Renfe S114

Renfe Operadora's 114 Series consists of 13 single-voltage electric railcars (25 kV) with vmax 250 km/h and standard gauge (1435 mm). They are trains intended for Avant (high-speed regional) services and built by Alstom. They have similar characteristics to the 104 series shuttles built by the same manufacturers, but the 114 series is derived from the four-car ETR-600/610 (M+R+M+M+M) (although without pendulum), so each unit would have a length of 107.9 and gauge of 2.920 m. A model of this train was presented at BCNRail in October 2007, where for the first time it was designated as Series 114. Previously, and provisionally, it had been assigned Series 105.1.
