ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ

Transform your city into a mini-Paris, a sprawling metropolis on the Côte d'Azur or a quaint provincial town somewhere in France, with the help of some authentic French street names. No diacritics on the keyboard required!

Features:
  • 71 street prefixes (Rue, Boulevard, Quai...)
  • 22,785 street suffixes (Louis Pasteur, de la République, des Comtes de Champagne...)
  • Smarter street naming based on road type, shape and surrounding features – squares and roundabouts, waterfront roads, hillsides and dead ends, are just a few of the factors affecting the chosen street name.
  • Motorway numbering, and automatic detection and assignment of shared numbers to motorway carriageways running side-by-side.

The following were the main sources used in the creation of the mod:

How to use
Subscribe to this mod and enable it in the Content Manager.

You also need to be subscribed to Harmony 2.x, a utility which facilitates mod creation.

Compatibility
  • UK Street Names – ❌(for obvious reasons)
  • Custom Namelists – ✔️Street names set with Custom Namelists will be ignored, but any other names (districts etc.) will work fine.
  • Any other mods – most likely✔️

@Delta 5-1 - thank you for your reply and I will opt for the personal use way. Thank you again for your advice!

Hi Globetrotter, yes, it should be possible.

If it's only for your personal use, you should be able to simply replace the contents of the two CSV files with street prefixes and suffixes, which you'll find in the mod's folder. It would best to first create a local copy of the mod and edit that copy, instead of the subscribed copy, to make sure Steam doesn't overwrite your edited files at some point in the future.

If you were looking to publish it as a mod on the Workshop, it would be a bit more work. There is a link to the GitHub repo in the description above, which you could base it off (in addition to the CSV files, you'd need to change things like the mod name etc.). Then you'd need to recompile it, which if you haven't done any modding in CS before, or programming in general, may be a challenge. It's been a couple years since I've last done any modding, so can't remember exactly how to set it up, but I do remember there are some tutorials for this online.

Hope that helps.

Could I adapt this to have Spanish street names? On another discussion it was suggested that I could manually add Spanish names to a spreadsheet / list (?). Would this be possible? Thank you for any help!
