A quest for free MP-153

Only important information how to get semi-auto MP-153 shotgun for FREE.

⚠️WARNING!⚠️
To get MP-153 you must follow this guide`s steps with EXACTNESS, or you`ll get much worse reward.

Also, this quest is only avaliable for stalkers. There`s no way to complete it as a bandit.

Introduction

This guide is written for people who know how to move around locations, read the dialogue before choosing an answer, and most importantly, a person must clearly follow the guide and be attentive on the "POINT OF NO RETURN" tab.


I will not describe every step in this quest. I will focus your attention only on the problematic moments in the quest and on the most important moment, where you can take a wrong step and get an unwanted reward.

In case if you didn`t know, there are a large number of quests in this game, the outcome of which depends on your answer, therefore, your reward also depends on it.

Specifically, in THIS quest, dialogues do not affect the reward in any way.
This is where the player's actions do affect.

(also smh i managed to write this guide with minimum spoilers, so if you`re a fan of story of side-quests - you`re welcome)

How to start quest

To start this quest you must to go to the "Forest" location, and go on the place marked with a green circle on the screenshot below:



After you arrive, you`ll see a house. Go in, and the quest should start.
Do what the game want from you.

I will say right away that the most important moment begins with the offer of hunting.

Don`t f*ck with trees, son

After you get your axe, you`ll need to find 5 fallen trees, chop some wood.
At first, it might look easy enough, but some players get lost and can't find that very last tree.
(also, make sure you have nothing heavy in inventory, or you have spare 20+ kg of weight, because all these logs are heavy af)

Where is that son of a ...

Shortly after you chop some wood, you`ll need to find Jan.
You can find him in Forest. He appears only at midnight ~ 03:00 A.M (+2 ingame hours to spare)

You can find him inside the hole at the location, marked with a red mark.

Backpack location

The game will show you where to find Jan`s backpack, but not the exact location. Idk how, but some players still cannot find it quickly. So, i`ll leave you a screenshot how it looks and where it lies.
Look at the minimap, and search for it

⚠️⚠️POINT OF NO RETURN⚠️⚠️

Now it`s all or nothing

After you got invited for hunting, talk with Yan, and you`ll appear in a middle of forest.
Talk with guys, move to the quest marker, and you`ll see this:



After your character heard gunshot and game changes task to "Hunting: Bullseye!" you better go away.
Just abandon the quest. Forget about it.
DO NOT approach NPC`s and DONT talk to them.
Basically you can do whatever you want. You can continue farming, or go back to the base, or simply go back to that house (avoid NPC`s, don`t forget), disconnect there, and wait.

We need to wait ~1 hour of real time.
We wait until we see this:



Better to check your PDA, is the quest still there. If it`s not - you can relax. You did everything right (didn`t you?).

Come back to that lonely house in a forest. You will understand what to do.
If you don`t know what to do next - step out of the house for 10 meters.

What if you "fail" the guide?

Well, its not the end of the world, and you still will be able to get a shotgun, even if you`ll put it in your personal storage and will never use it.

Conclusions

If you done everything according to this guide, you were supposed to get "Yan`s Murka", semi-auto camouflaged shotgun with extended magazine and nice little holographic sight.

best quest concept i´ve ever seen. Randomly ignore the Quest midway through and theres even an outcome with different loot for that. Funny gruesome. The Item description for the Mp-153 Tops the whole situation even further -> The weapon has an engraving, smth like: "For my Son Jan, Happy Birthday"

After you fail the "Bullseye!" mission, go back to the house, chat with gramps, go outisde till you get a monolouge about gunshot, then get inside the house, go forward to the underground storage you'll find gramps body along with the shotgun

Never suffered of logs weight, but that`s actually important. Thanks, i`ll add a warning about that.

Found the quest by accident yesterday and finished it as well. You should add a warning about the logs, They are quite heavy and might bogged down an unprepared player.

Personally I like the TOZ, faster firerate and faster reload time. Its also not affected by the shotgun bug.

Wierd. Never heard about that.
All you had to do, after you heard gunshot is run away, or /suicide, wait 1 REAL hour until quest FAILED itself and only after that you come back to the house...
