How to play Ship Simulator Extremes

Singleplayer:


In order to play this sim in Singleplayer, follow these directions:

1. Launch SSE (Ship Sim extremes)
2. Type in DLC keys (if applicable)
3. Press "Play"
4. Press "Free Roam"
5. Pick a boat of your choice
6. Pick an environment of your choice
7. Set the weather for that environment
8. Choose your starting point
9. Press "Play"
You should spawn into your world
Note: This is for singleplayer. Multiplayer requires port forwarding which is complicated. Search how to port forward on the web for your brand of router.

starting in multiplayer

In multiplayer, you will be required to port forward to host a server. In order to do that, press windows - R and type "cmd.exe". Now, type in "ipconfig"

Take note of your Default Gateway

Now, open a browser and type in the default gateway in the URL section and press enter

Sign in with your credentials (may be on your router)

Search on the web on how to port forward for your specific brand router

Set the ports (UDP/TCP) to 55559

Test your port through an open port checker to see if you successfully opened port 55559







To start a server:

Open SSE

Press "Play"
Press "Multiplayer"
Press "Start Server"
Choose Environment and Weather
On the next page which should be the Server settings, if not already, put the Port to 55559
Set your Maximum players to whatever you wish
Choose whether you want your server to be public or private
Press "Start Server"



To Invite People to your server:

search on the web "what is my ip?"
take note of your IPv4 address
Send that address to your friend (s) combined with a colon so it should be like

IP : 55559
