COMMITTEE OF ZERO PATCH INSTALLATION GUIDE FOR STEAM DECK

Hi everyone! This is the most easy guide to install CoZ patches for every SciADV visual novel.
I hope this guide will help you, because I've had so much pain to get it work and spent to it a lot of time.

  I'm not the original creator of the guide above but I want it to be easy with patching things by yourself

1. Switch to Desktop Mode

• Hold power button and click "Switch to desktop"

2. Download Protontricks from Discover app store

• You need to go to Discover store from taskbar, find Protontricks there and hit Install button

3. ❗️Make sure you've installed and opened at least once any and all of the games that you want to patch❗️

4. Head to Committee of Zero website and download the patch you need

• Committee of Zero[sonome.dareno.me]

5. Extract the patch in the Downloads folder (This is done by right clicking on them and pressing extract)

6. Open Protontricks and double-click on the game you want to patch.

• In my case I'm installing the patch for Robotics;Notes DaSH

7. Click on "Select the default wineprefix"

8. Click on "Run explorer"

9. Navigate to My Computer/Z:/home/deck/Downloads/[Folder_with_patch]

10. Double click the installer and install it as normal.

Troubleshooting

For Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0 to work like this, you need to install vcruntime2019.

• to do this, Open Protontricks
  
• double-click Steins;Gate 0 (I did this with this game and it worked for both, no need to do this twice)
  
• select the default wineprefix
  
• select Install Windows DLL or component
  
• and install vcruntime2019 from the list

My SciADV game installed on MicroSD card, is it okay?

• I can't say for sure if it works or not. You can test it by yourself. If it works just leave a comment under the guide.

I did all this. It's still showing me the default game. None of the patches benefits.
