คำอธิบาย
The tenth of the Twenty-seven Dead Apostle Ancestors, and a living amalgamation of 666 beasts. Nrvnqsr (phonetically Nero) Chaos, otherwise known simply as Nero or Chaos, he became a Dead Apostle through magical research, as opposed to having blood sucked by a True Ancestor or another Dead Apostle. Nrvnqsr does not identify himself as a vampire, but rather a chaotic, muddy space; he only requires his beasts and devours the entirety of his victims as sustenance. Thanks to his Lair of the Beast King ability, he can absorb and merge his existence with other beings; afterwards, they lose their individuality and become one with the chaotic collective.

Stage domination and pressure is Nero's specialty, and his opponents must respect his potential damage output. Meanwhile, Nero must respect that if he is careless, it may be all but impossible for him to recover. While he exists, all sides of the battle must be cautious.

"I have no such things as familiars. What exists are 666 beasts---and lives equal to that number. Ripping my body in half or crushing my head is meaningless. I am one and 666. If you wish to destroy me, you need to destroy 666 lives at once."

NEUTRAL SPECIAL: Chaos Release - Phantasmic
Nero charges up the Phantom slash, cleaving in a large radius above and in front of him. It deals massive damage and launches on impact. Incredibly long startup.

SIDE SPECIAL: Chaos Release - Horned Beasts / Chaos Exposure Swarm
Horned Beasts has a deer (specifically a buck), bursting out of his chest. It will walk forward for a short time and then thrust upwards; if the horns strike an opponent, it will deal significant damage and Knockback.

Chaos Exposure Swarm only occurs if Nero is on the ground and his Ultra meter is full, emptying it. He summons a swarm of bees that rushes forward and hits several times. This does not count towards the limit of summons. Used for long range.

UP SPECIAL: Chaos Release - Black Wings
A crow flies upwards and divebombs down. The crow does not deal damage until it is shooting towards. Quickly pressing forward after the input will instead send the crow horizontally forward.

DOWN SPECIAL: Chaos Discharge - Reptilian / Chaos Reptile Exposure / Premature Egg

Chaos Discharge - Reptilian summons a tiny snake across the ground that after a few seconds or if an enemy touches or attacks it, a gigantic mouth comes up and launches the victim upwards (that is, if they do not move out of the way quick enough).

Chaos Reptile Exposure only occurs if Nero is on the ground and his Ultra meter is full, emptying it. Nero summons a giant crocodile underneath him. It deals an incredible amount of damage and crushes shields. This does not count towards the limit of summons. Used for close range.

For the same input in the air, regardless of Ultra meter, Premature Egg has Nero transforming into a smoke cloud and rushing downwards at a 45 angle. After transforming, Nero is invincible until he lands; he cannot change his angle or direction.

ULTRA: Armament 999

Nero condenses all of the beasts into a single form, the "best Beast", and rushes forward, dealing damage and significant hitstun. If the Attack button is held down, Nero will turn back and attack a second time, returning to his original position. Holding the Attack button also allows Nero to leave platforms.
He is invincible until the end of the animation.

SPECIAL MECHANICS:
His air dodge gives him a significant boost compared to most characters.
His forward and backward dodges are quite slow but have more extensive invulnerability.
Nero can expend his Ultra meter to perform alternate Side B and Down B.
Each type of summon can only exist once at a time, excluding the Exposure Swarm and Reptile Chaos alternate moves.

PROS:
Nero's attacks, while often slow, have long range and just a few hits can leave the opponent with immense damage.
If he can maintain the advantage, he can make their life a nightmare.
Thanks to his high damage, Nero can build his Ultra meter quickly, providing him with an instant edge.

CONS:
Nero's size, speed and weight significantly hamper him. To make matters worse, he almost entirely lacks any attacks (excluding his aerial Down B and his Ultra) that grant him mobility. Due to these factors, Nero should never be offstage; his extensive air dodge is his only saving grace.
Because of his playstyle relying on stage control and trapping, Nero performs better on flat stages. While he can certainly use platforms to his advantage, they allow his opponents to avoid his attacks far easier.
