You're meant to use all the pieces. Some of the puzzles have alternate solutions if you can place pieces very quickly but I don't think this was one of them. I think you've found a legit alternate solution that I missed. :)

The great thing about having horrible memory is I never remember the solution when replaying a level. I could play forever the same ones and never get bored. Found the same solution again as I was left with one mirror, I guess my mind is locked in. I won't feel like I've solved the level until I've found the original way. In some puzzle games reaching the exit without using all the provided pieces is not allowed and the greatest part of the solution difficulty is indeed find a use for all the parts. The solution doesn't sound bad once the rebounding balls are over, quite basic, but is random sounding while it is unfolding, even if always on tempo. I've made a recording [sndup.net] of it.

Not really, using less pieces does not mean a better solution. It's like making a program which uses less memory, but maybe does more computations and is hence slower. I have to solve it again and hear if I like my solution. Maybe your intended one is harmonic while ours is cacophonous. Still great that another way is possible, one that you did not plan or see when making the level.

You guys solving this with a spare mirror are smarter than I. Consider it a special achievement! :P

I've solved it with one spare mirror. Gonna try and figure out the solution you intended, probably less straightforward to me.
