it to a level i am happy with. doesnt have to be the best builds, as not all are, but has to have atleast an intent or idea that works.

and also there are often small changes to the collection that are mostly incremental, some of the recent changes can actually be found in that checklist file in there, as that is the file i use as my changelog somewhat.
