How to run better (Monke)

When a new monke enters the world of gorilla tag, they may be often confused on why they are so much slower than the other monkes. Today, I will help you run as fast (or faster) than the better monkes. This skill can also be used to catch other monkes when being the lava monke. (Lava monke is the fire monkey that has a cool lava skin on)


There is one key solution to running problems with new monkes. Most new monkes will tend to make themselves go way too high in the air, this results in more time before you hit the ground again. The faster you are able to hit the ground the better. Instead of hitting on the ground upward, try to launch yourself forward instead of upward. The only time a monke should use its absolute god like strength to hit upward, is to only launch itself at a wall to climb it, or to reach a surface that cannot be reached by normal means. To properly launch yourself forward, try to hit in the direction straight behind you.

Another common mistake made by new monkes is just throwing their hands around or moving them in a circular motion. Not only will this slow you down, but it will also make you more vulnerable or make you lose your prey as a lava monke. Most new monke's will see this as the ideal way to move fast. (Hint: it's not)
