InfMap - Infinite Map Base

Beskrivning
A Truly Infinite Map
Welcome to my infinite map, after a couple months of development it is ready for release.
This map base aims to provide a never before seen sense of scale in the source engine, allowing for smooth travel forever in any direction!
Feel free to build and fly among the planets and stars. The engine speed limit is automatically increased in this map.. so go wild!

Please Note:
  • This map is extremely experimental, do not expect every addon to work flawlessly!
  • Before reporting a bug please check for addon confliction and report the issue to the github page[github.com]
  • Any issues or bugs reported in comments or discussions will not be read or fixed, please create an issue on the github page[github.com] or in the discord[discord.gg] instead as they are easier to manage.
  • Again I cannot stress this enough, please please please check for addon confliction. I tried my best to keep it as addon friendly as possible, but please trust me.. any poorly programmed addon will cause problems due to how much stuff is going on in the backends of this mod.
  • If you wish to see chunk borders and original map bounds (see explanation video to see what I mean) do infmap_debug (0-1) in console, chunk borders are black and the original map bounds is blue
  • The default hl2 jeep (and its derivatives) are broken because for some reason when you try and change the position of the jeep it explodes. Don't blame me, blame source.

This is cool! What if I want to make my own infinite map?
Alright, first thing I can say is to watch this video. It explains how the map works and what is happening behind the scenes
Second thing to note, worldbrushes are a bit jank on this map due to how it works (see video above) so don't expect to be using much hammer, the map you would make would likely be very lua based.
If you feel as though you are ready to take on the challenge of making your own infinite map, read the basic documentation here[github.com]. It explains how to set up and start making an infinite map

If you do not wish to make your own LUA based map and instead model one using blender, the InfMap base comes with a .OBJ loader which can be used as well.

You should make it so that particles stay in their tiles so that they don't move when you go through one.

Okay, aww sad. man alright. And I'll try to figure out what mod is breaking it and if it is. sorry and thank you. wish a lot of ur mods could get a rewrite/remake and then you finally fully be done on gmod. Anwaysy Yeah

Do note though that this mod relies on a pretty old codebase and I'm unfortunately not really interested in any major rewrite, so things like particle effects will probably just stay broken

I've seen a lot of people commenting that this mod is "broken" and "doesnt work" but it works perfectly fine for me. If anyone could point out a specific addon that is causing problems that would be great, as I have no point of reference to test with
