Lost Souls of Arkham Island

Do you ever wonder,how many died on that night?
I have answer for you,then.

Spoilers ahead.

Prologue

Batman: Arkham Asylum have a special place in my heart.I always play this gаme on rainy days on autumn.And,as we know,this game begins a series.

But, do you know,how many of doctors and guards give their lives trying to prevent the mad clown to escape?

Let's find out,how many poor souls are here.

Conditions and remarks:
- I counted only bodies,who run cold.
- I moved by story,so later in game,you can find a lot of previosuly alive guards dead.
- I dont count skulls in vents,and Killer Moth riddle skeleton.
- Many of corpses can disappear,after you moving through the plot.
- If that matters,i don't use sprint at all.

Part I - Havoc in Madhouse

Batman begins his another Joker chase in Intensive Treatment.This is where havoc begins.

The first two corpses you see in room,where Joker is escaped.

Next,the guard in proceccing corridor.

And after him,you can find another three dead guards.





Next, in Zsasz room,you can find another brave guard,who,supposedly tried to deal with maniac himself.

After Zsasz room,two bodies:

Seven corpses near the exit from Decontamination room.(after the end, four of them appears inside Decontamination room)

Two corpses of Joker's henchmen,inside same room.

Not so far from them,another three.

And near the exit,two more corpses.

After Decontamination room,three bodies in Transfer Room.

Doctor with bucket on his head,after Titan henchman fight, Transfer Loop.

Right behind him,two dead bodies, Transfer Loop.


Secure Transit - two bodies.



Cell Block Transit - two bodies,dissappears later.

Intensive Treatment Lobby - near the vent,long after,one of them will be covered under Ivy's plants.

Intensive Treatment Lobby - near exit,four copses,Bowles with them.

Intensive Treatment Lobby - same ground as above,two corpses.

Intensive Treatment Lobby - near William North.

Intensive Treatment Lobby - after William North, in Utility Corridor.

Part II - Scent of Old Country

With 35 dead members of the staff and thugs,Batman tries to save Jim Gordon.

Part III - Venom in his Veins

Death count is 62 now,Batman tries to find TITAN formula from Dr.Young.

Arkham Mansion - in West Wing Corridor.

Arkham Mansion - in West Wing Woman Toilet.

Arkham Mansion - Penelope Young,Warden's Office.

Part IV - Where We Weep

79 dead souls behind...Batman tries to find Warden Sharp.

Arkham West - above Penitentary - Zsasz masterpiece.

Penitentary - Cells Access,near entrance.

Penitentary - same Cells Access,in corridors.


Penitentary - near Main Cells Block entrance.

Penitentary - Main Cells,on the top,two bodies.

Penitentary - Main Cells,in Control Room.

Penitentary - Controlled Access,five dead bodies.

Part V - Moon through Glasshouse

Trying to find Ivy,Dark Knight leaves a trail of 102 bodies.

Botanical Gardens - Glass House Entrance,on the bench.

Botanical Gardens - Flooded Corridor,two goons.

Botanical Gardens - Flooded Corridor,near previous goons.

Botanical Gardens - Flooded Corridor,guard corpse.

Botanical Gardens - Abandoned Chamber,failed TITAN experiment.

Botanical Gardens - Titan Production Facility,two corpses.

Botanical Gardens - Aviary,previously rescued doctors.

Part VI - No One To Save

114 corpses later,Batman tries to stop Ivy,find Killer Croc,and stop Joker.

Intensive Threapy Lobby - dead goon, who placed the bomb on gargoyle(in City thugs say,that he survived,but in AA,he's dead)

Older Sewer - after obtaining Ultraclaw, dead doctor, near the Ivy plant.

Botanical Gardens - Glasshouse, six corpses of Joker's goons.











Botanical Gardens - in Flooded Corridor.

Botanical Gardens - in Flooded Corridor, near Aviary.

Botanical Gardens - in Flooded Corridor,near Ivy.


No more corpses after Ivy,though.

Go back to penitentary,and observe another one fallen soul.

Conclusion

In total,126 guards,doctors and henchmen died throughout that night.

Interesting details:
- It seems,that three guards above Penitentary was killed by Zsasz,after he was captured in Intensive Treatment,and then escaped.We can't access this location,until we obtain the Cryptographic Sequencer. Why Zsasz goes to Penitentary,if we encounter him again in Arkham Mansion? Last gift to the Greatest Detective?Perhaps,we never know.
EDIT: On my last run,you can spot one guards skeleton,as soon as you arrived to Arkham West.Still, the fact that Zsasz somehow kills three guards before Intensive Treatment sounds a little stange,

You somewhat right,i already doing that,and i see that there is pretty much no corpses.Still,not everything is done in Knight yet,so you just need to wait.How long?Don't know.

Can you do Arkham Knight? I have honestly wondered how many guys died, although just as a fair warning if you do try, I suspect that they may have not put in corpses into the game, as I have never really seen others besides the ones needed for 100% completion.
