You're right that remaking a character is the economical way to respec, but I'll leave it to readers to decide whether it would break their immersion. I mainly mentioned the starter dungeon to remind everyone to return to it periodically, whereas I had completely forgotten about it until I was about three-quarters of the way through the game and had trivialised many of the fun fights there.
I do want to recommend a couple small changes though.
1) A note could be added on respeccing party members. Personally, I found it WAYYYY too expensive to justify using the statue, since the game is pretty modest on handing out iron. I would suggest adding a note for newer players to consider writing down what features they selected during character creation, and simply dismiss and remake characters when you need to respec. The game's level-difference exp compensation is extremely aggressive, new characters will catch up in 2 fights tops.
2) This one is a personal thing, but I think spoiling the existence of hidden doors is unnecessary. The reveal of the mechanic is a fun moment in itself, and (if I remember right) there's really nothing you can do behind them without endgame party comps anyways. I'm mostly bringing this up for the first reason though.
