This is a section from other guide i did explaining how to create Sims along mods. Here i'll talk about Wicked Whims and how it can be used to enhance sims body quality, details and add many different features to your game RELATED to body modifications.

= WHAT IS =

All right, so, what's Wicked Whims? Wicked Whims is a SCRIPT mod created by Turbo Driver that adds lots of "features" to your game, allowing sims to have intimacy and a lot of things related to it, including seeing Sims without clothes. I wont get into a lot of details, since its not the main objective of the guide, if you want to know more about the mod, you'll have to look for it yourself.

What are we interested on?

Wicked Whims adds some stuff that improves our sims look and its way of interacting with others. These things are:

• Body Meshes
  
• Skin Overlays
  
• Different Body parts

Those are included when you download the mod and i'll explain what they are and what they do below, so keep reading.

IIn this guide i'll show examples of different body parts and customization for characters using WickedWhims, this, however is 100% for educational purposes.

= SKIN OVERLAY =

What are they and how are they used?

Skin overlays work as a "Extra layer" of details and shades added to your sim skin. Adding details making it more natural and realistic.

Some skin Overlay creators have in mind Wicked Whims when creating their content, so if you have WW and get your sims undressed, you'll notice details as nipples, for example, do exist in the overlay, you just couldn't see them without WW. In case of females, stuff like breast, butt, vagina and torso in general will change, adding better shadows and helping the body to look better and more realistic. In case of males, abs will be more notable and add more "masculine" details, they can add from scars to body hair. All of this depending on the skin overlay you added to the sim. REMEMBER skin overlays only changes the DETAIL, not the SHAPE OF THE BODY. I'll show how a sim looks with and without overlay looks below.

Without Overlay

For this 2 examples, I picked one of my own sim and set a vanilla skin on her, and for the second one, i took a random NPC sim that spawned and stripped her naked lol.

(Put attention in some details like clavicles, arm pit, belly, chest, nipples and see how the change. i'm aware the changes aren't that big, remember that, it depends on the overlay.)

More skin overlays

The first 2 sims, are using the SAME overlay but with different skin tones. You can see that the detail changes for the better, unlike a default sim for example. As a plus, you can use skin overlays to add effects to the body. What do i mean? well, if you see at the first sims, without overlays, the breast for example, they look like 2 cones coming out of the body, barely any shades or skin marks like they SHOULD have, and if you look at the breast with overlays, you can notice they having more shadows and skin marks, making them look like they actually have weight and generate shadows underneath.

But don't take my word for it, if you try them, you'll gt to see the changes yourself. Or you can always look for them on YouTube, Google, or just by downloading them yourselves.

= BODY MESH =

What are they?

Alright, so what is a body mesh?. To start, we need to learn what a MESH: " the structural build of a 3D model." So basically a mesh is a 3D object. So when we say BODY MESH we talk about a BODY 3D MODEL.

What do they do?

Now that we learned what they are, we know that obviously sims come with a default body mesh, which is Sims 4 original mesh. If you take a look, you'll see sims have a bit ugly body parts, that don't look really detailed, like fingers, feet, chest, breast, bottom, etc, in both male and female this is because the game is quite old. Because of this, when downloading WickedWhims, the mod comes wit its own body mesh. This one replaces how the feet, chest, breast, legs and bottom look with more detailed ones. As i said before the mod allows sims to be full naked and do many activities with that. To be clear: body mesh mean the "BODY SHAPE", a better body mesh, results in more detailed body.

Body parts need to be good-looking in order for the mod to be attractive and to look good during mod activity, so that's why mod makes this improvements.

What we can do with it?

Okay, now that we know what they are and what they do. Question comes in: "what we can do with it?". Wicked Whims adds its body mesh once you add it to your game. BUT is also makes it possible for modders to create their own meshes, making it more dynamic and variable. In case of males, you can add a body mesh that actually makes them look with big muscles and modify his "friend" so it can either be big or small (you get me). In case of females you can modify breast to make them more heavy, smaller, sharp or more curvy. For bottom shape you can make them have different hips, and modify her "friend" as well. This is enriches your sims by making them more "real". Remember that bodies are unique, and seeing how now sims can have that uniqueness is cool. At least for me it is.

I'll show some examples down here so you can see how body parts change. Please put your attention on how the SHAPE changes. We talked before about how skin overlays changes the detail, here FOCUS on the shape. Since they're the same images, you may confuse what to look at.

FEMALE MESH

Default sims "Undressed" Sim.

(I took a random NPC sim that spawned around. We know Sims doesn't have nude Sims by default, but if we get to see a naked default sim after we installed Wicked Whims it would look like this, this sim doesn't have any Skin Overlay or Different Body Mesh. 100% Vanilla Sim.)

I'll show 3 different body shapes for the breast and 2 different for the hips. I don't like to repeat myself but once again, put your eyes on the shape.

Those up there were the breast meshes. Next we have the hips mesh. They can be a little tricky to notice.

Now, either of those are cool to me, remember i said that bodies are different from each other so, yeah. Just wanted you to see that the mesh for the hip does. I don't have more meshes for hips but there are more out there to download.

MALE MESH

I wont put any Default Male Sim mesh since the change is pretty obvious here, but if you want me to put examples of Sims Default mesh, let me know.

You can see that abs and the torso of these guy have actual volume, and are not just "painted" over the body, like a vanilla jacked sim would. This helps your male sims have that "masculine" touch to them. We can conclude that, Sims are by default, all the same, but using these bodymeshes can help you add uniqueness to your sims world and give them more personality and appearance. More "fragile", "delicate" and "stunning" curves and figure for the woman and more "strong", "big" and "solid" appearance for the man.

As you can see, the shapes of the body changes, along with details on some places of the body, some of those changes only you can see them, unless you want to show everyone your naked sims, that's up to you. In the end, this guide is about how to improve sims shape for YOU to enjoy, not just to show them. But this makes sims have different body parts, that includes yours or random NPC sims. As the game works along Wicked Whims, they both'll make sims have more variety, making it more enjoyable in my opinion.

Also, the body mesh is still visible even when sims have clothes on, so if you try putting a nice bikini or swim suit, crop top on dress on your female sim or a tank-top t-shirt on your male sim, the mesh with look anyways. So you can use it to make sims look better with certain clothes and outfits.

= HEIGHT =

This is not included on Wicked Whims. But is body modification related so i'll put it here,

To be honest i don't remember the name of the mod. But as the sub-title says, it allows you to give different heights to sims. As you may know all sims have same height, so, allowing them to be small or tall gives your world more life.

IMPORTANT

Since the mod changes the height, it may cause some animations look weird. This mod is only for VISUALS. That means that you'll see sims have different heights, but for the game, they're still the same height. Because of that, when they perform actions that involve more than 1, they may look weird. For example if you have a Male that is higher than a female, when they kiss, it will look like the female is kissing the chest of the guy, and he's kissing the air or he forehead. Other than that, that mod doesn't affect anything else.

= EXAMPLES =

Well now that you came this way of the guide. And, supposing you read the other guide i have, let me show you some examples of how sims look with all of these combined. Hope you don't bother.

This sim, as you can see has:

• Skin overlay: You can see that one detail of her nipples and belly.
  
• Custom Mesh: The shape of her breast and hip are noticeable to be different than normal sims.
  
• Custom skin details: The cybernetic detail is pretty obvious i say.

This is an example of what you can do using all of that, remember that these details are still visible even when the sims has clothes on.

= END AND CONCERN ABOUT WW =

Now that you watched a little of what body meshes and skins overlays are, and how WW can make your game play and sims more "interesting" the question comes. "Why would i use this?" .

You may be thinking "Well it does have some differences from vanilla game and looks a bit better. But i wont be showing my sims naked on Artwork section or for anywhere. Well you may not, but these little details and meshes come in effect even if your sim has clothes on. Body shape and skin overlays stay visible EVEN if covered, since they work same as tattoos, they will be there all the time and it's up to you to make use of their potential. Think of this, you have a Sim covered in tattoos and looks awesome, but if you cover your sim full of clothes, tattoos wont show. Same with the topic we talking here.

Sure! luck with the game and enjoy, also, as advice, although mods are recent download, doesn't exactly means they're compatible with game's current version. Check the last time creators uploaded the mod itself. Wicked Whims updated yesterday, so the rest of the mods may take a while as well.

I recommend you to have a mod called "Better Exceptions" it checks your game and files for broken stuff, might be useful to spot the broken file giving problem. Still, i recommend to take a look again into your script mods, 100% some of it might be outdated.

Yeah I did that I downloaded the updated version but did not work, so I had to save a clean modless save to get back to work haha idk why

nice guide, the last update f*ckedup all my mods specially the wicked, what did you do to not mess all of them wirh the update, the game indicate that with the update disabled all mods, but when i turn them on it crash the mods
