Konami Anniversary Collection Screen Stretcher (updated 2024)
By BenzoSt
(Works with both Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Contra Anniversary Collection.)
Stretch the image of the games within Konami Anniversary Collections to better fill your screen space! The featured video details how to do this, either by downloading a mod or by replicating the procedure I used to create this mod.

A fresh installation of Konami Anniversary Collection is located at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Castlevania Anniversary Collection

Download my mod at:
https://www.nexusmods.com/castlevaniaanniversarycollection/mods/2/

Right-click and 'Extract All...' to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Castlevania Anniversary Collection

Run the game. Use the Home key to toggle the ReShade menu, and then click the bar above the long list of installed shaders to select the appropriate preset for the game you are playing. If your monitor doesn't accommodate my pre-configured scaling, adjust the value for the 'Scale image' parameter for the Aspect Ratio shader.

And don't forget that you can toggle Fullscreen mode with Alt+Enter.

Thanks, I tried those settings (1440p monitor) but it doesn't look quite right. I'm taking screenshots between the 4:3 scanline option without AspectRatio.fx enabled and Pixel Perfect with AspectRatio.fx enabled and it's a pretty big pain in the ass!

It looks like the code for AspectRatio.fx was changed about 3 months ago. Try this:

In game, change DISPLAY SETTINGS from Original to Pixel Perfect.

Then in ReShade, check Aspect Ratio [AspectRatio.fx], and try:
Correct proportions -0.206
Scale image to borders 1.000x

I followed your directions, but for "Scale Image", the slider is already all the way to the right with a value of 1.00 and I can't adjust it past that value. Any idea why that is?

Settings for widescreen 4k TV? Pay particular attention to the video around 3:15. The key is to adjust the "Scale image" slider under AspectRatio.fx until you like the way it looks. You can also tinker with the "Correct proportions" slider under AspectRatio.fx.

What settings would you suggest for a widescreen 4k TV?
