step one

the first thing to do is to NOT chop down any trees, ignore the dumb meta youtubers

the TRUE WAY to get wood is to search underground for underground houses, which spawn with wood
DO NOT loot the chests, looting the chests will give you a curse that forces you to play Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne on Hardtype mod on the hard difficulty, blinded, while trying to get the True Demon Ending (tldr: don't open the chests).

once you have around 9999 wood (the max), head back to the surface by alt f4-ing (this method will make you exit the game, so you'l have reopen the game thru steam) There is a 50% chance your wood will be gone, but you can remedy this issue by uninstalling the game and requesting a refund (NOTE THAT REFUNDS CAN ONLY BE REQUESTED IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN ONE HOUR IN THE GAME WHICH IF YOU FOLLOWED STEP ONE YOU PROBABLY DON'T) Housing is elaborated on in Zuzucorn's video (linked in the "other tools for help section", but basically build a 50x50 box, and fill in the box leaving only 1 space in the middle

step three (when does this END)

after building housing, head to the dungeon, its this big building with an old man outside it (more on him later) when looking for the dungeon, if you're on the side of the world with the SNOW BIOME, YOU WILL NOT FIND IT. the dungeon generates on the side of the world with the JUngle. when you arrive at the dungeon, you will see an old man. wait til night and talke to him, and select the "curse" option. a GIANT skeleton will spawn, killing you, and give you a new item called a COMP. this allows you to summon demons. I reccomend summoning Shiva, as he has the powerful skill Tandava, which is an almighty skill, so it ignores elemental resistances like resist, repel, and abso-

using Shiva, spawn the moon lord using your moon lord summon you obtained (right?) and spam Tandava. you might neet chakra drops and pots, as the skill uses a lot of MP. eventually you will defeat him, but next, you wil have to travel to mementos, a secret biome that will only spawn if you corrupt 100% of your world, then mine 83,378,153 corrupt blocks. travel to the depths, and you wil find the final final upda- i mean, boss, Yaldabaoth. repeat the steps for moonlord and you will win!!!!!!!! yay!!!!!!!!!!!

Zuzucorn's Video guide is extremely helpful and will carry you through every step of the game (the worst guide title is a joke)

if you have too much trouble, download tmodloader and look for a mod called "HERO's Mod" and open the item browser for a zenith and any other useful materials (note that vanilla saves do not transfer over to tmodloader)
